Limited menu clam and egg rice bowl set. We were drawn in by the menu on the sign and decided to try it. One order was enough for the two of us. The clam and egg rice bowl was delicious, slightly sweet. The cold soba noodles were smooth and tasty, with a slightly strong dipping sauce. We were impressed. We plan to try other limited menu items next time. Surely they will be delicious again.

I stopped by for lunch during work and ordered the "Oomori Soba". The soba noodles were served in a well-aged round sieve, generously portioned and surprisingly flavorful. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet and very rich, giving it a unique taste. Despite its unassuming appearance, this soba restaurant in a quiet town was affordable and delicious.

The sign said "Yabusoba" so I should have tried their proper soba noodles, but I ended up choosing the "Katsudon and Soba Set" from the menu. I could have chosen cold soba noodles in a set, but it was cold so I went with warm soba noodles instead! The Katsudon from the Kanto region had a rich flavor, but it was delicious. The soba noodle broth was also quite strong in flavor. It was so tasty that I finished everything in no time!

Today, I had the duck soup soba for 850 yen and it was delicious. The katsudon and tendon sets that other people were eating looked really good too. The daily special golden eye snapper tendon set also seemed appealing.

I had the marinated tuna rice bowl set. The sign said it was a limited edition item for July and August, but I was able to eat it in September. The sauce was quite sweet and rich. The soba itself was a type with a strong fragrance, so I think it's a favorite for those who like it. The marinated bowl had a good seasoning but I felt like there was a bit too much marinade. It was a bit larger than a half-size, so I think it's just the right amount for men when paired with soba. When looking at the menu, I was drawn to the cold power soba. I had already ordered the marinated bowl set, so I passed on it, but I have never tried the cold power udon.

Yabusoba is located about a 3-minute walk south of Ayase Station West Exit. It has the atmosphere of a typical soba restaurant found in any station area. This place has been around since the previous owner, and the interior is small with about four 4-person tables and one 2-person table. However, the soba here is not your average taste that you would find at any station. When thinking of delicious soba restaurants in the area, places like Gin Hachitei in Kameari, Kazawa in Ayase, and Senshuchiku Yabu in Kitasenju come to mind. But the soba and soba dipping sauce at Yabusoba are just as good as these highly rated places. In particular, the rich and sweet-savory soba dipping sauce with a strong bonito flavor is outstanding. In my opinion, it rivals the soba at those top-rated places. Back in my younger days, I used to search for delicious soba by riding my Super Cub for about 10 hours on local roads, from the famous soba in Hitachi Akisoba in Ibaraki to Togakushi soba in Nagano. The combination of soba and hot springs is the best! Even with that experience, I find it strange that such delicious soba is available so close by. The secret to the taste may lie with the young master (or the inherited previous owner) of this restaurant. I have not spoken directly with him, but I imagine he has undergone proper training at a well-known restaurant or has conducted extensive research. The dedication to serving delicious soba and the solid skills required to achieve this flavor must be the reason behind it. I recommend the 500 yen Mori Soba, which is a must-try. Even with a large portion, it is only 700 yen. The volume is just right. Try pulling out 4-5 pieces of finely cut, slightly firm Mori Soba, dipping them in the sweet-savory and rich soba dipping sauce, and slurping it all in one go. The aroma of the soba, the rich bonito and eggplant flavor spreads in your mouth and smoothly passes through your nose. It tastes delicious from the bottom of your heart. You don't have to imitate, but try dipping the soba in the cold water and eating it. The quality of the soba itself is evident. When autumn comes and the season for new soba arrives, be sure to visit Yabusoba in Ayase, not in the depths of Ibaraki or Togakushi in Nagano!

There is a soba restaurant about a 3-4 minute walk from Ayase Station. Ayase doesn't have many dining options aside from chain restaurants. I recommend trying the Nanban soba. I think they used pre-packaged ingredients, like a duck set or something. Small soba restaurants tend to do that. The portion was generous and the taste was delicious, nothing out of the ordinary. It was surprisingly crowded during lunchtime. I didn't realize that part of Ayase is in Katsushika Ward.

When I went to Ayase, I visited a shop that had caught my eye before and finally went in this time. My family of three had a meal there. We ordered an eel tempura rice bowl set, cold fried mochi udon, and meat Nanban soba. Each dish was brought to us separately. It took about 10 minutes from the first fried mochi udon to the last eel tempura rice bowl. The taste was good for each dish! The eel tempura rice bowl had high-quality eel for the season. The fatty part of the eel was excellent. The sauce had a slight sweetness that matched well and I liked it. The soba was average, thin and slightly dark buckwheat soba. The fried mochi was delicious, but the smell of oil was strong, so if you are sensitive to it, you may not like it. The meat Nanban soba had dry meat. Other than that, it was average. Overall, it's a casual restaurant to go to. It's just a delicious restaurant. I would like to go there again. The staff are friendly and likeable. I look forward to trying a different menu next time.

Having a few drinks at night and then having soba noodles is the best!
