Beijing Duck Restaurant @ Songya-ri (Ginza 2-chome) - Half a century since the last time I had all-you-can-eat and the first time with all-you-can-drink! The last time I went to an all-you-can-eat was in high school at the Shakey's in Ochanomizu to satisfy my voracious appetite (surprised that other branches are still around!). As an adult, I didn't find the appeal in "all-you-can-eat" as much as "eat what you want", because most places set the cost at a level where they don't lose money, and there's a high chance that the dishes you want to eat are not included. However, this place had an interesting lineup of dishes. I prefer fried chicken and roasted duck over Peking duck, but decided to give it a try. With the recent trend of online reservations, all-you-can-drink included, it was 5,500 yen per person! In Ginza, eating and drinking can easily cost around 10,000 yen per person, so this was a good deal at half the price. Started with a toast with beer, a safe choice in a Chinese restaurant. The Peking duck arrived, enough for two people! It was surprisingly good. Stir-fried pea shoots, a must-have dish. I momentarily mistook the shark fin and egg dish for shark fin soup, but it was not, just glass noodles. Switched to Shaoxing wine and enjoyed it. Stir-fried squid with perilla leaves had a great texture, not like frozen at all. Another round of Peking duck for two, this time with more crispy skin. Taro and wolfberry dish was simple and delicious. Cumin stir-fried heart was flavorful. The scallop steamed dish was a letdown. The scallop dish earlier had given me hope, but this one was not up to par. Finished with stir-fried vermicelli, which was surprisingly good. The variety of dishes was impressive, not the usual Chinese restaurant fare. With more than half of the customers being Chinese, the quality of the food was probably authentic. A great experience that made me grateful and wanting to visit again.

Located in a luxurious building in Ginza, this restaurant has a clean and sophisticated atmosphere like an upscale family restaurant. They offer a 2-hour all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option for 6,000 yen. The staff are efficient and take orders promptly, serving dishes quickly. Overall, it's a great value for the price.

First, we had draft beer, Sichuan century egg tofu, and a quarter of Peking duck. Later, we had rock soda and seafood congee. The Sichuan century egg tofu had a decent taste, but there was too little century egg, so we could only taste the tofu. Next time, I'll order the century egg without tofu. The Peking duck portion was about double what we expected. The skin was crispy, the meat was tender, and it paired perfectly with the rich sweet bean sauce. It was very delicious, and we think it could serve two people. The seafood congee was light and flavorful, with shrimp, scallops, and squid. It was also very delicious. We were too full from the Peking duck, so we didn't order noodles or rice dishes. Overall, it was extremely delicious. It truly lived up to being a Peking duck specialty restaurant.

The amount and variety of dishes were plentiful and all delicious. We opted for the 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course, and the Peking duck, in particular, was carved right in front of us, providing enjoyment for both the eyes and the taste buds. The dishes came out at a good pace, almost too fast to keep up with eating, which I think would satisfy even male diners.

The variety of dishes was great, so I thought it was a good value. It seems to be a specialty restaurant for Peking duck. The course included not only the skin but also plenty of meat to enjoy. The miso sauce might be a bit divisive in taste, and the shark fin soup that came with it wasn't quite to my liking overall. The reviews seem to be positive, and the restaurant has a clean and non-Chinese style interior. The best dish for me was the fried rice topped with mapo tofu. Some reviews mentioned that the staff was not very friendly, but I didn't experience that at all. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I had some business around Ginza and was in the mood for Chinese food, so I decided to go to this restaurant. It's located on the 5th floor of a building near Matsuya Ginza, where there are also offices for Tiffany. I arrived around 11:30 and noticed that many office workers were coming to this floor via the elevator. The Chinese lunch menu seems to be popular among them. I ordered the shrimp chili set meal, which was around 1100 yen including tax. I also added Beijing duck for an extra 300 yen. A few years ago, I read that the Beijing duck was included as a service in the lunch set, but now it's an additional cost. However, even with the price increase, it was still very reasonable. The shrimp chili set meal was delicious with plenty of shrimp in a spicy chili sauce. The meat shumai was a complimentary dish and the thick egg soup was tasty. The Beijing duck had a satisfying portion for the price. It's no wonder this place is popular among office workers in the area. The restaurant is in a building where Tiffany is located, so the windows are large and beautiful. I heard they also have a branch in Yokohama Chinatown, which must be authentic. Overall, it was a great place to enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at a reasonable price. Thank you for the meal!

The Chinese buffet didn't have high quality food, but it was quite tasty. Being able to eat Peking duck without limit was great, so I want to go again. My companions also liked it and said they want to use it for company parties.

We gathered to celebrate a friend who came from Osaka. We made a reservation through Tabelog for a 6,300 yen all-you-can-eat and drink course, but it was discounted to 6,000 yen which was a great deal. When we went up to the 6th floor, we were surprised to see Chinese customers smoking at the entrance with ashtrays provided. However, the staff were very friendly and attentive, which was a pleasant surprise. The Peking duck was sliced a bit thick, but it was nice that they brought out a whole duck for us. We had a great time eating and enjoying ourselves.

The Viking-style buffet had delicious dishes with just the right amount of portions. However, it was disappointing that the air conditioning in the restaurant was set too low, making it too cold to enjoy the meal comfortably. It was pouring rain outside due to a sudden heavy rainstorm, so I wanted to relax and take a break while eating, but ended up leaving after about an hour because of the cold. Despite there being only 1 or 2 other groups in the restaurant at the time, the staff seemed to be adjusting the air conditioning to discourage customers from lingering. This was a bit of a shock and influenced my rating of the restaurant.

Despite the price increase, it feels like the menu has gotten smaller. I used to frequent the Harajuku store, which was cheaper, but it closed down so I came to the Ginza store. I was somewhat satisfied. The food is usually slow to come out, but this time it was fast. By the way, I went to the newly opened Ueno store last time, but the food was slow and the staff's attitude was not good. They had a shrimp dish limit of 2 per person, and since there were 2 of us, we ordered 4 dishes and were asked if we really wanted to order 4 dishes. It was nonsensical. Compared to that bad experience, I was satisfied this time.

[Elegant Authentic Chinese Cuisine Experience] I was taken to the Peking Kaoya Ten Ginza store by a senior colleague from the company nearby (thank you for treating me). When we stepped out of the elevator in the building, we entered a spacious, bright space with a white-based decor. The lunch menu was extensive, and all the staff were Chinese. I had the set of Dan Dan noodles and half fried rice. The Dan Dan noodles soup was well-balanced, and the portion of fried rice was generous. As a side dish, there was a small plate of dumplings topped with gyoza. It seems to be a weekday service. A small bowl of almond jelly was included as dessert. The main focus seems to be Sichuan cuisine, with flavors tailored to Japanese tastes yet still authentic and reasonably priced. Perfect for a Chinese lunch. They also offer all-you-can-eat and drink plans in the evening, and you must try the Peking duck. I will definitely visit again.

This time, I opted for all-you-can-eat without drinks, but in the end, it would have been more cost-effective to choose the all-you-can-drink option. The food was ordered individually by writing down the item number and quantity on a memo paper, which was efficient in preventing order mistakes. However, it would be better if the service was a bit more polite.

I made a reservation for dinner and was a bit nervous due to the mixed reviews on Google, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food came out quickly, the dishes were clean (although some were chipped), and the staff understood Japanese. However, the Peking duck, which was supposed to be their specialty, had too much meat, little skin, and a strong odor. It was hard to finish. The portion sizes were small, but I was able to try a variety of dishes like delicious shrimp and scallops. The restaurant was quite lively, so if you don't like noise, be aware.

A beautiful and spacious restaurant. I have been to a place in Yokohama that offers an order buffet with Peking duck. Creamy and mildly spicy tantan noodles, plenty of fried rice, dumplings, and almond jelly for 1100 yen. I thought I had gone overboard with the carbs, but the tantan noodles had plenty of bean sprouts and greens in them. They used to include Peking duck in the lunch menu before. I should have gone then. The Chinese staff provides service with a Chinese touch.笑

The location is Ginza 1-chome. I came here out of curiosity because I thought a Beijing duck buffet for around 4000 yen would be cheap. The main Beijing duck turned out to be surprisingly meaty with the skin, which was unexpected. I've heard that cheap places also include meat with the duck, but this was the first time I encountered such a level of meat with the Beijing duck. As for the taste... it was okay, not great or terrible. Some dishes like XO sauce were flavorful, but desserts were a no-go. The fried rice was decent. The shrimp mayo had a strange hint of spiciness, and the shrimp chili was quite spicy. The drink bar was good value for around 300 yen. They had Chinese tea packets, which was nice. Considering the location in Ginza, the price was reasonable, but I definitely won't be coming back. Without naming names, I have a newfound respect for the quality of the famous buffet restaurants in Yokohama Chinatown. By the way, the staff are mostly Chinese and have difficulty communicating in Japanese, so I hope they improve on that.

The Chinese restaurant in Ginza is quite spacious. I ordered the weekday lunch menu, which included Sichuan-style thinly sliced beef and vegetable dish with Sichuan pepper for 1200 yen, and 2 rolls of Beijing duck for 300 yen. They served cold tea. The Beijing duck is a self-wrap type with a decent amount of duck meat. It's not very juicy, but I think it's good for the price. The Sichuan-style thinly sliced beef and vegetable dish came with dumplings, soup, pickled vegetables, almond jelly, and rice. The dumplings were cold but authentic and meaty. The soup was hot with egg drop and tofu. The main dish was flavorful with Sichuan pepper and tender beef. It wasn't too spicy. The rice was just okay, but I finished everything because the side dishes were good. It seems like they are good at Sichuan-style dishes.

I relied on the reputation of the restaurant for being delicious and cheap, but the lunch menu was all over 1000 yen, not 850 yen as expected. A Chinese female waitress brought the menu but didn't provide enough explanation, so I had to guess and place my order. Customers who ordered expensive dishes were given a napkin for their lap, while those who ordered cheaper dishes were not. The service based on the amount spent made me feel uncomfortable. I wanted to order the mixed seafood and vegetable dish, which was delicious with plenty of shrimp, squid, and vegetables. It also came with a tasty dumpling and a small serving of almond jelly. What bothered me was that the Chinese female staff members chatted loudly among themselves during work, which was distracting and I wished they would stop. The food was good, but I don't think I will visit again.

I visited at night and found that there were many Chinese people around, creating an atmosphere as if I had come to a foreign land. The ordering system involved writing down the numbers from the menu on a piece of paper and handing it to the staff, which was very efficient. The food was served quickly and everything was delicious.

Beijing duck all-you-can-eat + 100 Chinese dishes all-you-can-eat for 3,980 yen. The amount of duck, cucumber, and green onion is not balanced with 2 pieces of skin per serving. The taste is okay. In terms of cost performance, if you mainly order seafood such as shrimp and dumplings that you don't usually eat, it is considered good value. However, for me, who lives with a Chinese wife, my wife's Chinese cuisine and dumplings are tastier (laughs). Therefore, I deducted 0.5 points for that.

I used it for a company farewell party. First of all, it has the best cost performance. All-you-can-eat and drink for 5000 yen. Moreover, each dish is delicious as usual. In addition, you can eat as much Peking duck as you like, which is a generous treat. I felt a slight sense of awe at how kind this restaurant is. We bid farewell to the person leaving at the farewell party, praying for each person's success, and left the restaurant. It was truly a restaurant with the best cost performance. The fact that there was a smoking area in front of the elevator also deserves high praise. It may be a negative for non-smokers, but... Thank you for the meal!

I waited about 5 minutes for the elevator and entered the restaurant. It is recommended to go early during busy times. I enjoyed eating various Chinese dishes at the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink menu. The food was not particularly delicious, but the portion size was a bit small, so you can try a variety of dishes. The all-you-can-drink menu only had bottled beer and a very limited selection. The Peking duck and xiaolongbao were delicious and highly recommended.
