* I will describe the differences in brewing coffee, black tea, and Japanese tea. It's just basic information, but paying attention to these details can make your drinks taste even better. Fresh coffee beans and tea leaves always taste better. For coffee, use fresh water, boil it, let it cool slightly, and warm up the utensils and cups with hot water before use. The key is not to pour until the last drop. For black tea, use freshly boiled water, warm up the tea strainer, teapot, and cup with hot water while waiting for the water to boil. Pour until the last drop. Even with tea bags, warming up the cup makes a difference. It's better to cover the cup while brewing. For Japanese tea, use freshly boiled water, pour it into the utensils in order to warm them up, cool the water down, and finally pour it into the teapot with the tea leaves. It may not be the most polite way, but I find it more efficient than waiting for the water to cool in a spout. Pour until the last drop. Using plenty of tea leaves for a short time extraction makes black tea and Japanese tea taste better. Using fewer tea leaves with a longer extraction time can make the tea taste bitter. Enjoy a relaxing break time at home! ~~~~~~~~~~ Starbucks announced on 5/16 that they will keep their stores in Ibaraki closed as announced on 5/8. They also extended the deadline for drink tickets until the end of August instead of June. I think this is the right decision. The lifting of the state of emergency in 39 prefectures was too early. But it was also lonely. On 5/19, Starbucks announced that they will reopen their stores in Tokyo for takeout only. Stores located in commercial facilities that are closed entirely will remain closed. So, I head out. If they've reopened, I'll go buy the cake I missed out on at the SA because my cooler bag was full. The entrance that passes through the TSUTAYA store on the parking lot side is closed, and only the entrance facing Inokashira Street is open. The social distancing markers are green, and the guard at the register is a hard material, not the flimsy ones seen in supermarkets. I felt the policy of maintaining their brand image. I got the following items (excluding tax): - Strawberry Lemon Tart 480 yen - Teavana Gift Set 1900 yen - Starbucks Card Fireworks 1000 yen I enjoyed them with the coffee that came in a lucky bag from this year's New Year. The tart got a bit messy in the box. The tart crust is filled with strawberry cream, lemon cream, topped with fruit-filled strawberry sauce, and crumble, surrounded by whipped cream. It's a good size for sharing as a dessert after a meal. The Teavana Gift Set includes a glass mug matching the one for Mother's Day and 10 English Breakfast tea bags in a mini bag. I love watermelon, fireworks, and Mt. Fuji, so I couldn't resist getting the card. I hope that the efforts made during the self-restraint period will not be in vain, and I want to continue economic activities without letting my guard down.
