Due to the typhoon, the Musashino Line was suspended, so I decided to take the Keihin route back home and made a stop at Akabane. Inside Akabane station, I headed to Ecute to get some Inari sushi from Mamedanuki-san. It's a shame that the number of stores has decreased recently, making it harder to find nearby. I purchased 10 pieces of Wasabi Inari. There are various types available, but my favorite is the Wasabi Inari. Inside, there is flower wasabi which gives it a little kick. The delicious taste is addictive. It has a Kansai-style flavor, subtle and elegant. They also offer assorted sets.

Inside Akabane Station, I found this shop in Ecute that mainly sells Inari sushi. They have a normal Inari sushi called "Mamedainari" for 97 yen each. The fried tofu had a subtle dashi flavor, creating an elegant taste. The rice texture, fried texture, and flavor were all just right.

On my way from Kami-Itabashi Station to Ikebukuro Station on the Saikyo Line, I couldn't resist the temptation of the "Inari Assortment" for 400 yen, including tax, during my transfer at Akabane Station. (´;ω;`)ウッ... It may seem cheap in the city, but if you think about it in the countryside, it doesn't feel cheap at all. I hurriedly stuffed the fried tofu pouches with seasoned rice into my mouth without savoring the flavor of the pickled ginger... Rushing to catch a train is dangerous!

[2019.09.28 Visit] Location: Inside Akabane Station at Ecute. Visited around 6:30 PM on Saturday. Ecute has many attractive shops, so many temptations! Visited Mamedanuki-san right by the entrance after a while. I first visited their shop in Shizuoka. I've been coming here quite often since then. Bought 2 Mamedanuki Inari for 97 yen each and 2 Wasabi Inari for 97 yen each. Had them as snacks with alcohol. Still delicious as ever. Thank you for the meal.

Looking for Halloween merchandise, I took a roundabout trip to explore Ecute stores. I visited Ecute in Akabane, where I found Halloween items at the specialty inari sushi shop called Mamedanuki. They offer a Halloween inari sushi for 216 yen (tax included). It's a large triangular inari sushi with a Jack-o'-lantern grilled mark on the fried tofu filled with rice mixed with various ingredients. The taste was a bit on the stronger side.

In March 2017, I visited a shop at ecute inside Akabane Station and bought some souvenirs to take home. They had a variety of inari sushi, including soybean tofu inari for ¥108, golden ginger inari, wasabi inari, and cherry blossom inari for ¥138. My favorite was the ginger inari, which had a perfect balance of spiciness, freshness, and texture. It was delicious! The second most popular was the wasabi inari, followed by the soybean tofu inari. I am a fan of soybean tofu, so I often buy it as a souvenir. It's convenient that the shop has been opening in various locations, making it easier for me to purchase. Thank you for the delicious food!

A deli specializing in inari sushi, born in Osaka Umeda over forty years ago. Various types of inari sushi are sold here. This time, I purchased a discounted pack for 400 yen including tax, just before closing time. - Mameinari (Bean Curd with Tofu) 80 yen (+tax): A classic inari sushi with shiitake mushrooms, kanpyo, and golden sesame seeds. The sweetness is mild with a gentle taste. - Wasabi Inari 80 yen (+tax): Surprisingly strong wasabi flavor that tingles the nose. - Ume Hijiki Inari 160 yen (+tax): A June limited edition inari sushi. The acidity of plum and the sweetness of the bean curd surprisingly complement each other. - Golden Ginger Inari 100 yen (+tax): Contains ginger for a refreshing taste. - Gomoku Inari 140 yen (+tax): Contains lotus root, hijiki seaweed, burdock, bamboo shoots, and carrots. - Kuro Mameinari (Black Bean with Brown Sugar) 120 yen (+tax): Uses black sugar for a slightly sweeter taste. Inari sushi tends to get a bit boring if you eat too many of the same kind, but having various types available makes it enjoyable without getting tired of it. It's fun to compare and try different flavors. From the 20th to the 26th of every month, a limited edition "Konnyaku Inari" wrapped in konnyaku is available, which I'm very curious about, so I'd like to try it next time.

This is an inari sushi specialty shop located inside Ecute at Akabane Station. The shop is called "Mamedanuki" and you can sometimes see it at JR stations. The inari sushi here is easy to eat and comes in a long, thin shape, making it seem like you could eat as many as you want. There are many different varieties available, including seasonal new items. On this day, I purchased the "Wasabi Inari" for 86 yen and the "Mamedanuki Inari" which was featured on TV for 86 yen. The seasoning of the rice and fried tofu varies for each filling, so you won't get tired of eating them.

Located inside the ecute commercial facility at Akabane Station, this restaurant specializes in inari sushi and has its main store in Osaka Umeda. Despite being founded in 2006, it has expanded to multiple locations within JR stations and seems to be thriving. I purchased some inari sushi as a souvenir for my family member, who loves inari sushi. I bought wasabi inari (¥86), golden ginger inari (¥108), red salmon inari (¥172), and shredded mountain pepper inari (¥172), all prices including tax. I bought them around 18:00 and the expiration time was 24:00. After having drinks with a friend, we returned home and enjoyed the inari sushi before bedtime. It was a healthier option than ramen for a late-night snack, and the shredded mountain pepper inari was particularly delicious. I also noticed that the ecute at Akabane Station houses the Sitarra Diner Ecute Akabane branch, which I would like to visit occasionally.

JR Akabane Station has a store called Ecute Akabane Tanuki, and I often pass by it without paying much attention. Today, I stopped by to buy dinner. I purchased a variety of fox sushi from the showcase. The Ume Okaka Inari for 147 yen had a nice texture with crispy plum and bonito flakes. The Akagome Inari for 147 yen is a specialty in Akabane, but I didn't have any special impressions on the taste. The Tokyo Tanuki for 168 yen had a sweet fried taste and a delicious sesame flavor. The Wasabi Inari for 84 yen had a good wasabi flavor. Since the portion is small, it's better to buy two pieces. The Tanuki Inari for 84 yen is like a smaller version of the Tokyo Inari but has a stronger taste and is delicious. It's bite-sized, so I'd like to buy a large quantity next time. The total cost was 630 yen. It may seem a bit expensive, but considering the taste, it's worth it! The containers are sturdy, so it's safe to buy them as souvenirs. Thank you for the meal! ★★★3.0

JR Akabane Station's store "Mame Tanuki" inside Ecute Akabane is a place I often buy from at Ecute Omiya as well. When I happened to peek into Ecute while transferring at Akabane Station, I found it here too and made a purchase. - Wasabi Inari (84 yen): A simple dish with slightly light seasoning, consisting of rice and wasabi stem stuffed in fried tofu. - Black Mame Tanuki (126 yen): A black inari made by simmering fried tofu in black sugar, giving it a strong flavor and sweetness. - Inari with fried tofu (350 yen): A pack of 5 bite-sized inari. Mame Tanuki's inari is something I occasionally crave. Last visit: 2012.04.23

Inside the ecute at Akabane Station, there is a shop with stacked inari sushi in the showcase, each with a sample of its filling next to it. Most of them seem to have some kind of ingredient mixed in with the regular white vinegar rice. I purchased wasabi inari (84 yen) and mame-dofu inari (84 yen). Both are quite long inari sushi. It seems they use different types of fried tofu for each. The filling of mame-dofu inari consists of sesame seeds, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourd. The fried tofu has a rough, shiny surface, a more traditional type. The fried tofu is sweet and juicy. The vinegar rice inside has a nice sesame seed flavor. I thought the wasabi inari would use ground wasabi, but it actually uses wasabi leaves. It makes sense when you think about it. The fried tofu has a smooth, matte texture on the surface. The moment you put it in your mouth, you feel the pungent flavor of wasabi. It has a kick but not too spicy... well, it might be spicy if you eat a lot. The fried tofu is not as juicy as the mame-dofu inari's, and when eaten alone, it feels like it becomes hollow as you chew. It has a weaker water absorption ability, so it's less sweet than the mame-dofu inari, but when eaten with the vinegar rice, the sweetness stands out and tastes delicious. Wasabi and sweetness really go well together. Inari sushi is so delicious when you have it occasionally, right? I might get addicted to it.

On January 24, 2014, I was intrigued by the konjac inari purchased by Berry Tart at the Tachikawa store, so I decided to stop by a shop in Akabane on my way to my parents' house. Fortunately, they also sold it as a limited-time item from the 20th to the 26th of each month, so I bought it along with the Gomoku Inari for a taste test. The konjac inari was small in size, with a distinct konjac flavor and plenty of sesame and yuzu mixed into the rice filling, giving it a refreshing taste. The rice was packed tightly, making it a bit firm, but overall it was an interesting twist on traditional inari sushi. On March 15, 2012, I searched for the Mame Tanuki recommended by Nanakusa Kayu and found out that it was located in ecute Akabane. I stopped by on my way to my parents' house. The shop originated in Osaka's Umeda district in 1972 under the name "Mame Tanuki" and started making inari sushi. The store had a glass window where you could see them making the inari sushi, and when I visited at 10:30, they were still making them. I was unsure of what to buy, but I ended up getting a set of seasonal inari assortments (609 yen), black Mame Tanuki (126 yen), and wasabi inari (84 yen) for individual tasting. I enjoyed them with my mother at home, and she particularly liked the perfect spiciness of the wasabi inari. The black Mame Tanuki had a lingering sweetness from black sugar, different from regular inari, and the seasonal inari had a mix of bamboo shoots and rapeseed flowers for a fun texture. The Tokyo inari, with its large size and sesame seeds, had a great fried taste that we both enjoyed. Thank you for the meal, and next time, I would like to focus on trying more wasabi inari.

Located inside Akabane Station Ecute. The name of the shop, Mamedanuki, is pronounced as "mameda." Feeling a little hungry, I stopped by for something light to eat. There aren't many options, but everything looks delicious. Today, I bought the Spring Color Inari (\147) and the Mamedanuki Inari (\84). The Spring Color Inari is like a mixed rice dish with crunchy ingredients. The Mamedanuki Inari has a nice sesame flavor. Both have a perfect balance of sweet and savory from the fried tofu and vinegar rice. They were both delicious. It's also a good idea to get them boxed up for a bento.

When I went to Akabane for work, I visited this shop. I found this shop on Tabelog and wanted to go. The shop is located inside Akabane Station. I wanted to buy the konnyaku inari that I saw on Tabelog, but they didn't have it. I wonder if they don't sell it anymore? I bought regular inari instead. As always, it was delicious.

At Ecute Akabane, there are many delicatessen shops to choose from, but this place specializes in Inari sushi, which sets it apart. I bought a red bean Inari sushi for 84 yen, and it was incredibly delicious. It seems to have vinegar rice with sesame seeds and hijiki seaweed mixed in. I regret not checking the ingredients before devouring it. But that's how good it was. Inari sushi has definitely evolved, thanks to this specialty shop.

*Waiting time* Friday night discount omitted *Order & amount* Shogayaki konnyaku black bean tanuki *Atmosphere of the restaurant* Omitted *Service* Omitted *Impressions* I thought that the konnyaku inari was the most delicious. It was easy to eat without the smell of konnyaku, and I liked that it was healthy. The myoga was crunchy and delicious. The black bean tanuki was a bit too sweet for me, and while the ginger was tasty, I wished it had a stronger presence. *What to look forward to* I would like to repeat the konnyaku inari.

I always buy Inari sushi from Mamedanuki-san when heading to a JR terminal station. Recently, their branches in Tokyo have increased, making it convenient to buy on my way to the terminal. This time, I visited their shop inside JR Akabane Station. I stopped by after eating soba in Higashijujo. I arrived around 3:15 pm on a Saturday. Since it's inside the ticket gate, it's common to purchase before boarding the JR train. I bought their classic Wasabi Inari and the monthly special, Takana Inari with mayonnaise. The Wasabi Inari is already a favorite of mine, with a great wasabi flavor. The Takana Inari had a subtle mayonnaise taste, but the texture and taste of the takana matched well with the sushi rice. I wonder where I'll encounter Mamedanuki-san next at a terminal station.

I visited the Ecute Akabane store of "Mamedanuki" in Akabane. The store is located inside JR Akabane Station at "Ecute Akabane". "Mamedanuki" is a specialty inari sushi shop founded in 1972 in Osaka Umeda. It is currently a subsidiary of Hankyu Hanshin Toho Group and has stores in department stores and station buildings. I first used their store at Tokyo Station in November and found it delicious, so this time I visited the nearest Akabane store to buy inari sushi. The inari sushi set I bought that day was the Christmas Inari Assortment (702 yen including tax). I enjoyed it at home. The Christmas Inari Assortment was sold exclusively at Ecute Akabane store, Ueno store, Shinagawa store, and Omiya store from December 23rd to 25th. The contents include: 1. Tomato Chicken Inari, 2. Gomoku (five ingredients), 3. Ginger, 4. Mamedanuki, 5. Wasabi. 1. Tomato Chicken Inari: This is a Christmas limited edition inari sushi with tomato sauce and chicken topping. The combination of tomato sauce, vinegar rice, and fried tofu may have a divisive taste, but the tender chicken was delicious and satisfying. 2. Gomoku Inari: A delicious inari sushi with lotus root, carrot, burdock root, bamboo shoot, and hijiki. 3. Ginger Inari: This inari sushi uses golden ginger from Kochi Prefecture as an ingredient. The finely chopped ginger flavor and gentle stimulation make it an enjoyable inari. 4. Mamedanuki Inari: A slightly sweet inari sushi made with gold sesame, shiitake mushrooms, and dried gourd. 5. Wasabi Inari: Inari sushi mixed with chopped wasabi greens in vinegar rice. A delicious inari with the flavor and kick of wasabi. While the Tomato Chicken Inari may have a unique flavor that some may not prefer, the other inari sushi were very delicious and I would like to try them again. Next time, I would like to purchase the inari sushi that I have not tried yet. Thank you for the meal.

*Waiting time* No waiting before 8pm on Thursdays *Order & Price* Inari sushi with beans for 105 yen *Atmosphere of the shop* It is located quietly in the corner of Ecute Akabane. *Service* You can purchase just one piece. They carefully wrap even a single piece and provide ginger. Calorie information is available. The expiration date is the same day. *Impression* The deep-fried part is flavorful, the rice is chewy, and the sesame seeds are crunchy and delicious. The dried gourd and shiitake mushrooms are subtle to the point where you might wonder where they are. *What to look forward to* It was delicious with a sweet flavor. Next time, I would like to try the konjac inari sushi.
