I found a Hokkaido antenna shop on the first floor of a building near the Kaminarimon Gate by chance. It's not very big, but they have a variety of Hokkaido products. From sweets to frozen foods and canned goods, it's fun just to look around. However, I was surprised by the prices, which are quite high. It seems like the transportation costs from Hokkaido are factored in. Some items are even double the price compared to buying them locally. Despite that, I bought some Garana and ice cream and enjoyed them!

This is an antenna shop in Hokkaido, right next to Kaminarimon. Sometimes I peek in to see if there are any hidden gems. The shop has various items like Genghis Khan and Hokkaido souvenirs, but there are too many for just one person. This time, I bought "Hokkaido Yotsuba Butter for 520 yen," which is just right for me. It says it's limited to Hokkaido, but you can buy it in Tokyo. I ate it on bread, and it's slightly richer than regular butter, with a slightly stronger saltiness. Bread will taste even better now. Thank you for the meal.

I tried the salt ramen from Ohtsuk in Ma tsuko's Unknown World. The ramen had simple ingredients with only thin bean sprouts. The saltiness of the soup was a bit stronger than expected, but it was quite delicious.

I had Bell's sauce at home, but I wanted to eat Genghis Khan so I went all the way to Hokkaido. Although it was no longer available at ROX, I heard there was a shop where ISO used to be. I came to buy Matsuo Genghis Khan's special lamb (1150 yen), but also bought unseasoned lamb slices (1450 yen). Tonight, I will have Matsuo Genghis Khan's Genghis Khan hot pot at home, starting with the lamb slices seasoned with truffle salt, and then followed by Matsuo Genghis Khan with vegetables. I am full.

Antenna shop for Hokkaido's seasonal flavors, "Marugoto Hokkaido Senso Monosan Honpo" in Tokyo, offers a wide variety of Hokkaido products all year round. They have around 1,000 different items available, including unique and specialty products. I tried the "Wakasaya Honpo Butter Rich" butter sandwich and the "Hakodate Takada Ikahoru Mon Umashio Dare" squid snack, both of which were delicious. The shop also has restaurants serving crab and Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) dishes, which I would love to try in the future.

This is an antenna shop in Hokkaido. It seems to be open until 8 pm, but when I visited at 7 pm on a weekday, there were no customers and it was quite empty. I came across a candy called "Bonbon" that I had never heard of before. It's a small, granular candy-like snack. When you bite into it, liquid comes out from inside, which seems to be alcohol. So, it's not something you should eat before driving or working. However, I found it quite addictive. It could be a good dessert after drinking. It's all about alcohol with alcohol, and it's surprisingly good.

After visiting the nearby Namiki Yabu Soba restaurant, I wanted to have a light dessert and stumbled upon this place. I decided to stop by because they offer soft serve ice cream made with Hokkaido milk. The interior was more spacious than I expected. They had a variety of sweets like Sanpuroku Baum, Rokkatei Butter Sand, and Royce chocolates, as well as seafood souvenirs. I couldn't resist the rice accompaniments I saw in the store. I ended up buying salted octopus, scallop, and a set of sea urchin, Matsuzaki pickles, and squid salted. We have been loyal to Hokkaido-grown Yumepirika rice for a few years now. It's hard to eat any other rice after trying Yumepirika. So, I decided to splurge on Hokkaido special grade rice and the accompaniments set. Lastly, I bought the soft serve ice cream I originally came for and finished it off. It had a strong milk flavor with just the right amount of creaminess, and it was delicious. Overall, I think this place has a good selection for a Hokkaido specialty store in Tokyo. The soft serve ice cream was tasty, and they had all the classic items you would expect. I would come back again. Rating: 4.0

I don't really understand (^_^;) I've never been to Hakodate. (bitter smile) I just happened to stop by here, and it was cheap so I bought it. It's a good deal for 540 yen (^∇^) 8 packs of butter, 8 packs of cheese, a total of 16 packs, 32 pieces. Yeah. I should probably stop buying souvenirs when I go to Hokkaido next time. ← Hey, Camembert cookies have a strong cheese and salt flavor, more like a biscuit. Personally, I prefer butter cookies (^∇^)

I bought a bag of Rishiri kombu ramen at a Hokkaido specialty store near Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. The noodles are green in color and seem to be kneaded with kombu. It has a salty taste but the umami of kombu is strong. It also comes with grated kombu, adding even more kombu flavor. Other ingredients were prepared by Machan from the nearby supermarket. They also sell various Hokkaido specialties, which was enjoyable. I should have taken a picture of the package as well.

Melon soft serve ice cream is unique, but delicious. I usually prefer vanilla, but my wife likes flavored ones. When we come here, she always gets the melon soft serve. I tried a bite and it was really tasty. But I think I still prefer vanilla.

I ran out of butter so I came to buy some more. This time, I chose fermented butter. It has a richer and deeper flavor compared to what I bought last time. I prefer this one.

I went to a soba restaurant that I frequent after hearing that they sell Hokkaido's Bel sauce. The selection there was quite impressive. Although I'm not familiar with Hokkaido products, I was intrigued by the Hokkaido-exclusive Honkon yakisoba and yakippe that I had researched online, and they had a mountain of them in stock. I enthusiastically went shopping and ended up buying a lot - from Nagano Jingisukan to the aforementioned yakisoba. I also got ramen noodles from Nishiyama Seimen with separate soup, as well as delicious-looking wieners. In total, I spent over 10,000 yen. The yakippe, which is said to be tastier than Sapporo Ichiban's bag yakisoba, was purchased in both regular (10 packs) and spicy (10 packs) varieties. I tried the spicy one earlier and indeed, it was delicious. I'm not a fan of artificial seasonings, but instant noodles are an exception. By the way, the soft serve ice cream (not too vanilla-heavy) is probably one of the best in Tokyo. The lady at the register was beautiful and very friendly, so no complaints there. I bought too much yakisoba and ended up forgetting the Bel sauce. I feel like I still have a lot to learn. I will definitely visit again.

It's a Hokkaido antenna shop located on the way from Kaminarimon to Asakusa Street. I usually enter out of curiosity without any specific purpose, but end up buying something. This time, I bought a melon-flavored Black Thunder chocolate that caught my eye. And since Hokkaido is known for its milk, I casually picked up a small triangular pack of milk. It was truly an impulse buy. The melon-flavored Black Thunder had freeze-dried melon inside, giving it a real melon taste. The milk, supposedly from Shimamaki Village, had a surprisingly light flavor but was delicious. It's always fun to visit antenna shops, isn't it? This shop might just be the first step towards visiting all 47 prefectural antenna shops...(^◇^;)

In the evening of my day off, I visited Marugoto Hokkaido Bussan Honpo Raikamon-ten to get a souvenir for a friend who stayed at my house. This shop offers a variety of products from snacks to frozen Hokkaido meats. My friend chose the Hokkaido Onion Soup, which was delicious and I agreed. Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it as my friend really liked it. When it runs out, I plan to visit the shop again. Thank you for the meal.

On February 18, 2018 (Sunday), we continued our food adventure from Asakusa to Kameido, visiting the fourth restaurant. After trying dorayaki and zenzai, we decided to head to Kameido to visit a bento shop. As we were walking towards the parking lot, my older brother suddenly spotted a shop with the phrase "All of Hokkaido..." written on it. Unable to resist, we all naturally entered the shop. We each wandered around the shop and then gathered to purchase various items including White Black Thunder (¥480), Soft Cheese Scallop (¥680), Snow Melt Cheese Cake (¥1400), Melon Roll Shimakawa (¥360), Black Thunder (¥480), Yakisoba Bento with Grilled Corn Soy Sauce Flavor (¥195), Scallop Seaweed (¥648), Kappa Ebisen Wasabi Flavor (¥154). We also bought a Baumkuchen called "Black Lover" to enjoy. It was delicious, but lacked a strong black bean flavor. I wish it was a bit more moist. Next time, I'll try to buy more unique and rare delicacies instead of sweets. Thank you for the meal! 😊

I'm in Asakusa! I stopped by the Hokkaido antenna shop to kill some time. As I was browsing the shelves, I felt someone staring at me from below... It was a figure of an ascetic from Ashoro! After checking out the products, I went back and made my purchase. I bought a bag of JA Ashoro products for 324 yen, as well as other items like Wasabi Squid Fry for 130 yen, Small Castella Cake for 160 yen, and Peanut Candy for 154 yen. I'm curious about the Rawanbuki from Atsuma (is it Matsuyama Haru?) and plan to cook it with other ingredients. The Wasabi Squid Fry is just like a snack, the Small Castella Cake reminds me of the round castella I used to eat as a child, and the Peanut Candy is like a warm treat with a candy-coated senbei. I can't wait for the warm season to come so I can visit Hokkaido again. I want to see the big things there!

After finishing a late lunch, I entered this antenna shop that caught my attention. I thought they would have Rokkatei, butter cream sandwiches, or Royce products, but they had a variety of other Hokkaido products. They also had a wide selection of retort curry. I spent some time looking around the store. The new girl at the register seemed a bit inexperienced in customer service. I ordered an ice cream for 350 yen. The flavors available were vanilla, Yubari melon, and mix. It's not very cold today, but I realized it's already December. I enjoyed the ice cream, which had a rich milk aroma typical of Hokkaido. It was midday on a weekday, and the staff seemed bored, so if you get the chance, please visit and give them some business. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, I had some errands in Asakusa. Since I was already there, I decided to peek into this Hokkaido specialty store located on the right side of the street that stretches from Kaminarimon to the west end of Komagatabashi Bridge. This store is operated by Marugoto Hokkaido, a subsidiary of Global Vision Co., Ltd. in Asakusa. Unlike Daimaru Matsuzakaya's Dosanko Market in Yurakucho or the Foodist in Yaesu Chikagai operated by a former subsidiary of Hokkaido Electric Power, this store has a less direct connection to Hokkaido. However, I wanted to see if they had items that are not found in Dosanko Market or Foodist. That's why I decided to take a look.
My new discovery this time was Maruchan's instant yakisoba in a bag. I have seen Maruchan's "yakisoba bento" and its derivative product "yakisoba bento fried rice seasoning," which are said to be Hokkaido people's soul food, but this was my first time seeing instant yakisoba in a bag. It was interesting, so I bought the regular sauce-flavored "yakippe" and the spicy "karappe." I also bought the collaboration product of Yotsuba Dairy and Ebetsu Seifun, the buttermilk pancake mix. The yakisoba I ate at home was nostalgic and delicious. The "karappe" wasn't too spicy, but it had a nice kick to it.
Since the appearance of Peyang and UFO, my opportunities to eat bagged yakisoba have significantly decreased, but I prefer the bagged yakisoba that you stir-fry to make. When I checked the manufacturing code on the bag, it was labeled as M2 (Otaru Factory). I wonder why Maruchan's instant yakisoba (including cups) is such a major presence only in Hokkaido. It seems that it all started when migrant workers to the US brought it back as souvenirs, and Maruchan's cup noodles now hold a 90% market share. It has even become a slang term meaning "Maruchan can do it quickly and easily," similar to Mexico. That's a random connection between Mexico and Hokkaido.
