The thick-cut beef tongue was tender and delicious. Recommended. However, the salt was either too light or the sauce was lacking, which was a bit disappointing. I like offal, so I always order the beef intestines, liver, and skirt steak when I eat yakiniku. Unfortunately, they all had a dry texture, possibly because they were frozen meat. It seems like their specialty meats may not be what we prefer. Not only the meat, but the sauces lacked impact. I wanted something with more punch, but the sauces were lacking in flavor. The lemon sauce was just sour, which was a bit disappointing. We ended with a half-size portion of cold noodles. It was a gentle, easy-to-eat cold noodle with a mild dashi flavor and soft noodles.

Charcoal-grilled meat Rokuren @ Hamadayama "Manpuku set meal" tax included 1,400 yen (limited to weekends and holidays). Four kinds of meat platter: grape beef lean, Iwachu pork belly, Wagyu kalbi, and tongue kalbi. All the meat is thick, and the Iwachu pork is tender and deliciously fatty! Comes with salad, namul, extra rice, and soup. Opened on January 4, 2022, this charcoal-grilled meat restaurant, run by a meat wholesaler, seems to be a sister store of the meat feast @ Shiina-cho. PayPay was accepted for payment at the table. The menu stated, "* A separate service charge will be added," but there was no such charge, and in fact, the price was tax-inclusive with a 10% increase. So, I think this price for weekends and holidays is cheap considering the content. It was a bit disappointing that even though the opening time was past 11:30 and the sign outside said "Open," the staff told me, "We are still preparing, sometimes the sign flips over in the wind. Please wait outside." Since the advertised time had passed and the delay was due to the store's convenience, I wished they had shown some consideration and allowed me to sit and wait, even in a less favorable seat. The service after entering the restaurant was polite and there were no issues. When leaving, they chased after me and gave me a piece of candy. Oh, by the way, there was an elderly lady who had just finished playing tennis and ordered the same menu, enjoying a glass of beer. It seemed she had also come by bicycle, but since Kichijoji is 6km away and quite far, I couldn't bring myself to push the bike back, so I refrained. Ah, I really wanted to have a drink!

Highly satisfying yakiniku lunch in a residential area. Visited with my husband on a weekend for lunch. Ordered the "manpuku lunch" set. It came with salad, namul, rice and soup, as well as generous portions of tan kalbi, kalbi, lean meat, and pork belly. We left feeling full and satisfied. Great value for money.

I had the lunch limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The soup was different from miso soup and had a strange taste. The meat was small in size and quantity, with bony parts and overall tough and disappointing quality. The taste was not great, so unfortunately, I don't think I will be coming back.
