The person who named this cafe is a genius. The success of the Shinonome Group is remarkable. There are some shops that have been in the Kuranomae area for a long time, while others have relocated. There are two bakeries and two cafes in the area, with a takeout-only cafe located next to the current Half Moon cafe. I often don't stop by because I am satisfied with the takeout cafe on my way back. When I do try to stop by, they are often closed for research. One unique aspect of the menu is that you can choose the strength of your cafe au lait. I asked if I could choose at the store due to my preferences, and they were able to accommodate. This was the first time I had seen this option, and I really appreciated it. The staff this time was different from the last time, where they were in casual clothes. There was a wait because there were other customers, but the atmosphere of the cafe was excellent, as passersby were commenting on how cute it was.

On September 10, 2021, a new coffee takeout stand called "Hangetsu Roasting Laboratory" opened in a place that was previously used as a roasting facility for affiliated stores. It is located in a small alley between the confectionery shop Shinonome and the tea room Koame. They have created a small roasting facility where they roast coffee beans on a regular basis, and if they have time, they open for business. On days when they are open, they offer a variety of coffee menu options, including espresso drinks, pour-over coffee, cafe au lait, cold brew coffee, and more. A nice feature is that you can choose the milk concentration for your cafe au lait. It seems like a fun idea to stop by for a break at a nearby park while taking a stroll. If you find a bean you like, you can purchase it on the spot. They also offer original foil-stamped boxes, making it perfect for gifts. After relocating near Kuramae Station, it is now located next to the tea room Koame. You can buy various coffee beans from different regions, and bean sales are the main focus. You can also enjoy freshly brewed delicious coffee to go.
Iced Cafe Latte: 500 yen
Even with espresso, you can choose from 5 different types of beans yourself. Today, I tried the medium-roasted Guatemala. It has a rich and fruity acidity, a gentle sweetness in the aftertaste, and is easy to drink. The taste was delicious, but the cup was a bit small compared to other stores, so I finished it quickly.
They will recommend bean types based on your preferences, so I think it's a friendly shop for first-timers. I would like to try other beans next time.

I think it used to be located behind Coffee Lights. It seems like they moved to Kokusai Street within a year of opening. Just like before, it's still takeout only. ★Entry time: I was able to buy it right before 1 p.m. on Sunday. ★What I ordered this time: Cold brew coffee for 500 yen. Today, it was made with Ethiopian beans. It had a refreshing taste, perfect for a hot day. They seem to be particular about their beans, so it's a bit pricey, but it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
