I visited for the first time. It was Friday, so it was full. I had draft beer, kimchi, beef tongue, kalbi, liver - all recommended by the mama-san. They were all delicious and tender. The pig trotter stew I ordered first took some time, but it was incredibly tasty and tender. It had a gochujang flavor, unlike Okinawa's tebichi, and it made me want to come back for more.

Do you ever feel like craving for yakiniku in the middle of the night? It can be difficult to find a place nearby or to go alone. But you can try Monmon Tei. They are open until 2 am, the restaurant is not crowded, and they offer a great deal on a set of three different kinds of horumon for 1350 yen. The restaurant does not have a parking lot, but there is a coin parking nearby. Inside, there are about five table seats. I ordered two sets of the recommended 500 yen menu, which includes tongue, pork kalbi, pork toro, guts, motsu, and nankotsu. It was satisfying in terms of portion size and the taste of each horumon was quite good. I also ordered additional items like upper kalbi, harami, and bibimbap fried rice. The upper kalbi was delicious and melted in the mouth. The harami was average, and the bibimbap fried rice was enough for 1.5 people. Overall, Monmon Tei is a great place to satisfy your late-night yakiniku cravings.

I suddenly felt like eating yakiniku and it was already past 6 pm, so I was debating whether to go to a restaurant that was open at night. I invited my local best friend and we went to Monmon Tei, a yakiniku restaurant located at the nearest intersection to my studio, Kurahara Intersection (East Exit). We ordered Chorogi Salad and Kalbi, which were both delicious. The Harami was also very tasty, especially the regular Harami. I ordered a large portion of rice for 300 yen and was surprised by the huge serving size. The hormone (beef) was sweeter and tastier than the usual beef tongue. I couldn't resist getting seconds of the unique Kobukuro. Although they don't open during the day, I haven't been here in a while, but if the food is this good, I would like to visit this place a few times a month. There seem to be more delicious menu items to try, so I would like to challenge myself to try them all.

I used to not eat much yakiniku, but after going to Monmon-tei, I became a fan of yakiniku! I've been to many famous yakiniku restaurants, but this place is the best! I hope it remains a hidden gem! The limited quantity liver sashimi is a miracle! The hormone meat is exquisite, and the loin and harami are all delicious! It seems to be run by a married couple, and they are very friendly and fun once you get to know them. There are tatami rooms, so it's also good for families with children. They are open until 4 in the morning!

On this day, I embarked on a great expedition and got off at Nishi-Arai Station for the first time in my life! It's about an 8-minute walk from the east exit of Nishi-Arai Station to reach the destination. Now, it's time for some delicious yakiniku after a long time! The menu is neatly handwritten and looks quite impressive. I forgot to take pictures of the other pages, oops! I ordered Asahi Super Dry, which is a rare choice for me. Cheers! I ordered lemon juice, which gives away what I ordered. Kakuteki, one of my favorites, is perfect to accompany the beer. And of course, it tastes delicious! Next up is liver sashimi, another one of my favorites. I chose garlic soy sauce as the dipping sauce, and the fresh liver tastes amazing! I also tried Sazan (Southern) shochu recommended by the mama of the shop, and it was refreshing when mixed with green tea. Tongue with salt was neatly arranged and tasted delicious. I added some scallions with sesame oil, salt, and pepper on top of the tongue, which made it even more delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the finished dish, oh no! Harami, seasoned with salt, was beautifully marbled and tasted great. Geta karubi (medium rib) was also seasoned with salt, and the richness of the meat combined with the salt was mouthwatering. The salad was a refreshing break between bites. The horumon (offal) here is known for its amazing sauce, so I dipped the meat in the sauce and it was tender and delicious. The recommended sauce was indeed fantastic! I had a dish of squid sashimi with a Korean-style sauce, which was a perfect accompaniment to the alcohol. Kimchi fried rice was a satisfying snack. Lastly, I had a soup made from Achilles tendon broth, which was hearty and comforting. It was a long but enjoyable dining experience, and the delicious food made me happy!
