【Yakiniku Nikunomachi/Ueno】■5 minutes walk from Ueno Station■ All-you-can-eat and drink deals■ Courses starting from 3,480 yen including tax■
I went to eat yakiniku in Ueno this time! Nikunomachi, located just a 1-minute walk from Hirokoji-guchi, is a bit before the food and drink district of Ueno. The restaurant was bustling with several groups already there by 8:00 pm! The seating is only table seats, more suitable for multiple people rather than solo yakiniku. Of course, I can go alone too, haha. This time, being alone, I ordered a la carte! Looking back, I should have gone for the all-you-can-eat course at the bottom, but the a la carte options were also good with generous assortments.
What I ordered:
- Negitan Shio (990 yen): The tongue was cut thicker than expected, providing a great chewy texture! I like thick cuts usually, so I was very happy with this. It's refreshing to eat it rolled with green onion and dipped in lemon sauce or salt, making rice go down smoothly! A taste that makes you want more rice!
- Black Wagyu Red Meat Assortment (1,580 yen): I was curious about the black Wagyu, so I indulged in the 3-piece assortment. It also came with shiitake mushrooms! I thought I might not finish it, but I devoured it all, haha. When dining alone, assorted dishes feel truly luxurious.
- Yukkejang Kuppa (780 yen): I was torn between this and white rice, but I wanted to eat Yukkejang Kuppa after a long time, so I ordered it! Despite being 780 yen, it was quite substantial, and if you want to fully enjoy the meat, sharing with another person might be just the right amount. However, the Kuppa goes down smoothly like ochazuke, so no problem there!
From 11:30 to 16:00, there is a menu where you can enjoy dishes like beef kalbi, beef loin, bibimbap, and Yukkejang Kuppa for 1,980 yen! At night, there is also a 3,480 yen course with all-you-can-drink soft drinks, offering exceptional cost performance even in the fiercely competitive yakiniku area! There are also courses without all-you-can-eat and drink, so please use according to the occasion.
