蔵田ほたる
The restaurant "Torinokoyasan" is one of the few places in the Kanto region where you can eat Amakusa Daio, and it has always been at the top of my list of places to visit. Finally, I was able to go there and I was so excited that I couldn't even take a nap after work. To top it off, on the way to the restaurant, I saw @akasaka_sumika's story saying, "We have amazing white liver today" ❤️ Even though I was on the train, I quietly did a fist pump by myself thinking, "What a great day it is!" When I arrived at the restaurant, I first ordered the golden nectar of life, Sapporo beer, which was just perfect ❤️ Due to the spread prevention period, they didn't have draft beer, but Red Star was satisfying enough ⭐️ For food, I ordered a 7-skewer course and side dishes. The skewers and dishes I enjoyed were as follows:
- Appetizer: Chicken prosciutto and white asparagus with bisque & vichyssoise
- Chicken breast and avocado Korean seaweed roll
- Liver teki
- Grilled chicken thigh with salt sauce
- Duck, cartilage, and Amakusa Daio salt tsukune
- Amakusa Daio skinless
- Duck shiitake mushroom
- Chicken skin
- Chicken wing tip
- Maitake mushroom
- Additional skewer
- Seseri (chicken neck)
- White liver
- Cartilage
- Ginkgo nut
- Chochin (Japanese lantern) skewer
- Finale & dessert: Chicken ramen, Amakusa Daio parent and child bowl, Crème brûlée
Amakusa Daio, the largest male chicken that can weigh up to 7kg, has a meat quality that is neither too tough nor too soft, and is juicy and delicious ❤️ The number one most popular skewer, salt tsukune, did not disappoint. The white liver, which was a shocking encounter, was first enjoyed as tataki and then ordered as a skewer. It was a blissful moment enjoying the white liver. The duck shiitake mushroom, which was the first skewer of the day, was truly impressive and delicious. The combination of beer and tsukune when I was so hungry was just amazing. The tsukune was not too fluffy or too tough, and had a great meaty and juicy texture, making it very delicious. It's no wonder it's the number one favorite! The duck shiitake mushroom was so delicious that it blew away the conventional belief that duck goes well with green onions. The shiitake mushroom absorbed all the duck's fat and umami flavors. I wonder why I never introduced these two before. I indulged quite a bit in both the alcohol and yakitori that day, and I was surprised at my strong stomach, but the yakitori, side dishes, finale, and dessert were all delicious and the restaurant was very reasonable. I would love to visit again at a more leisurely pace ❤️ Special thanks to @akasaka_sumika.
