I felt like eating delicious cakes and went to Henri Charpentier on the basement floor of Matsuya Ginza. I looked at the showcase and had a shortcake, mango cake, cream puff, and pudding. They were all delicious in both appearance and taste, and I was very satisfied.

Sagaken's strawberry ♡ richly scattered sweet and sour ~ (*≧∀≦*) Limited edition strawberry financiers have a rich strawberry scent!! They are made with freshly picked strawberries from Sagaken within 4 days of production, so you can enjoy this wonderful aroma and taste.

I went to Matsuya Ginza to buy souvenirs, but ended up stopping by and buying some desserts. I got the classic shortcake and cream puff. The cream wasn't too sweet and the strawberries tasted like they could last forever. I also enjoyed the cream puff with its perfectly crispy shell. Thank you for the delicious treats.

A Christmas party with 4 families, and a friend in charge of the cake brought this special reservation-only whole cake from Henri Charpentier! The "Chantilly Frais" cake is 21cm in diameter (though actually over 23cm) and over 15cm in height. Priced at 8,640 yen, this large cake really gets you excited! It's a classic strawberry and whipped cream cake, and the cream is fluffy, soft, and deliciously melting. The decoration is elegant and adds a nice atmosphere to the simple cake. Very satisfying! They also offer other sizes like 15cm for 3,700 yen, 18cm for 5,400 yen, and even larger sizes like 24cm and 30cm. The 30cm cake serves 20-25 people and costs 27,000 yen.

I bought some additional items for gifts at the department store basement. When it comes to souvenirs, supermarkets and convenience stores are catching up, and there is a lack of special feeling, with just brand and packaging. Overall, it's neither good nor bad.

"Henri Charpentier" started from a small café in Ashiya City, Hyogo Prefecture in 1969. It is a well-known pastry shop loved by those who enjoy Western sweets. They now have a total of 99 stores both domestically and internationally. Their popular items include "Financier" and "Madeleine". In September of this year, Financier was recognized as the top-selling item for 8 consecutive years, earning a Guinness World Record. I purchased a gift set of Financier and Madeleine this time. The Financier is made with a blend of two types of almonds and original fermented butter from Hokkaido. It is slightly firm yet moist, not too sweet, and has a strong aroma of butter and almond flavor, making it delicious.

Strawberry shortcake for 600 yen (excluding tax). The sponge cake is fluffy and the cream has just the right amount of sweetness. The strawberries were a bit sour, maybe because of the season. I was surprised to find that there are fewer cake shops than I expected at Matsuya Ginza.

I purchased cakes at Henri Charpentier in Ginza. I bought the classic strawberry shortcake and the peach mille-feuille tart. The shortcake is a traditional one with strawberries on top, featuring a fluffy sponge and fresh cream. The peach mille-feuille tart is a new type of cake with mille-feuille pastry rolled up and topped with peaches. The combination of peach compote and soft mille-feuille pastry is delicious. It's a cake where you can taste the sweetness and aroma of the peaches.

I compared about 10 cake shops around Ginza Station including Mitsukoshi Ginza and Matsuya Ginza, but I ended up choosing this renowned shop from Ashiya. As expected from a famous patisserie, all the cakes were delicious with a perfect balance.

I received plain financiers as a gift. There were 8 pieces in the box. (I wish there were different flavors, but oh well, haha) They were delicious financiers with a strong buttery taste yet light texture! I couldn't help but want to eat 2-3 pieces at once. They would be perfect with tea or coffee.

I received tea and tea snacks during tea time on the Shinkansen. Petit Gateau Altili offers various types of mini-sized financiers individually wrapped, so you can enjoy them little by little whenever you want. It was delicious to enjoy them with coffee.

This Christmas cake was chosen to be basic yet delicious. To avoid the crowds and sold out items on the actual day, I made a reservation online and prepared to pick it up on Christmas Eve, the 24th. I went for the classic strawberry shortcake, with minimal Christmas decorations to keep it simple. The taste was top-notch, with rich and delicious cream. Overall, it was satisfying and I have no complaints.

[3.5 Rating] Visited on 3/29. Located inside Matsuya, just a few minutes walk from Ginza Station. Came on a weekend night. The place was busy with customers from the department store nearby. The shop is takeout only, like many other shops in department stores. Ordered 5 financiers for 702 yen and 8 madeleines for 1080 yen (including tax). Positive points: Polite service, financiers were moist and not too hard on the surface, with a good buttery flavor and a tasteful sweetness. Negative points: Personal preference, but they were slightly lacking in firmness and felt a bit too oily, making them a bit difficult to eat. Thank you for the meal.

Matsuya Ginza, located on the basement floor of the Depachika, is where you can find Henri Charpentier. The showcase is filled with beautifully delicious cakes. I have purchased from here several times and have always been satisfied with the taste. This time, I bought a Financier. It is reasonably priced, similar to convenience store Financiers. It is moist, with a strong buttery flavor and a gentle sweetness. I highly recommend it as it is delicious.

The perfect sweetness with a perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. This cake shop has been my favorite since a long time. I stopped by because it's close to my workplace in Ginza. I enjoyed it at home with excitement. It's delicious as always. A highly satisfying cake. I will definitely visit again.

Located on the basement floor of Matsuya Ginza main store, this patisserie is a take-out only shop. For Valentine's Day this year, my daughter made a handmade gift while I splurged on a luxury chocolate for my husband, so he returned the favor by buying something special for White Day. He brought home a 15cm strawberry tart priced at 3,240 yen (tax included). The tart is beautifully decorated with large strawberries. The custard cream is made with milk, which is rich in protein, carbohydrates, minerals, and vitamins. The tart is crispy, the custard cream is rich and sweet, and the strawberries add a nice touch of tartness. The cream is absolutely delicious - flavorful but not heavy. The balance of flavors is just right, and the size is perfect for sharing among three people. Truly a worthy tart from Henri Charpentier!

I love financiers with a buttery and almond fragrance, but they are too sweet for me so one piece is enough. I usually avoid fresh sweets, but these were delicious. The Shortcake (2 types of grapes) had a light whipped cream, while the Apple Sweet Ensemble had a sweet and sour apple mousse and compote.

Cake for Hinamatsuri!! It's so cute with the pink color. I got a small-sized whole cake for about 3,000 yen. It has a subtle cherry blossom-like feel... Henri Charpentier doesn't have a special vibe, but it's reliably delicious so I use it occasionally. I personally prefer Antenor's, but Henri Charpentier is undeniably tasty, so I will continue to rely on it in the future. (^^)

If you head to Ginza Maison Henri Charpentier, it's hot, the sun is strong, and there are a lot of people, so it can be unpleasant. Instead, I found a place inside Matsuya Ginza. I was planning to buy financiers but ended up getting a lemon tart. They didn't sell them individually, so I bought a box of four. The lemon tart is rectangular, smaller and thinner than the financiers. It's sweeter than I expected, but the lemon puree topping is tangy. The box is cute.

"HENRI CHARPENTIER" is a pastry shop founded by patissier Naokuni Arida in Ashiya, Hyogo in 1969. Currently, there are a total of three stores in Ashiya, Hyogo, Nishinomiya, Hyogo, and Ginza, Tokyo where you can enjoy their cakes. The stores are located nationwide, and they also have an online shop for purchasing their products from anywhere in Japan. I have had their cakes a few times before, but this time I tried the "Sachertorte <Classic>" (tax included 540 yen). Sachertorte is a classic cake from Austria, with layers of chocolate cake and apricot jam. The rich chocolate is perfectly sweet, with the apricot adding a nice touch of sweetness and tartness. Although I only tried one variety this time, I always appreciate the simple yet elegant and delicious cakes from "HENRI CHARPENTIER." The relatively affordable price is also a plus point. I look forward to trying more in the future.
