I always passed by on my way to Adachi Health Center, but this time I gathered up the courage to go in and buy some bread. The first thing that caught my eye was the Tamago Dock. It was filled with plenty of eggs and I was very satisfied. I could taste a hint of margarine. Then I also bought the Ogura Anpan. It was packed with red bean paste and had just the right amount of sweetness. I prefer the smooth red bean paste. The lady at the shop seemed very kind.

On this day, I had some business in Kameari. On the way, I wandered around the left bank of the Arakawa River, around Adachi Ward. I stopped by Sun Berugo near Umejima Station, then passed through the still under construction Koshu Nan-dori towards Ayase. Along the way, I stopped by SHINA here. The shop is located along Koshu Nan-dori, but it's not very well maintained, almost like an extension of the construction site, so it might not be easy to pass by. It's located in a residential area, a bit off the beaten path, about a 10-minute walk from Gotanno Station. MEMO Sesame Roll (Okinawa Purple Sweet Potato Anko = 155 yen) ... The firm and elastic dough is generously kneaded with sesame seeds. The purple sweet potato anko is sticky and rich, with a strong purple sweet potato flavor and a generous amount. Sake Kasu Cream Pan (140 yen) ... I accidentally flattened the photo, but the glove-shaped cream pan feels soft and fluffy. It's recommended with homemade custard cream. The cream is like a rich egg pudding, and there's plenty of it, which is nice. While the sake kasu flavor is not as strong as Kimuraya, there's a slight hint of sake kasu. Egg Dog (175 yen) ... The egg salad is rich in mayonnaise and overflows in the cut of the coppe bread, giving a voluminous feeling. The bread has a relatively light brown color, but the taste and aroma of the dough are good. MEMO The shop has a variety of bread like a local bakery, offering a rich variety to enjoy. The cream pan I bought was the same, with sake kasu bread available, as well as about five types of cream filling for the cornet. The apple cream cornet must be delicious. Well, when heading towards Kameari, you usually take the Ebikita Bridge Street, but Koshu Nan-dori also has a decent shopping street. It's nice to take a different route occasionally, so I headed towards Ayase and Kameari.

I discovered this bakery in a residential area aiming for the intersection of Kandai Route 7 and Route 4. The British bread is simple with a distinct wheaty aroma. The red bean bread is not too sweet. However, the croissant was not to my liking. I am not confident that I would go back even on a wider street.

About a 10-minute walk from Gofunoya Station, in a quiet residential area, there is a bakery that gives more of a local bakery vibe than a traditional French bakery. The name of the bakery, SHINA, comes from the nickname of the owner, Mr. Shinagawa. It is said that he trained at Domel in Asakusabashi, although I have never been there. One of the recommended items was the Goma An Pan, a bread filled with plenty of sesame bean paste. It has a strong sesame flavor and a generous amount of sweet bean paste, with sesame kneaded into the bread dough as well. The combination of sesame and sweet bean paste is really good. Another recommended item was the Shio Mame An, a bread with a mix of sweet bean paste and salted soybeans. The sweetness of the bean paste and the saltiness of the soybeans complement each other well. It's like how adding salt to watermelon enhances its sweetness. Lastly, the Cream Pan was made with a generous amount of homemade custard cream. The nostalgic and rich cream filling is just right in sweetness and very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In the afternoon, I came across a bakery while taking a walk. They sell huge bread at incredibly low prices. I would definitely come back if it were closer. Their egg bread is especially good. The burdock bread is also very juicy.

It feels like a bakery on the street, and I use it occasionally. The bread is very delicious and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. They have more soft bread than hard bread, but they are made with care and taste great. I especially love their egg sandwiches that are filled to the brim. Their homemade tasting bread is delicious all the way to the crust, and I always end up eating it all in one go. The prices are handwritten, and it's not a trendy and stylish bakery, but they have a good variety of delicious bread that is convenient to use daily. It's a favorite shop of mine, and I hope they continue to do well.

[Visit in October 2017] It had been a while since my last visit. I happened to pass by the front of the shop and saw a blackboard with this month's recommended bread, which was a sourdough bread. [Sourdough bread with figs and walnuts] This sourdough bread had a soft texture and no sourness or strong flavor, making it very easy to eat. The figs and walnuts were well balanced and you could tell that the bread was made with care. [Anpan with sake lees] This is one of my favorite breads from this shop. I really like the aroma of the sake lees in the dough. [Cinnamon bread] This bread was also recommended on the blackboard. The cinnamon and glaze on top had a balanced flavor, not too strong or too sweet, making it very easy to eat. I enjoyed my meal once again. Thank you.

I wanted to eat the chewy and rustic walnut bread with a strong pull here, so I revisited. The texture is still bouncy, and the taste is deep and easy to eat, perfect for everyday use. The cheese kuppe has plenty of cheese inside the French bread dough, which is a delight for cheese lovers. I bought a sandwich set with potato salad and cabbage & cucumber. The potato salad has a unique sweet and salty taste, while the cabbage & cucumber is refreshing and tasty, although the cabbage tends to fall out making it a bit difficult to eat. Personally, I find the potato salad sandwich a bit heavy, so mixing it with the cabbage & cucumber sandwich might create a more enjoyable taste. I'll try that next time. The recommended minced meat keema curry bread on this day has a light and easy-to-eat dough with a mild and easy-to-eat keema curry combination. It certainly has a gentle taste that seems to be well-received by everyone. I also bought the cookies that I've been curious about. There are two types, plain and almond-topped. Hmm, these are not quite to my taste. They have a homemade taste, and while the gentle feeling comes through, the powdery smell bothers me and they feel a bit dry like scones. It's just a matter of personal preference, but if you're looking for a sweet taste at this shop, I would recommend the sake-based bread. Thank you for the meal.

[June 2017 Revisit] I am revisiting this place not long after my last visit. As a fan of sake yeast, I was delighted to find my favorite sake yeast anpan being sold at such a casual price point and so close by, which made me want to come back for more. The bread here is really affordable, with most items priced in the 100 yen range. It's likely due to the location, but it's great to have handmade bread that is body-friendly and free from mass-produced preservatives and additives for everyday use. [Sake Yeast Anpan] The dough still has a fragrant aroma and the sweet red bean paste is generously filled. [Round Bread Maple] I was surprised to find round bread being sold here, with two flavors available - chocolate and maple. I purchased the half-size maple bread on this day. The dough is Danish-style with a fairly firm texture. The maple filling is moist. While it's a matter of personal preference, I think I prefer round bread with a softer crumb than Danish dough. [Onion Cheese Bread] I forgot the official name, but it was something like that. The soft dough is loaded with onions, cheese, and mayonnaise, making it a very satisfying meal bread. With this volume for just over 100 yen, it's really convenient for everyday use. [Anko Whip] I forgot the official name but it was probably something like that (laughs). The dough, like the anpan, seemed to use sake yeast. Inside, there is plenty of red bean paste and whipped cream. It was a very luxurious feeling snack bread. Thank you for the meal.

I love bread, but surprisingly I always put off visiting the local bakery. I recently discovered a bakery that I had been putting off for 5 years. There used to be a bakery called "Dormel" in Asakusabashi, known for its popular sandwiches. The bakery was absorbed by San Merry and the name "Dormel" disappeared. The current bakery is run by someone who trained at Dormel and is said to have faithfully inherited the taste of Dormel. I tried their sandwiches and found the egg sandwich to be familiar, while the potato salad sandwich had a unique flavor that reminded me of Dormel. I also tried a salted bean paste bun, a black oolong tea cake, and a walnut rustic bread, all recommended by the shop. The walnut bread was my favorite, with a moist and chewy texture. I also tried a sake yeast red bean bun, which I was happy to find in the neighborhood. Overall, the bakery has a wide range of items, but there are some hits and misses. I look forward to trying more of their items in the future.

The red roof serves as a landmark for this bakery that specializes in bread baked in a lava kiln near Mount Fuji. The owner trained at Döml Bakery in Asakusabashi for 10 years before opening this shop in March 2007. The egg and additive-free potato salad sandwich is filled to the brim and incredibly delicious. Unlike convenience store sandwiches, these are made without any additives, so you can enjoy them with peace of mind. The white bread and English bread are soft and delicious. This bakery shows a strong commitment to quality. Don't miss out on trying the homemade hamburger sandwich, which showcases the owner's meticulous work.

- Ordered items: Grape bread, sesame bread - Food: There is hardly any information on Tabelog, so I entered with mixed feelings. When I entered the store, there was a nice smell of bread, so I had some expectations. However, the two breads I purchased were below average. They didn't have a particularly strong wheat aroma. The store had scattered POPs, which was a bit concerning. They also sell potato salad made without additives. - Atmosphere: The service was honestly not very pleasant. It would be nice if it had a more lively and inviting atmosphere typical of a local bakery. It left me slightly disappointed. - Ingredients: They use Nisshin Flour's strong flour Eagle and Pelican.
