I prefer smooth-textured tuna, but Engisushi tends to be a bit sticky and I wasn't a fan, but today's ingredients were just to my liking♡ Thanks to Seki-san for understanding and serving me the smooth-textured one! They always bring out the tamagoyaki that I always order before I even ask, which is a thoughtful gesture! As expected, it was a wonderful meal, thank you✨️

I love this restaurant so much! It was crowded as usual today. I always end up ordering various kinds of sushi rolls like ikura, negitoro, fatty tuna, and kampyo. And their sweet potato shochu highball is a must-have for me. I always ask for it to be extra strong. Usually, I come here with just a few people, but today we had a larger group, and we were all a bit tipsy. I'll definitely be back again! Thank you for the delicious meal! ✨️

Tokyo Ueno gourmet! Located near Ueno Hirokoji and Yushima, the spacious restaurant was almost fully booked! Used for a business dinner! Ordered a bottle of Akakiri Island, a bottle of barley shochu, a bottle of red wine, as well as beer and sake! The variety of dishes was plentiful and reasonably priced, including assorted sashimi, water eggplant with ankimo and ponzu sauce, sea urchin sashimi, fresh oysters, hole cucumber rolls, ikura cucumber rolls, toro taku rolls, edamame, etc. The sea urchin, which was the last one left, was rich and the fish was fresh and delicious! Personally, I wish the variety of alcohol was a bit more extensive, as I would like to stop by again if it were.

The final stop of the day was at a sushi restaurant. I couldn't resist ordering the Hosomaki rolls, especially the one with sweet potato. I always enjoy my ocha with a strong flavor. Second Eizushi is great because they are always accommodating. It's nice to have a regular spot where you might run into familiar faces but also have the chance to meet new people. I was so full that I could only manage to eat two kinds of rolls - my usual Negitoro with shiso and a new one with ikura and cucumber on top. I'll have to try more next time at the second restaurant I plan to visit. Another delicious meal today! Thank you!

Today, I visited a sushi restaurant, "Kaisen Ryori Daini Eizushi Ueno," for the first time in a long time. Despite more than 10 years passing, the taste and atmosphere remained unchanged, and I immediately felt at home. I decided to skip my favorite kanpyo maki this time, but everything was delicious. I visited again! I was so drunk that I don't remember anything haha. I took a photo, so I'll upload it. Whenever I come here, I always order the negitoro roll, ikura roll, natto roll, and kanpyo roll... all rolls haha. And I always get chawanmushi too! I order a green tea shochu highball with extra green tea here, they adjust the green tea to your liking so the highball is delicious! The staff are all really nice, I love this place♡ I usually sit at the counter, but today I sat in the tatami room for the first time. The tatami room is nice too. It was delicious! I often visit this restaurant. They have tatami seating, tables, and a counter. I recommend the tatami seating for groups, even though it can make your legs tired. The snacks and sushi are cheap and delicious. Some items may seem a bit expensive. I think the 2500 yen for the bakudan is high. But it's a good sushi restaurant that is perfect for drinking. I will definitely go back again.

Yuran and his group, who had just eaten yakiniku at the first place, weren't very hungry so they decided to have a light drink and buy some sushi as a souvenir on their way back. It was a Sunday night after 8 pm, and the place was quite crowded, with some cherry blossom viewers and group tours around. The restaurant was bustling with activity, which was nice to see. They were seated at a table and ordered a sashimi platter with horse mackerel, sardine, and Pacific saury. While all the sashimi was tasty, it didn't seem very fresh. They felt that a bit more ginger would have been nice. They also had some Japanese sake, choosing from a limited selection of brands. The place felt more like a sushi izakaya rather than a traditional sushi restaurant, so they decided to try a different place next time for more variety. With the sake lifting their spirits, Yuran entertained everyone with his impersonation of Takashi Okamura. And that was how the night went for Yuran and his group.

I always love this shop because they treat me well! It was quite crowded this weekend, but that's no surprise. I hadn't eaten sushi in a while, but it was still delicious. The ikura hosomaki and negitoro hosomaki were the best! The kamatoro was also amazing with its flavorful oil. The sweet potato shochu highball was strong and delicious! I will definitely visit again!

Special nigiri for 1650 yen. Visited around noon on New Year's Day. The restaurant has a counter with 12 seats, as well as 4-person tables near the entrance and in the back. About 20% of the seats were already occupied. They offer a variety of nigiri ranging from 150 yen to 400 yen, as well as sashimi, grilled dishes, and fried foods. I ordered the special nigiri. It was served in about 7-8 minutes. The set included 8 pieces of nigiri, 2 gunkan sushi, 3 rolls, and miso soup with seaweed. The nigiri consisted of medium fatty tuna, sea bream, tuna, squid, salmon, scallop, raw shrimp, and egg, while the gunkan sushi was negitoro and salmon roe. The rolls were tuna and cucumber. Everything was fresh and delicious. The salmon had a nice texture and the raw shrimp was sweet and tasty.

This time of year, the tuna here is just amazing! It's been really crowded lately, so reservations are a must! They're open year-round, no breaks at lunch! You can even drink in the afternoon, it's the best! Today was our last day of work, so we came early and it was packed - good thing we made a reservation! The staff, whether it's the big brother, dad, or grandpa, are all so nice. Even though mom wasn't there today, it's such a cozy sushi restaurant! Definitely sit at the counter! If you ask about the freshness of the fish, you can't go wrong! They'll even tell you if something isn't good today, haha. We'll be back in the new year. Have a great year!

Day drinking! I visited this place for the first time, although I have frequented the Kita-Senju branch in the past. I was quite hungry so I completely forgot to take photos (laughs). The quality of the sushi was good for the price, as expected. However, the menu was a bit hard to read... it was even more difficult compared to the Kita-Senju branch (laughs). Cost performance: good, Service: good (the young foreign staff were polite), Likely to revisit: yes, but I also want to try the Ueno branch, so it might be a while before I come back here.

Holiday. I wandered around looking for something to eat for lunch and stumbled upon this place. I entered and sat at the counter seats. The floor staff brought me a wet towel, so I tried to order a beer, but was told to order from the chef, so I tried to order from the chef, but was told to wait a bit. The restaurant was about half full of customers. There were 3 chefs in the kitchen and 2 staff on the floor. After waiting for about 5 minutes, they asked me what I wanted to drink, so I ordered a beer. When the opportunity finally came, I ordered the premium selection. When it arrived, my beer was finished, so I ordered a green tea highball. I tried the food and the red shrimp, medium fatty tuna, and salmon roe were all delicious. I ordered something else later, but what I ordered and what came out were clearly different, but they were busy so I just ate it without saying anything. I think I added a green tea highball at some point. The bill came out to a little over 4000 yen. If I have the chance, I would like to go eat there again.

I love the fact that they are open late, and I always order the Engawa because I love it. It has a nice creamy texture. It was a shame they didn't have sea urchin that day. The natto rolls were delicious too. I would love to go back if I get hungry late at night.

Located about 5 minutes from the Ueno Hirokoji intersection. There are many izakayas and sushi restaurants in the area, with several affiliated stores nearby. This was my first visit as my usual spot in Ueno is undergoing renovations. The exterior looks like an izakaya, but the interior has a sushi restaurant vibe, which was reassuring. The seating was spacious and comfortable, with a large counter and tables for four. I started with a small bottle of beer (Sapporo, 550 yen excluding tax) and a small appetizer (200 yen excluding tax). The cold simmered tuna appetizer was delicious. The mackerel nigiri (2 pieces, 400 yen) was incredibly fatty and tasty. The horse mackerel (2 pieces, 300 yen) was thick and flavorful. The lean tuna (2 pieces, 300 yen) was good as well. Unfortunately, many of the recommended dishes were sold out, so I settled for a steamed egg custard (400 yen) and a swordfish nigiri (2 pieces, 400 yen). The swordfish was better when seared. The red clam and cucumber roll (350 yen) had a nice texture and flavor. I couldn't try more dishes due to the sold-out items, so I stuck with beer for the rest of the meal. The restaurant had a spacious interior with one female-only restroom, one unisex restroom, and two urinals for men. When I asked about the operating hours, I was told they open at 11 am and close at 4 am the next day. I wonder if they still have items available late at night.
