Located near Nishi-Shinjuku Station, White Silver is a quiet restaurant just before entering the residential area. It has a more local and calm atmosphere compared to Koganeya on Kotaki Bridge Street. The shrimp and shirasu daikon grated radish appetizer was delicious! The "Otsukare Set" is a great deal at ¥900, including a drink (draft beer or highball), a daily small dish, and two assorted grilled fish skewers (we had horse mackerel and saury on our visit). It's a very good value and tasty. The "Akou Tai" (¥200) is a must-try addition, with deliciously fatty fish. You can only order this dish in pairs. The original potato salad (¥480) has chunky potatoes and crisp lettuce at the bottom, making it a tasty combination. The seared mentaiko (¥480) is perfectly cooked and delicious, making this place a favorite for its great value and taste!

I went to a restaurant that always has a line for grilled fish set meals. I arrived around 1 pm on Monday and there was no line outside, just one person waiting inside, so I went in. I quickly placed my order and paid. I ordered the recommended set meal of grilled marinated red snapper (1,000 yen). I was seated at the counter in about 4-5 minutes. Cold tea is self-service, so I sipped on it while waiting. After another 4-5 minutes, my meal arrived. It consisted of rice, miso soup, grilled fish, small side dishes, and pickles. The fish was grilled on a charcoal grill near the entrance. It looked different from supermarket-bought marinated red snapper. The sake lees marinade was not too thick or white. The fish itself had a lighter red color. I tried it with a little grated daikon and soy sauce, and it had a refined umami flavor, very delicious! The portion of fish was quite generous, providing a satisfying meal. The rice was firm and cooked just right with Miyagi-grown Hitomebore rice. I sprinkled some furikake on top and enjoyed it. The miso soup was on the richer side. The side dish was dried daikon radish, and the pickles were lightly pickled napa cabbage and carrots. They were all tasty. You can get a large serving of rice for an extra 50 yen, and a raw egg for 50 yen as well, which might be a good option. As expected from a restaurant run by a dried fish wholesaler in Tsukiji Market, the fish was delicious and the rice was tasty. It had been a while, but this delicious grilled fish restaurant is still going strong. Thank you for the meal. 8/28/2023 3:41

If there is an office nearby, I would like to visit this restaurant 2-3 times a week. In the vicinity of Nishi-Shinjuku, there are limited options for grilled fish, but this place offers a wide variety of grilled fish, including a set lunch with eel and salmon. The portion size is generous, and I saw someone next to me ordering it, so I definitely want to try it next time. The grilled salmon belly set meal is also very delicious, with just the right amount of salt and a good amount of oil. For those who find it too oily, there is grated daikon radish available to eat it in a relatively refreshing way.

This will be my first time using this branch. The atmosphere of the restaurant is upscale and classy. I chose the 4000 yen all-you-can-drink course this time. The pork belly here is amazing, so I ordered an extra serving of it. It's seriously delicious. The taste is just as good as in Shinjuku.

The company had a 5,000 yen all-you-can-drink course with 4 colleagues starting at 7:00 PM. The restaurant was packed and a bit noisy, but the food was delicious so overall it was a good experience. The fish dishes were all fresh and tasty, with the grilled sea bream being particularly delicious. The skewered mackerel and salmon were also good. The edamame was sweet and the vegetables were tasty. The chicken was seared rare in the center. The rice with fish was flavorful and complemented the fish well. The portion sizes were just right.

Lunch on 04/24... Charcoal-grilled specialty restaurant Shiragin-ya... Fatty salt-grilled mackerel set meal for 900 yen... Suica... Good service, fast service, delicious taste, good chilled water, good portion size... As I've started to pay more attention to DHA and want to reduce saltiness, a grilled fish set meal is a must these days.

It's been a while since I came for lunch. I ordered the Ooyama chicken. I cut it into pieces with scissors, and ate it with grated daikon, wasabi, and yuzu pepper that I ordered separately. The seasoning was just right for the rice to go well. Thank you for the meal ☺️

I arrived at the company's junior colleague's long-awaited drinking party at 18:30! It's crowded here, huh. If we hadn't made a reservation, we wouldn't have been able to get in. I enjoyed a highball while ordering a plate of 5 grilled fish, Tochio-style fried chicken, pork belly with green onions, salted cucumber with salted kelp, and finally, the steak in the title. Everything was delicious, but especially the steak was outstanding! The crispy skin and rare inside combination was excellent! It was really delicious!

Today's lunch was at Shiroginya, a popular restaurant where I had to wait in line as usual. While waiting, I decided what to order, and even though Shiroginya is known for their fish, today I felt like having chicken. I ordered the Ooyama chicken, which was cut into bite-sized pieces with scissors, served with two types of soy sauce. All that was left was to enjoy each piece in order.

I often visit the dining district near Shinjuku West Exit. It's about a 10-minute walk from the station. While it's mainly izakayas at night, I heard that they serve delicious lunches, so I decided to visit. There was a menu at the entrance where you place your order and pay before being seated. It was almost full even though it was just before lunchtime. I ordered the grilled yellowtail set meal, which was delicious and you could even eat the skin. There were many other menu items that caught my eye. If you want to have a grilled fish set meal in this area, I would recommend this place. The staff's service was also good.

Shinjuku Nishi is a bit of a hassle to get to from my office or back home, but I still visit occasionally. The grilled fish options are all delicious, and the chicken dishes are satisfying as well. The restaurant isn't very big, so it can get noisy at times, but sometimes we're the ones causing the noise, so I can't complain haha. When I come here, I usually start with a draft beer and then switch to Hoppy, occasionally having a highball. I always end up going home feeling exhausted, sometimes even missing my stop, but I make it back home in the end.

Arrived at 12:40 pm. About 50% capacity. Ordered the pork belly and green onion salt set meal for 950 yen, with extra rice for 50 yen, totaling 1,000 yen. The main dish was grilled fish, but I decided to try something different. The meat was thick and you can cut it to your preferred size. There was more green onion than expected, generously seasoned with salt. The meat was flavorful and the rice was chewy, just how I like it. Even though I ordered extra rice and had some left over, there was furikake on the table so I enjoyed every last bite of the delicious white rice. The miso soup was simple, with seaweed and fried tofu. I wanted a meal that was perfect in every way, but it lacked the freshly made taste. I was hoping for that feeling of receiving something freshly grilled over charcoal, but it was just warm. If it had been freshly made, it would have been perfect! Overall, I was 95% satisfied and full.

I visited on Saturday afternoon. There are several branches, it seems. Grilled mackerel can be hit or miss, with some being dry, too fishy, or overly salty, but the one here was really delicious. The crispy skin, perfect amount of fat, and seasoning were just right, making it a perfect match with rice! The pickles were not too salty, which I liked as well as it complemented the main dish!

I ate a lot from the morning. The finale was a full plate of dried fish. Despite making a same-day reservation, they accommodated us with a course menu. I am grateful. It started with salad, then various types of dried fish, from chicken to pork. The finale was rice. I also drank alcohol and my stomach was full. Thank you for the feast ☺️

Located just outside Nishi-Shinjuku Station, this spot is perfect for a casual drink. The appetizer of tuna sashimi was fresh and beautifully presented. Today's dishes included rich kimchi, plum jellyfish, and a recommended selection of 5 skewers: mackerel in mirin sauce, herring, salmon belly, salted mackerel, and red sea bream. Each fish skewer was cooked over charcoal, allowing you to taste the differences in flavor and finishing. The cost performance is great, with affordable drinks that make you want to keep coming back. Thank you for the feast! _(._.)_

This branch of the same series is located near the company and is often used for lunch. The dried fish is delicious. On this day, I used the 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course. ・Edamame ・Kettle-boiled whitebait tofu ・Shiroginya salad ・Two types of selected grilled fish skewers ・Today's premium grilled fish dish ・Pork belly and leek salt grill ・Oyama chicken flavored sashimi steak ・Charcoal-grilled rib roast steak ・Pickles ・Mixed rice with dried fish The dried fish is consistently delicious with perfect grilling. You can also enjoy chicken, pork, and beef, and I think it's reasonably priced. You can choose from a wide variety of all-you-can-drink options, making it a good choice for company drinking parties. The store is small, so it might be a bit tight for large group drinking parties.

I finally visited a restaurant that I had been wanting to go to based on the amazing reviews. They had a limited time offer of upsized fatty mackerel, so I ordered that along with the daily salad. It was convenient that they accepted some electronic money at the entrance for payment. They don't serve alcohol during lunch, which was a bit disappointing. I guess I'll have to come back at night if I want to drink! The seating area was quite cramped...even though the concern about COVID seems to have decreased, I still felt a bit uneasy. The fish was grilled to perfection, and it tasted great with a squeeze of lemon. There were various condiments on the table, and I personally loved the olive oil the most! It had a rich and fruity flavor that complemented the dish very well. I would definitely like to visit again if I have the chance.

Today, I had lunch with my colleague here. We arrived a bit late around 12 o'clock, so there was a line. There were 8 people ahead of us. However, here you can order before being seated and pay electronically, so despite the crowd, the turnover is fast. I ordered the mackerel marinated in sweet sake set meal for 850 yen. I asked for less rice (-50 yen) and added a raw egg for 50 yen, so it balanced out. After sitting down, the meal arrived shortly. The mackerel was rich and delicious. I enjoyed the sweetness of the marinated mackerel while refreshing my palate with grated daikon radish. There was also shiso-flavored furikake on the table, so I used it to enjoy some furikake egg over rice as well. I was satisfied once again today.

When asked about choosing between a set meal or izakaya, I instinctively chose the set meal. Since fish is their specialty, I ordered the salted mackerel set meal. It was delicious, with the perfect balance of saltiness. I also tried adding lemon, grated daikon radish, and light soy sauce for extra flavor. The set meal came with rice, miso soup, and pickles, all for a reasonable price of 800 yen. The beer, Super Dry, was also reasonably priced at 480 yen. I might order it next time.

I had a job in Nishi-Shinjuku, so I had lunch with my colleague here. We ordered the grilled salted mackerel set meal. It was around 12 o'clock, so there were two people waiting outside the restaurant, but we were seated inside shortly after. The food was served in about 5 minutes. The grilled half of the mackerel was delicious with a good amount of fat. It came with miso soup, grated radish, and pickled vegetables. The main dish, the fatty mackerel, was undeniably delicious. The grilling was just right, leaving it juicy. Considering the location and quality, I think 780 yen is a good deal. I was satisfied.

I used to frequent this restaurant for lunch. It had been a while since my last visit. I forgot to take a photo, but I had dried fish and Ooyama chicken. It was quite different from the menu they had before the pandemic. The previous dishes seemed tastier. Despite the continued popularity, it seems that with more branches, the quality may have changed. Nevertheless, it was still crowded. Thank you for the meal! ☺️
