Moving from Tokyo to Fukuoka. Before taking off from Haneda Airport, I decided to have lunch at "Hitoshinaya," a Japanese restaurant that focuses on dashi broth.
- Location: It is located in the first terminal. The open kitchen creates a bright and open atmosphere, allowing you to see the chefs preparing the dishes. I was seated at the counter seats in a U-shape.
- Menu: The lunch menu offers 5 options - white rice porridge, salmon meal, meat meal, fish meal, and beef meal. I chose the salmon meal for 1,500 yen. Shortly after, the dashi broth was served. The golden broth had a gentle and soothing taste.
- Main Dish: The main dish was a thick piece of salmon with a crispy surface and a tender interior. The seasoning was just right. The rice, made with a special variety of Koshihikari rice, was cooked in front of me and was deliciously sweet and fluffy. The miso soup, made with white miso, contained vegetables like mushrooms and spinach.
- Overall Impression: The side dishes such as simmered vegetables, rolled omelette, and tofu were also carefully prepared. The delicious side dishes made me ask for a second serving of rice, which was free of charge. In conclusion, I felt grateful to be born in Japan after experiencing the wonderful meal at Hitoshinaya. The food was truly delicious, and I would want to be born in Japan again. Off to Fukuoka! Thank you for the meal.

There is a restaurant at Haneda Airport where you can have breakfast. They use high-quality rice which is very delicious. Even though I didn't have much appetite, I had plain rice and a raw egg (you can have seconds of rice). It was so delicious that I ended up having seconds even though I wasn't very hungry. The rice porridge set also looked very delicious! Having Japanese food in the morning makes me happy. ♡

I usually like to relax in the lounge, so I rarely eat at Haneda Airport. However, yesterday my flight was delayed due to the typhoon, and I didn't know when it would depart. I was torn between curry udon and soba, but I ended up choosing the large serving of soba. The soba had a firm texture and was delicious, just the way I like it! The cost performance may not be the best, though.

Last October, when I had some business in Tokyo, I had a delicious buckwheat noodles meal on my way back, and I really felt the quality of the 100% buckwheat noodles. I wanted to go back if I had the chance. This time, I had tempura buckwheat noodles, and once again, I felt the deliciousness and chewiness of the 100% buckwheat noodles. The tempura was also very good, with a nice firmness of the shrimp and sweet onions. If I have the chance to go to Haneda Airport, I would like to go there to eat again.

A good ryokan-style breakfast that is delicious! Especially after coming back from overseas, it tastes amazing. The soup with dashi served at the beginning is so flavorful, and the rice is so delicious that I ended up asking for seconds. The price is a bit high (I was surprised by how expensive it was coming back from Asia), but considering the location, it's understandable that it feels a bit pricey. It was busier than the neighboring rice bowl and soba shops, but everyone ate quickly and left, so the turnover seemed fast. The fact that there was plenty of space to put your suitcase afterwards was also helpful.

I prefer to enjoy the Torotaku Tekkadan-don with Uni soy sauce by adding it little by little because it is too strong. Alternatively, I like to use the free dashi provided to dilute it while eating. Especially, ikura and nori taste much better with the dashi! It's recommended to eat quickly before a flight!

I had the tea pickled meal for breakfast, which cost 1,700 yen and offered free rice refills. Even though I don't usually eat breakfast, the small dishes were so delicious that I ended up eating too much. Each dish was carefully prepared, and the rice was especially tasty. I think it was called Tago rice? The final ochazuke had salmon flakes, pickled greens, minced meat, and spicy cod roe in it. It was so satisfying. There were about 10 people lined up around 7:00 am, but I was able to enter without waiting around 7:30 am after dropping off my bags. Perfect timing! I want to come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This shop located on the departure floor of Haneda Airport Terminal 1 tends to have long lines, but when I visited around 9 am, there was only one person ahead of me, so I got in quickly. The breakfast menu consists of grilled salmon, rice porridge, and ochazuke. I wanted something hearty, so I chose the grilled salmon for 1600 yen. Considering hotel breakfast prices, it's not too bad. The thick and perfectly grilled salmon was satisfying, and it was a great start to the day.

At Haneda Airport Terminal 1 North Wing on the first floor, there is a shop called Hitoshinaya. Three different concept shops are lined up. This time, I tried the Toro Taku Tekka Don. It was enjoyable to eat it by rolling it with seaweed and eating it as ochazuke. Eating it rolled in seaweed was delicious.

Today, I departed on a golf tour in Hokkaido where I will stay for one night and play two rounds. Before boarding the JAL flight to Sapporo, I had breakfast at a Japanese restaurant called "Hitoshinaya" in the North Wing of the first terminal. The spacious restaurant with glass walls is divided into three areas, and the central area is used for breakfast. There was a line of 6-7 people waiting, so I was guided to the left area. The breakfast menu includes three options: salmon meal, white rice porridge meal, and tea pickles meal. I ordered the white rice porridge meal for 1700 yen. First, I was served cold water and hot broth to warm up the stomach. After about 8 minutes, the white rice porridge meal arrived in a large tray with a variety of small side dishes. The left side had boiled greens, miso-grilled chicken, tofu in broth, and grilled fish. The right side had rolled omelette with cod roe, pickled vegetables, simmered eggplant, and okara. Each dish was subtly flavored, allowing the taste of the porridge to stand out. The porridge was made with rice from Chiba Prefecture, cooked to a creamy texture that complemented the side dishes well. I enjoyed the sweetness of the rice while eating the side dishes. The first bowl was so delicious that I ended up having a second serving. The second bowl had a thick soy sauce-based sauce called "bekko-an" poured over it, adding a rich umami flavor. It also came with three kinds of minced chicken, salmon, and mustard greens to accompany the porridge. The miso soup with seaweed and mushrooms was also delightful, and I couldn't resist having a second serving of the porridge. I thought about having a third serving, but decided against it as I had already eaten quite a lot. Overall, the breakfast was not too heavy but still colorful and satisfying, making it a meal that would appeal to many people.

It was a busy day during the Obon festival, but we were seated promptly at Jyuuwari Soba. Even though we had children with us, the only available seating was at the counter, but we were placed in a corner so we could enjoy our meal at our own pace. The tempura soba was delicious (*^^*) and it had 4 shrimp in it. They serve the broth in a cup along with water. You can also get refills. Thank you for the meal.

Departed from JAL domestic terminal North Wing and used the JAL Lounge before meeting up with others. Normally, I would check in, finish baggage inspection, and then use the JAL Lounge, but this time I didn't have time to eat inside. I only had a short 18-minute stay by myself. I had cold soba noodles, tempura, and a draft beer. The beer was delicious, and you could tell that the tap was well maintained. The tempura and soba noodles were both authentic and tasty. I wish I had more time to savor the meal...haha. It was a bit pricey, but considering the convenience and taste, it was a better choice than searching for other airport restaurants. It was a luxurious fast food experience before the start of my journey. Thank you for the meal.

Before departure, I had a moment at a restaurant. Since it was only 8 am, there were few places open, and the options were limited. The restaurant was quite empty, probably because it was a weekday morning. I ordered the white rice porridge set (and the tea-pickled vegetable set) from the three breakfast menu options. I enjoyed the gentle flavors in the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.

My wife went to Fukuoka ahead of me, so I sent her off to the airport and we had lunch together. The additional order of eggs was delicious, and the salmon was boneless and easy to eat, with just the right amount of salt. The rice was shiny and very tasty. Even though we had lunch, I realized that having such a rich breakfast makes the whole day feel better. The service was also very good! Thank you for the meal.

Today, my wife and I started our trip to Fukuoka. We decided to have breakfast at Hanamaru near the JAL departure lobby at Haneda Airport. The restaurant was almost full. The menu offered options like salmon meal, white rice porridge meal, and tea-pickled meal, and I chose the salmon meal. It came with grilled salmon, tofu in dashi broth, pickled vegetables, and salad, costing 1600 yen and totaling 662 calories. The salmon was thick, tender, and delicious. The miso soup was also tasty with white miso. It was a healthy start to the day!

I arrived in Tokyo late the previous day and missed dinner. Since I had the chance, I decided to have some sushi before my flight. Even though it was past 6 AM, there were only two groups of people waiting. The spacious interior made it easy to get a seat quickly. Feeling a bit rushed due to the gate closing time, I sat down. I ordered the "Chazuke Set for 1700 yen." I was served cold water and hot broth while waiting. The food was brought out in just 5 minutes. There were many small side dishes and 3 different accompaniments for the rice. It was hard to decide what to eat first, when to pour the broth, and whether to have just the salmon, pickled vegetables, or plum. The variety of choices made it difficult to choose. Even though I could have eaten 3 bowls of rice, I had to finish quickly due to time constraints. Everything was delicious. I look forward to visiting again and this time, I'll consider getting a rice refill to enjoy it fully.

I had breakfast. I was served a delicious and healthy breakfast with rice. The restaurant is a counter-style with the kitchen in the middle of the dining area, allowing customers to watch the chefs at work. Also, although not shown in the photos, the roasted green tea soft serve ice cream was rich and incredibly delicious!

The Toro Taku Don is good, but the flavors mix too much so you can't really taste each one. The dashi for ochazuke comes out first, so it ends up lukewarm by the end. I think it's one of the best restaurants in Haneda Airport. There's always a line, but they serve customers quickly.

The place is in front of the JAL check-in counter on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1. There is a single store with three entrances: "Breakfast," "Donburi," and "Soba." Each entrance offers the corresponding menu. This time, I ordered the salmon bowl for breakfast with an additional pickled plum. First, a small cup of soup is served, which gently soothes the empty stomach before breakfast. The main salmon dish is thick and each piece is grilled on a net, bringing out the sweetness of the salmon with a perfect balance of flavors. The salad, pickles, rolled omelette, and boiled vegetables are all delicious. The rice is cooked in a pot, making it fluffy, shiny, and very tasty. You can have seconds if you want. The seating is only at the counter, surrounding the fully open kitchen, allowing you to see the cooking process clearly. Customers tend to eat and leave quickly, so the turnover is fast. On the other hand, it may not be suitable for those who want to chat and eat slowly. It's convenient to have space behind each seat to store luggage and suitcases at the airport.

I returned to Haneda Airport earlier than expected, so I decided to have lunch before heading home. The restaurant that serves egg over rice was closed, so I opted for a light lunch at a place with a variety of options and mostly female customers. I was served a broth and cold tea first. I don't often drink broth, but when I did, it made me appreciate the goodness of Japanese cuisine. Thank you for the meal.
