This is a self-service cafe located on the third floor of a building with public facilities. I had the Napoli-style pasta made with salad komatsuna grown in Edogawa Ward. The Napoli sauce was a bit watery and tasted like it came from a can. You can also purchase salad komatsuna at the shop next to the cafe, which sells local crafts from Edogawa Ward.

I arrived at Shinzaki station at 11:30 for a meeting at 1:30. I needed to kill time and do some work, so I asked a local for recommendations. They suggested a cozy restaurant where I had a burger with tomato sauce. Next time, I'll definitely go for the teriyaki sauce. The burger and salad were decent, but the curry soup was a bit lacking in flavor. The staff were firm but friendly, and their attention to detail was appreciated. Overall, a convenient spot in Shinzaki despite the average cost performance.

It's quiet and nice here. After getting vaccinated, I entered the store from the exit of the venue in seconds, and while looking at the crafts and food in front of the store, I thought about having some tea. It was empty and the bright sunlight was shining into the store. This place is amazing. I bought a huge cheese bagel as a souvenir.

Head over to "Artisan" in Shinzaki, Edogawa-ku. Located on the 3rd floor of the Shinzaki Bunka Plaza, directly connected to the west exit of Shinzaki Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, this traditional crafts cafe not only offers drinks and meals but also sells local products and traditional crafts from Edogawa-ku. Across from the cafe, you'll find the Shinzaki Library, creating an overall calm atmosphere. Order an iced coffee at the counter near the entrance, pay first, then pick up your drink at the adjacent counter and head to the central table. The iced coffee has a refreshing taste with a pleasant aftertaste. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious. The interior of the cafe allows for a relaxed and enjoyable time. Thank you for the meal.

In Edogawa Ward, Komatsugawa is known for its association with komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), a fact that even Tokyo residents may not be aware of. At this café, you can enjoy pasta and pizza dishes made with komatsuna sourced from Edogawa Ward. Located within the Edogawa Ward Shinzaki Cultural Plaza, this café operates on a prepayment self-service system. They also sell processed foods made with komatsuna.

Head to "Artisan" in Shinzaki-cho, Edogawa-ku. It is a traditional craft cafe located on the 3rd floor of Shinzaki Cultural Plaza, right across from Shinzaki Library. The building is conveniently connected to the west exit of Shinzaki Station. Order an iced coffee at the counter near the entrance and pay upfront. Receive your iced coffee from the counter and head to a table in the back. Let's dig in. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations when I casually walked into this cafe, but surprisingly, the coffee is really good. Since I visit Shinzaki Library once a week, I would like to come back here again. Thank you for the meal.

There is a library and a cafe on the third floor of a building that houses a summit, and the cafe has a very quiet atmosphere. The entrance also sells folk crafts, making it fun to browse. They offer coffee jelly with roasted green tea ice cream, cold brew coffee, and boiled barley tea. The coffee jelly is a type of jelly that crumbles easily, and it goes well with the sweet soft serve ice cream. The cold brew coffee is perfect for hot summer days as it is served ice cold. I'm currently in Shinzaki for the Komatsuna Gourmet Stamp Rally. There is a cafe located right near the station inside the Edogawa Shinzaki Cultural Plaza, where you can enjoy a proper meal. The menu here is full of enthusiasm, being located within an Edogawa facility. However, I decided to order the Komatsuna soy milk smoothie with a banana flavor, as it seemed easy to drink. While waiting at my table, I could hear the sound of the salad komatsuna being crushed in a juicer, which was also being sold at the storefront (laughs). Finally, the Komatsuna soy milk smoothie arrived. Its appearance was vibrant and looked very healthy! Upon taking a sip, it tasted delicious! Despite being mellowed out by the soy milk and banana, the taste of komatsuna was still noticeable, making it quite tasty. The background music happened to be 80s New Romantic music, which was a nice touch (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

This is a cafe located on the third floor of the Shinzaki Bunka Plaza, directly connected to Shinzaki Station. It seems to be operated by Edogawa Ward, as there is a library on the same floor. The cafe offers a variety of options from morning to meals, including a menu featuring Edogawa Ward's specialty, komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach). I had a light lunch here, ordering the Healthy Curry with Quinoa Rice, Beans, and Ground Chicken for 780 yen. It is a self-service style, so I was given a number and waited at my seat. The curry, served on a plate with quinoa on top, was quickly brought to me. It was a retort curry with plenty of beans and ground meat, quite delicious. The quinoa added a nice texture. The salad komatsuna was soft and tasty, without any bitterness, and went well with the curry. I also bought the salad komatsuna to take home for 150 yen. I tried it as a salad later and found it to be delicious, with a mild flavor and easy to eat. If it's nutritious, I would be happy to have it. I would like to use this cafe again if I have the chance, as it supports Edogawa Ward.

I ordered a 30-ingredient fruit and komatsuna juice before the customer arrived for work. The scent of komatsuna is quite strong. I was excited to try it and it did not disappoint. The taste was a good balance of komatsuna, fruit acidity, and sweetness. The juice contained banana, orange, and apple flavors, but the other ingredients were unclear. It was delicious and easy to drink. The store also sells traditional crafts and has an exhibition area, which added to the nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the experience. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered a pasta salad dressing set. The salad had fresh komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach), and the pasta also had chopped komatsuna. My companion had a Gapao rice dish with a lot of komatsuna as well. Since it's a café in a public facility, the concept is centered around the local specialty of komatsuna. It's easy to understand and quite nice! Surprisingly, komatsuna is delicious! It's in season now. According to one theory, it got its name from being grown along the Komatsu River during the Edo period. However, it doesn't really go well with tomato-based pasta, but it doesn't overpower the pasta either, so it's interesting as an ingredient. The crunchy texture of fresh komatsuna is quite good. The café attached to the library doesn't seem to be focused solely on taste, but the place is clean and relaxing. It might be nice to stop by for a breath of fresh air and talk about the local specialty of komatsuna if you're in the area. I thought about coming back to try the komatsuna juice that I didn't have this time.

Traditional craft cafe Artisan is located on the 3rd floor of Shinzaki Cultural Plaza, opposite the library. I stopped by to replenish my water and calories before using the library. The Mini Komatsuna Meat Doria costs 500 yen. Adding a drink set costs an additional 120 yen. For an extra 40 yen, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat salad. This time, I opted for the drink set. Even with the additional items, the standard coffee is priced at less than half the original price, making it quite a good deal. The Doria is baked slowly and thoroughly, giving off a tantalizing aroma of burnt cheese. The crispy surface is delicious. Despite being a mini size, it was quite satisfying in terms of portion. The dishes are brought to your table, but you return the used dishes to the self-service return shelf.

In December 2015, there was a Komatsuna stamp rally in Edogawa Ward, and I decided to check it out. I visited a place near Shin-Sakuradai Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, where there is a Summit store on the third floor of a building that also houses a library. I tried their Komatsuna smoothie for 460 yen, and I must say it was quite delicious. The smoothie was a healthy and tasty alternative to green juice, which I also enjoy. Edogawa Ward is known for its Komatsuna production, and I think the stamp rally event is a great idea. I hope to complete it next year. This year, I visited five places, including Nihon Ryori Gensen, Marugar, Patisserie Nagakita, Kojiya Saketen, and finally Artisan. It was a great experience trying different Komatsuna smoothies at each place. Overall, it was a satisfying culinary adventure. Thank you for the delicious treats. Highly recommended.

The coffee shop across from the library in Shinzaki is a perfect spot for enjoying a book while sipping on a drink. The coffee they serve is unique, with a subtle coffee flavor that sets it apart from others. It's not your typical strong coffee, but rather a carefully crafted blend that minimizes the coffee taste. It's a hidden gem that you wouldn't expect to find in this area. The service is efficient, with orders taken at the counter and brought to your table by the waiter. Overall, it's a cozy spot to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

This floor is like a community center with a library, meeting rooms, and classes, so there are many elderly people. The café is also popular among older customers who gather to chat. The space is open and airy, like a loft with no walls. It took a while for my food to arrive since they prepare everything by themselves. I ordered an omurice, which was heavy with rice, egg, cheese, and curry (I couldn't finish it). The coffee came with milk and sugar, but for some reason, it was sweet! Not good for those who prefer black coffee. You have to serve yourself water, which I didn't realize until the end and had trouble drinking. At the entrance, there are local crafts like Kutani ware and Komatsuna handicrafts displayed.

I visited this station in the morning because I had to use it for work. Reading other people's reviews, it seems convenient as it is connected to a library. It seems to be a friend of the local residents. Since it was morning, I bought some bread. It seems like you can do most things by yourself. There were interesting drinks like komatsuna smoothie, but I didn't want to take too much of a risk, so I just had regular tea. The bread is individually packaged and quite ordinary. I guess you could say it's tasty. A cafe near the station where you can relax in the morning is valuable. Thank you for the meal!

This is my go-to place for refreshing on my day off♪ [Artisan] Shinzaki has very few dining options, which is quite sad, but the good thing is that there is a beautiful library connected to the station! And right across from it, there is a cafe where you can drink alcohol!! Spending my day off at the library, buying books, reading them while having a drink. Such a luxurious experience! And the best part is that it's quiet, not crowded, truly a hidden gem. Before the earthquake, there used to be more shops that served food and drinks at night, but now it's only this cafe. They used to separate it as a cafe during the day and a cafe bar at night, but now it's all in one place, which has expanded the variety of drinks you can have during the day♪ I really want to drink beer, but they only have it in bottles.. I feel like it's not appropriate for a woman to be drinking bottled beer in front of the library during the day, so I'm happy that they have added more cocktails. I always order a Spritzer, which comes with fresh lemon and is delicious♪ They also have pasta, doria, and other cafe dishes, but I always go for the "snack set". Mix nuts and cheese (6 cubes) for 250 yen. All cocktails are 350 yen, so for 600 yen, it's a blissful time.^^ I wish they had more snack options besides the set (like vegetable sticks or fresh spring rolls). There are people studying here, so it might be a problem if people stay too long after drinking^^;

[Tokyo, Edogawa-ku] On April 14, 2012 (Saturday), a cafe located near Shin-Sakuragi Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, attached to a community center. You can enjoy sweets and drinks made with Edogawa-ku's specialty, komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach). Due to the stormy rain and strong winds on this day, we had to cut short our planned excursion and headed to this cafe instead. If the weather had been better, I would have liked to extend our trip to the Komatsuna Shrine, also known as Katori Shrine. This cafe is likely operated by a private entity under commission from a public institution. In addition to the dining area, there is also an exhibition and sale space for the local vegetables, food products, and traditional crafts of the district. The barley tea "Mugimaru" from Ogawa Shoten, which we stopped by before coming here, was also displayed. Hoping for a komatsuna smoothie for a vitamin boost, we had to switch to a combination of komatsuna Baumkuchen and blended coffee as it was only available in the summer. It is a self-service system. Perhaps due to the presence of a library in the building, there were many individuals enjoying reading inside the cafe. Although there were seven of us, we managed to rearrange the chairs and tables to sit together. The komatsuna Baumkuchen had a beautiful green cross-section. The taste did not particularly highlight the komatsuna flavor... it was just delicious. Since komatsuna is a vegetable with little to no distinct taste, the concept seems to be more about enjoying a tasty dessert while unknowingly getting some nutrients. The komatsuna Baumkuchen is also sold as a souvenir, but you can enjoy it by the slice at the cafe, making it convenient for tasting as a souvenir. I had a taste of the komatsuna juice. It had an apple base and was easy to drink. Although I couldn't tell how much komatsuna was in it, komatsuna is a vegetable with little flavor, so the drinkability was understandable. The staff seemed a bit aloof (laughs). If you are exploring Edogawa-ku, why not include a visit to this cafe where you can enjoy local komatsuna products in your itinerary.-------------
[Komatsuna] A plant that was cultivated through variety improvement near Komatsugawa in Edogawa-ku. It has a history of being highly praised by the Edo shoguns Tokugawa Tsunayoshi or Yoshimune, who granted the privilege of using the place name "Komatsu". Even today, Edogawa-ku has the highest cultivation volume of komatsuna by municipality (data from 2005). It can be said that this place is truly Japan's representative agricultural product to be proud of.
