"Kawatei" in Shibetsu, there were two of us. I preferred a different town last time, but my wife wanted to go back after a long time. So, I had to give up on ramen. If I haven't been there, it has to be either Yamagokaya or Sanpachi. I will never go to any other place. For lunch, my wife always gets to decide. Since I have not been to the restaurant, she picks from the ones I haven't tried before. But to be honest, there aren't many great options in this town. I remembered a trattoria that I tried before but was closed, so we went there. However, it was full, and we were turned away. The next customer didn't even come out after entering. I don't know what was going on. Eventually, we managed to get in at the opening time, but it was packed. It was a popular place, I guess. My wife initially said it was an izakaya for lunch, but it turned out to be a Western-style restaurant. When we arrived, it was just a family restaurant. When I mentioned we were two people, they showed us to a table. There were a few other customers as well. A young woman looked confused, so she went to ask the woman in charge. The woman in charge asked if we were okay with it taking a bit longer, and then seated us. That was the right way to do it. Although our expectations were not high, the food came in just 10 minutes. They were efficient. This way, there was no need to say "Hurry up." I wonder if the woman in charge was the owner's daughter. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to handle it so well. The ramen looked like Kushiro ramen. The noodles were normal thickness curly noodles with good flavor. The green onions were roughly chopped, the bamboo shoots were seasoned, and the chashu was ordinary but might not be homemade. The seaweed was cheap. The soup was sweet, which was forgivable. If it were salty, it wouldn't have been acceptable. It was light and old-fashioned. It was a ramen that relied on soup stock, but it was better than Kushiro ramen, so I could eat it. There are many similar ramen shops in Kushiro and Nemuro, so the cost performance was not great. As for the mapo tofu, it was very expensive for me, although my wife didn't seem to mind. My wife accidentally dropped the spoon for the mapo tofu on the floor. Although it was entirely her fault, it was right in front of the cash register, so she should have noticed it. But she didn't seem to care. I am small, and my wife is infinitely large, so the size of a person is hard to determine. Well, whenever you want to come back, I'll be here to welcome you!"
