・The terrace seats on a sunny day are the best cafe spot.
・The hot dogs are delicious.
I visited Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park after a long time, and it has become a completely different beautiful place than it was before (more than 10 years ago).
In the past, I only thought of it as a messy park, but now it has been completely renovated into a fashionable spot for theater performances.
The "Global Ring Cafe" located in such a place seems to have the concept of a cafe with a window to provide information on Tokyo tourism. Therefore, with an approach towards foreign visitors, I, as a Japanese person, felt like I was in a cafe overseas.
On a sunny spring day, I sat comfortably on the terrace, where English was spoken around me, and there were cool foreigners working on their laptops in T-shirts and jeans. This also adds to the feeling of being abroad.
There is also a stage in front of you, so depending on the timing, you can enjoy the cafe while watching performances on the stage, making it a perfect location.
Thinking that the "space is lovely," I ordered a hot dog, sandwich, and a drink. And, isn't the food wonderful too? It's just delicious!
The items I received are as follows:
- Hot sandwich ham & cheese (380 yen): A simple ham & cheese hot sandwich. The bread was soft and chewy. The taste is classic, but the packaging is cute. The hot sandwich fits snugly in a small box designed for eating on the go or taking it with you. At this price, it gives you an exciting feeling of buying something easily.
- Terimayo dog (600 yen) / A-SET (480 yen): This is delicious! The hot dog features a perfect balance of texture between crispy bread and fluffy wiener, with the flavor of Terimayo enhancing it. The seaweed on top of the hot dog also adds to the deliciousness. The highlight is the nachos. After taking a bite of the hot dog, mixing the crispy nachos in your mouth like a chaser brings a happiness that cannot be described. The Terimayo punch is strong, so I thought the nachos were plain, but after refreshing my mouth with coffee, I tried them and found a hint of chili flavor. Additionally, on weekdays, you can order one of the following three weekday lunch sets at a discounted price when ordering a bread item:
A: Mini salad + set drink (480 yen)
B: Soup + set drink (500 yen)
C: Mini salad + soup + set drink (550 yen)
This time, I ordered the A set, which came with iced coffee and a mini salad with Caesar dressing.
- Lemonade ice (430 yen) Float topping (150 yen): Lemonade to drink alongside the hot dog. The float topping with Hokkaido milk-based ice cream is also delicious. Towards the end, as the ice cream melts into the lemonade, it creates a unique flavor.
Not only the great location and atmosphere, but the food was also simple yet delicious. With the convenience of being near the station, it's practically perfect. Whether for a light snack, lunch, or just for a cafe visit, it's great. I would love to use it for work outside, like the cool foreigner next to me, working stylishly on their laptop.笑
