The tonkatsu restaurant on the first floor of eat play works. Many restaurants had a lunch last order at 2pm, but this one allowed us to dine until 3pm. I had the top loin cutlet set for lunch and it was a hit! It was juicy, filling, and very delicious. They also kindly taught me the recommended way to eat it. If you're looking for even more juiciness, the rib loin cutlet is recommended. eat play works has a variety of different restaurants, creating a stylish alley-like atmosphere. There are small counter seats clustered together, and there is also seating space where you can bring in dishes from different stores. It seems like a fun place to drink at night.

In a stylish food court, there is a corner with a nostalgic feel serving a regular pork cutlet dish with a name like "Southern Island Pork." The meat is fried with fine bread crumbs, and the first bite reveals a juicy and flavorful redness. It's not easy to drink the meat juice that stands out so much, maybe it's not dripped? The first impression after the first bite is honestly a bit tough, but from the second bite onwards, it becomes firm and easy to chew. Although it's hard to distinguish the characteristics of the brand pork, the pork soup has a strong and delicious broth flavor.

Source Katsu Don 1290 yen PAYPAY payment (I had to get closer to the entrance because the signal was weak) I visited before 2 pm on a weekday. Blue Bottle is located in a long, narrow storefront in the back of a food court-like area, with only a counter for this katsu restaurant. I was the only customer. (Later, I heard from a senior in Hiroo that it gets very crowded on weekends and it's hard to get in.) The master and two male staff members were warm and we had a fun conversation about tourist spots. The salad had organic carrot dressing, and the katsu was fried right in front of me. The miso soup that came with it was also delicious with plenty of ingredients. The prices are on the higher side due to the Hiroo location, but the freshly fried food was delicious, and I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

"Rosukatsu set meal ¥2,350. The breading is thin, but made of fine bread crumbs so it lacks that crispy texture. The side on the plate was particularly moist. The miso soup tasted like homemade miso soup. The potato salad had a supermarket feel to it. I wonder if there are people who like this kind of tonkatsu. Maybe it's just a matter of preference. At 2,350 yen, it was just okay. The best part was probably the pickles."

It was the second stop of the night, so I was already a little full. But I couldn't resist because I love tonkatsu. This restaurant is affiliated with another one, so when I mentioned it was my second stop, they said we could share a set meal for two. It came with pickles and miso soup too. We shared it as a snack with our drinks. The highball was cold and went well with the tonkatsu. A place where you can enjoy delicious, melt-in-your-mouth tonkatsu for your second stop. Highly recommended!

I had always been curious about Tonkatsu Hitomi. They seem to only have one menu option for the pork fillet. I tried the Super Premium Fillet Cutlet Set for 2,580 yen. I prefer to have the same sauce on my cabbage as on the tonkatsu, so I wish the cabbage didn't have dressing on it. Thank you for the meal! ✨

Today I visited Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi. Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi is a tonkatsu restaurant located in Hiroo, Minato-ku, Tokyo. It was founded by the head chef of Ginza Katsukami and is located on the 1st floor of Hiroo's Eat Place. It is the only tonkatsu restaurant in the neighborhood with a good reputation, so I decided to visit. Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi serves pork from the southern island of Kagoshima, which is a well-known brand used in famous tonkatsu restaurants. This time, I had the special rib loin cutlet. Considering the price of 2800 yen for the Rib Loin Cutlet set meal made with southern island pork, it is not expensive for a premium brand like southern island pork. However, the meat was firm and lacked juiciness, giving me a different impression from what I personally know as southern island pork. It made me realize that there can be different types of southern island pork. Thank you for the meal.

It's spring in Hiroo, where cherry blossoms are in full bloom. This town is known for being one of Japan's most upscale neighborhoods. Stylish people can be seen walking around near the station. Close by is the Keio Kindergarten. It seems to be dismissal time, as many children with backpacks bearing the school's emblem are seen. This time, I visited Hitomi-san, a tonkatsu restaurant. I was excited to try their famous sauce katsu-don. However, the restaurant was hard to find at first. It is located inside a building with multiple eateries, making it confusing to locate. After some back and forth, I finally found the place. I ordered the sauce katsu-don as planned. While there were other tempting dishes on the menu, the prices were a bit steep for a commoner like me. When the dish arrived, I took a bite and found the meat to be tough. I'm not sure if it was the type of meat or if it was overcooked, but it didn't quite suit my taste. The portion size was also on the smaller side for a man. In terms of cost-effectiveness, I would give it a mediocre rating. Considering the area, I thought quality would be prioritized over quantity, but I was slightly disappointed. However, looking at the reviews for other, pricier items and for dinner, the restaurant seems to be highly rated. I will try a different dish next time. Thank you for the meal.

On Sunday at 1:00 PM, the restaurant was 80% full. They offer Aomori apple juice for 480 yen and Miyazaki brand pork loin set meal for 2500 yen. The pork is from a crossbreed of Agu pig, cooked by frying and then slowly grilling for over 5 minutes. The breadcrumbs are fine and the meat is tender with good quality fat. The portion size is a bit small for the price, but the taste is worth it. The restaurant operates on a cashless system and the service is at a food court level.

I made a reservation based on a friend's request to meet up after a long time. The restaurant is located in a trendy food court-like setting, which may be a bit hard to find, but the interior has calm counter seats. After giving my name, I was seated. I looked at the menu and ordered the loin set meal, a pork fillet dish, and macaroni salad. My friend ordered the premium loin set meal. The salad came first, followed by the pork cutlet. We enjoyed our meal while chatting, and finished everything. Overall, the quality was very high and everything tasted delicious. I think it's a good place to visit once in a while.

I made a reservation and went to eat at Kin'ya at night. There were always about 3 groups of customers. All the restaurants in the same area of this commercial facility (eat play works) had a few customers. Maybe it was the time of day? I had a plate of rib roast with vegetables, ham cutlet, and a glass of Chardonnay. The rib roast was incredibly delicious with its rich fat. I also bought a takeout tonkatsu sandwich on my way out. Looking forward to it!

I started a gourmet website for Mitomi Emon. Homepage "https://blog.33inc.jp/" Instagram "@mitomi_emon" New facility in Hiroo, "EAT PLAY WORKS". Literally a fusion facility where you can eat, play, and work. It opened in 2020 and was buzzing on many people's SNS at the time. Mitomi Emon, who is not good at following trends, finally made his first visit. The restaurant features unique outlets, such as famous sushi restaurants and casual French brands. The restaurant floor is styled like a back alley. I visited "Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi," one of them. Junichi Hinata, who produces it, was responsible for launching "Tonkatsu Hinata" in Takadanobaba and "Ginza Katsukami" in Ginza. Both places elevated tonkatsu to course cuisine, so he must be someone who is proactive in new challenges. The top loin cutlet set costs 2,500 yen. The fry is beautifully done, and the presentation is stylish. The texture is firm with a rich umami flavor that slowly emerges. The pork used is premium Nan no Shima pork. Additionally, the plentiful red miso soup with mushrooms and pickles are also carefully made with attention to detail. Thank you for the meal.

Located within eatplayworks, this tonkatsu restaurant with a counter is easy to visit even for solo diners. The pork fillet cutlet was refreshing yet flavorful, and very delicious. It has a firm texture, so it may not be suitable for those who prefer softer meat, but the taste of the pork was clean and enjoyable.

I had lunch at a restaurant building. I'm not really an expert on tonkatsu, but I think it's a dish where people who like it compare and talk about it like ramen. I entered a slightly upscale restaurant and sat at the counter. First, cabbage and pickles were served. This is also good. I waited for the meat to fry. The tonkatsu and menchi-katsu were quite refined, bringing out the flavor of the meat properly and not losing to eating it with salt. The downside is that the portion is modest and it's a bit difficult to dip the sauce with the small dish. The rice was good too, and although it wasn't shown in the photo, the miso soup (was it tonjiru?) was delicious as well. Overall, the quality was high.

I missed lunch and was really hungry. I had a craving for tonkatsu, so I went to a restaurant before the dinner rush, around 6pm. I was the first customer and ordered a loin cutlet set without any alcohol. The meat was juicy and cooked just how I like it. The restaurant had a bar counter setup, so I quickly ate my meal and left.

Today I visited Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi. Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi is a tonkatsu restaurant located in Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It was founded by the first head chef of Ginza Katsukami, Mr. Hiyuga. It has been featured in eat play works and this was my second visit. Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi offers the best Okinawan pork in the tonkatsu brand. This time, I ordered the Okinawan pork loin for lunch. The appearance of the loin cutlet is characteristic of Hiroo Tonkatsu Hitomi, with a very fine coating. Many other restaurants have a coarser coating, so this is unique. The fatty part is sweet and goes well with the salt. The meat is tender and the sauce complements it well, truly a dish worthy of Okinawan pork. The price of 2300 yen for Okinawan pork is excellent. Thank you for the meal.

I went to meet a colleague at a restaurant in Hiroo, which turned out to be quite expensive. Despite the high prices, we ordered the second most expensive pork cutlet set and enjoyed some beer. The pork cutlet was delicious, made from premium pork called "Nan no Shima Buta." However, the beer was overpriced, with small bottles costing 680 yen each. In the end, the meal cost us 7,720 yen.

Located on the first floor of 'EAT PLAY WORKS', just a stone's throw away from Hiroo Station. I sat at the counter seat, which is easy for solo diners. I ordered the 180g pork cutlet for 2890 yen, served with shredded cabbage and carrot dressing, pickled Chinese cabbage and turnip, miso soup, and rice. You can choose between sauce or salt for the pork cutlet. They use a combination of Agu and Duroc pork called "Southern Island Pork". The meat was tender, moist, and subtly flavored. The fat was sweet and juicy, but there were some chewy parts near the fat-meat junction that were a bit unpleasant. The breading was thin, crispy, and well-attached to the meat, giving it a unique taste. The rice was chewy and delicious! The only downside was that the miso soup was lukewarm.

Visited around 12:00 on a holiday. This restaurant is located in an area where various dining establishments are gathered, similar to an alley. I sat at the counter and ordered the shoulder loin. The shoulder loin that was brought to me was much thinner and tougher than what I'm used to. It felt like eating a deluxe version of a Big Cutlet. It was a disappointing impression for the price I paid.

Tonkatsu Hitomi in Hiroo. I visited for lunch and came to EAT PLAY WORKS near the station again. This was my first visit to Hitomi on the first floor here. The pork used here is a crossbreed of Agu pork and Red pork from Okinawa's southern island. I ordered the Everyday Katsu set meal for 1290 yen, which is a weekday lunch limited menu. The meat used that day was from the inner and outer thigh. I enjoy lean meat so I was looking forward to it. Salad and pickles arrived first. The dressing is delicious. The tonkatsu arrived quickly. It was a thin, large piece with a good amount. The breading was crispy, and the meat was tender. I couldn't tell the difference in meat quality, but both had a rich meat flavor and were delicious. Based on this experience, I think other cuts of tonkatsu here would also be tasty. I would like to try them. The Everyday Katsu set meal is a good deal price-wise, so I thought it was worth it. I found EAT PLAY WORKS to be an interesting place once again. I enjoy exploring different lunch spots. Thank you for the meal.
