I recently heard about a very premium all-you-can-eat restaurant that is causing a buzz on social media. As someone who is getting older, I had planned to move away from prioritizing quantity over quality when it comes to food, but I am amazed at how high the quality of all-you-can-eat options has become these days! The place is called "Isshintansuke" in Ueno. It's right next to ABAB, so you can easily find it. The inside has a nostalgic atmosphere with cassette stove style, a casual yakiniku restaurant. This restaurant originally offered all-you-can-eat options, but their new "premium all-you-can-eat" is just amazing in terms of value! For 4,980 yen, you get a 120-minute all-you-can-eat experience. Among the 60 items on the menu, only the "premium wagyu fillet" cannot be refilled, but everything else from beef tongue (American), to A4 black wagyu beef seared meat sushi is all-you-can-eat. I decided to start grilling the meat right away. The staff graciously grilled the "premium wagyu fillet" for me. It was crispy on the outside and rare on the inside. Cut into bite-sized pieces, the premium meat just melts in your mouth. It's truly a princess steak. When I tried it with a bit of truffle salt, the aroma was addictive. Next, I tried the "wagyu seared meat sushi (sirloin)". It was seared at the table with a burner. Just watching it turn golden brown made me feel so happy. Other side dishes like kimchi and namul are also available for order. Since just eating meat can get boring, it's good to try a variety of items. There are also refreshing lean meats like "beef loin shabu-shabu with grated ponzu sauce". With 60 items on the menu, you won't be able to try everything individually. However, my favorite is the "Sendai beef tongue" which I always make sure to order. The best part of all-you-can-eat is that you can keep repeating your favorites. I liked it so much that I ordered it multiple times, and a visually stunning bouquet-like beef tongue appeared. This one is definitely satisfying. And lastly, I must mention the "meat sushi series". With sirloin, loin, tongue, and kalbi, I ordered all four for everyone at the table. "Beef tongue sushi, sirloin sushi". "Kalbi sushi, loin sushi". The sirloin was seared again for extra flavor. No matter how many times you look at it or eat it, delicious food is just delicious! After indulging in plenty of beef tongue and wagyu seared meat sushi at "Isshintansuke", I was so full that I couldn't eat anything else (laughs). I was completely satisfied, both in my stomach and my heart, and I went beyond the point of breaking even. By the way, they are open for lunch until 5 a.m. the next morning, so whenever you feel like having yakiniku, you can go there anytime. Good convenience!
