I wanted to go to a café in Ikebukuro, so I randomly found a café in a renovated hotel. It had a Japanese-style renovation, so you had to take off your shoes before entering. The café latte and scones were delicious. Since it's on the first floor of the hotel, there were other customers in the shared area.

As I finished eating, I suddenly realized, "Oh, I didn't order the scone pudding!" I ordered it as an addition. The scone pudding arrived in about 5 minutes. Ikebukuro's west exit. I was looking for a nice cafe to kill time before going out for drinks at night and I stumbled upon "Kimidokan", a ryokan with a cafe that seems to cater to inbound tourists. The entrance is the same as the ryokan's. You enter the building through a curtain and take off your shoes to put on slippers at the entrance. If you walk straight ahead, you'll find the front desk for accommodations, and to the right, at the end of the hallway, is the cafe space. You place your order in the room on the right side before the cafe space and pay there. I ordered the homemade rich cheese pudding for 650 yen and today's coffee for 550 yen. After paying, you wait in the cafe space at the end of the hallway. The cafe space is small and cozy. There were foreign tourists and people working on their laptops, maybe doing telework. It might get a bit noisy if someone is on a conference call with their laptop in such a small space, but otherwise, it's a relaxing environment. The cheese pudding was delicious, and currently, it seems like a hidden gem of a cafe.

Today's sweets is "Kimi Natural 73+cafe" in Ikebukuro✨ It's a cafe located on the 1st floor of a ryokan a little away from Ikebukuro Station West Exit☕️ I ordered the Uji matcha Prince Scone Sandwich and the additive-free Meat Miso Tamago Sandwich. The Prince Scone Sandwich has a firm baked scone with a rich and firm matcha pudding sandwiched in between‼️ It's quite innovative and delicious✨ The scone is soaked in caramel sauce, making it tasty when eaten together. The sandwich is also very filling with handmade bread made from natural yeast, free-range eggs, and fresh vegetables packed tightly inside. It was so delicious that I couldn't decide between the sandwich and the scone, so I ended up ordering both and it was a lot of food. It was delicious and the staff were friendly and kind, so I would like to visit again♪ Thank you for the meal☺️

This cafe is located within a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). Food-only orders are not allowed, you must order at least one drink.

Matcha Cheese Pudding ¥680 Matcha Latte ¥600 The matcha cheese pudding is incredibly rich. The matcha scent comes first, followed by the cheese aroma, both fragrances are strong. The pudding is thick and sticky, enhancing the richness. It has a mild sweetness and is delicious. The creamy and light whipped cream on top is also tasty. The caramel is on the sweeter side. The matcha latte is very creamy with lots of milk, no sweetness. As a matcha lover, I prefer a stronger matcha flavor.

I ordered half anko butter toast and namilatte. The bread was soft and the anko butter matched well, it was delicious. The interior of the shop was like a former ryokan, with a Japanese atmosphere. There were also tatami rooms and I saw a few people with children. It was a stylish shop that was unexpectedly trendy for Ikebukuro.

On a regular day, I visited the restaurant right after it opened. I took off my shoes and changed into disposable slippers before entering the shop. It really felt like a traditional inn. I placed my order and paid upfront, and the staff brought it to me. I wasn't very hungry, so I just ordered a sandwich and today's coffee. The sandwich was quite big. There was only one group of customers at a table when I arrived. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. Maybe it was because it was a weekday? The restaurant didn't get full until I left, and it had a calm atmosphere throughout. However, the chairs at the counter were uncomfortable to sit on, and the heating wasn't very effective, so it was a bit cold. I think only the counter seats have power outlets. There was also a person with a baby stroller. I wonder if the private rooms have tatami floors? They seem like a relaxing option. Next time, I want to try the scone sandwich.

It would be lucky if you can use a private room, but on the first floor, the voices of other customers can be quite loud, so it's lucky if everyone is quiet. The cost performance is not great, but the menu is gentle on the body and makes you feel warm. The lunch on holidays was around 2000 yen without drinks. It was a bit cool that day, but on a hot summer day, I might just gulp it down.
