I wanted to eat Middle Eastern cuisine, so I tried a Moroccan restaurant. It was located in a nice area in Ginza, and I thought it would be more expensive, but I was able to eat and drink for around 5000 yen per person. They also had Lebanese craft beer, which was delicious.

A hidden gem of a restaurant, MishMish offers Middle Eastern cuisine with flavorful spices. We visited with a group of 6 and opted for the chef's choice course menu, which was delightful. The a la carte options were also tempting, so we plan to try them next time. The wine selection is quite interesting, featuring wines from Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia. We recommend exploring different wines with fellow wine enthusiasts. The Egyptian sparkling wine was particularly delicious, with a sophisticated and balanced flavor. The Casablanca beer was also delightful and visually appealing. We look forward to returning. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was invited by my boss to visit a restaurant. I was intrigued by the Middle Eastern cuisine, which I had never tried before. I couldn't imagine what the dishes would be like just by looking at the à la carte menu, so I opted for a simple course. I ordered Moroccan and Tunisian beer for drinks, and enjoyed a variety of dishes like hummus, eggplant paste, and meatballs with beans. I had fun trying different combinations with pita bread. The Arabic coffee and dessert were also delicious. The restaurant was not very spacious but had a clean and modern atmosphere. The staff explained the dishes in detail, making it a very enjoyable experience. I would recommend this place for those looking to try something different.

I had a lunch at a hidden gem of a restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it. It was rare to have Middle Eastern cuisine, and I enjoyed the variety on the plate. The hummus and yogurt dip were delicious. The fried dishes were also unique, giving a sense of eating exotic food. It felt healthy and more geared towards women. The lunch was a bit pricey though...1320 yen.

I have visited this place before and recently went with a friend. I recommend ordering the falafel, hummus, and shish kebab all at once as part of the course menu. The prices for the courses are reasonable. The cafe-like atmosphere makes it a great place for a girls' night out. My friend and I, who enjoy drinking, had a fun time opening a few rare Middle Eastern wine bottles from the wine list and spending a pleasant evening together.

I had planned to go to a Mexican restaurant, but it was closed, so I ended up going to a Middle Eastern restaurant instead. The entrance of the restaurant in an old building looked a bit sketchy, but I gathered my courage and went inside. The interior was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The handsome manager recommended a course menu, and although I was a bit flustered, the price wasn't too high so I decided to go for it. We started with the classic hummus. The grilled eggplant hummus had a unique and delicious flavor. I enjoyed eating it with falafel in pita bread. Next, we had a seafood tagine. I had to use my hands to peel the shells, which were hot, but the shrimp was delicious and firm. I thought that was the end of the meal, but to my surprise, a Middle Eastern-style hamburger and pilaf were served last. I didn't plan on eating this much for lunch, but everything was delicious and I left feeling very satisfied.

I decided to have lunch in Ginza on Saturday, but all the popular restaurants were crowded. Since I had a tight schedule and didn't have much time to wait in line, I was surprised to see that even my usual go-to restaurants were packed. However, I noticed a less conspicuous restaurant that served Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The sign mentioned that the restaurant had been featured on TV before. There were two groups of customers inside the small and cozy restaurant. The owner seemed to be managing everything alone. I quickly ordered Moussaka, which I had enjoyed at a Moroccan restaurant before, and also ordered a dish called Brick, which seemed different from what I had tried before. I also ordered a flower salad, rice, and chicken and lamb skewers. The dishes were served promptly and in good order. The owner seemed very friendly. Although I preferred the Moussaka from the Greek restaurant I had visited before, overall, the food was delicious.

For the third stop in the Middle East and Africa series, I visited "Mish Mish," a Middle Eastern cuisine specialist in Ginza for the first time. I wanted to delve a little deeper into Middle Eastern cuisine after trying Turkish cuisine and Koshari from Cairo at Istanbul, which is also close to the Korido Street. I chose Mish Mish for this reason. I ordered the Middle Eastern appetizer plate for 1,320 yen, along with chicken kebab and grapefruit juice. Since it was an appetizer plate, there were no main meat or fish dishes or soups. It included hummus, baba ghanoush, labneh, three types of pastes, and three types of salad-like dishes, along with falafel, all to be eaten with pita bread. The taste was unique, but not unpleasant at all, showcasing the essence of Middle Eastern cuisine. The chicken kebab was tender and flavorful, making it quite delicious. Middle Eastern cuisine is not commonly found, so I wanted to introduce it to others through this review.

Visited the street bar in 2022. A rare Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant in Ginza. The street bar menu offers a freshly grilled skewer and a drink, which is a good deal. I also ordered a salad with a high level of femininity and grilled cheese for an extra treat. I ordered two skewers of chicken and mutton, which were quite generous and reasonably priced. The restaurant is filled with female customers, creating an exotic and popular atmosphere. The cost performance is good, making it a place worth revisiting.

Mishumishu - Falafel in Ginza that makes you want to eat regularly. This was my first visit. Each dish is well done, and you can enjoy various types of mezze at this price, which is unexpected for Ginza. I was especially happy to have mezze with grilled eggplant. However, I felt like the portion was quite small for me. I could have had one more sandwich. #Falafel #PitaBread #MiddleEasternCuisine #GinzaLunch #GinzaGourmet #AsianCuisine #MiddleEasternCuisine #WesternCuisine #MediterraneanCuisine #MultinationalCuisine #Spices #Lunch #Lunchtime #LunchMeal #CostPerformance #FoodBlog

I visited a restaurant that offers a lunchtime mezze plate featuring Middle Eastern appetizers. I added some falafel and kofta kebab to the plate, and paired it with a Tunisian beer called Celtia. The quality of the appetizers was high, especially when paired with pita bread. The restaurant staff mentioned that there are not many Middle Eastern restaurants in Japan, limiting opportunities to learn Middle Eastern cooking techniques. The mezze plate included hummus, baba ghanoush, labne, tabbouleh, a beauty salad with edible flowers, Lebanese pickled cucumbers, table olives, falafel, pita bread, kofta kebab, and Tunisian beer Celtia.

If you continue straight ahead towards Shinbashi from Tokyu and Sukiyabashi Park (Sukiyabashi Street), passing by popular restaurants like Oboroduki, Sato Yosuke, and Hangetsu, and cross the parking lot on your right, you will see a sign on your left. Go up the stairs of the mixed-use building and head to the 2nd floor, the first one on your right. We arrived a little after 1 pm and had the place to ourselves. We ordered the Middle Eastern appetizer plate (1320 yen) which was served in less than 10 minutes. I had a feeling from the menu photos, but overall, the portions were quite small (;´д`). If you're used to the sizes at places like Kumba de Falafel or Falafel Brothers, you might be disappointed (about the size of a ring made with your thumb and index finger). It's overall healthy, but it might not be filling enough for men (as a woman, I found it lacking). The sandwich comes with fries, so it might be better value for money. The yogurt had a low water content and a mix of cream cheese and cottage cheese, which you can eat with the pita bread (since putting all the contents in one pita leaves it empty). While waiting, I noticed they have a variety of dishes like moussaka and brick, and even shisha, which made me feel they have a good selection. This portion might not be enough to satisfy hunger, so it could be a bit disappointing despite the decent taste. It seems like it would be more interesting to visit at night.

Between Sukiya Street and Taimei Street. On the second floor, the door is immediately on the left. I passed by without noticing the sign. The mezze includes hummus, eggplant paste, and other salty olive dishes typical of Arab cuisine. The wine list includes MAGON Rouge, allowing you to reminisce about the ruins of Carthage.

The restaurant has a cozy space with 4 four-person tables and 2 counter seats, allowing for ample distance between diners. The exotic dishes are top quality and generously portioned, offering a unique taste experience. The handsome chef's warm hospitality added to the overall satisfaction of the visit. The service, possibly by part-time staff, had a few hiccups with order accuracy and hospitality, but these can be overlooked considering the owner's efforts. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, I hope this restaurant continues to thrive.

Located about 2 minutes from Ginza Station, a little off the main street with a sign on the first floor next to the parking lot, I had been curious about the lunch appetizer set that caught my eye every time I passed by. I visited around 1:45 pm, just before the 4:00 pm lunch cutoff. As I climbed the stairs, the window of the shop on the left was not visible, giving it a nighttime vibe. There were small Middle Eastern-themed displays here and there, creating a cozy atmosphere. Upon entering, I was greeted with a lovely smile from the staff behind the counter. They provided alcohol disinfection and checked my temperature using my wrist. I chose a table near the front and ordered the lunch menu, which was the same as the sign outside. I mentioned the drink service for SNS registration, and they brought me a refreshing iced oolong tea. I decided to order the Middle Eastern appetizer set, which seemed like it might not be enough in terms of quantity. The set consisted of various dips and salads to be eaten with pita bread. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were well-balanced. After enjoying the appetizers, I decided to have dessert elsewhere. Overall, the staff's friendly attitude and the cozy atmosphere made the experience enjoyable. The appetizer set was a good value for the variety offered, but it left me craving for something more substantial. The option to add chicken kebabs was available, and the pita bread was particularly delicious. I ended the meal with a beautiful rose, a fitting touch to the Middle Eastern theme. Thank you for the meal.

When I was young, I traveled to several countries in the Middle East. I visited an Arab restaurant in Tokyo, which is not commonly found in local areas. I went there with my relatives for a special occasion. The restaurant was small, but they had implemented social distancing measures and provided alcohol disinfectant on the tables as a precaution against the Wuhan coronavirus. We had reserved a 3000 yen course meal. The appetizers included hummus, yogurt, eggplant paste, and herb salad, which we could sandwich in pita bread. Even though they were appetizers, they were quite filling. The next dish was falafel, a vegetable croquette that was not greasy and had a delicious flavor. The fish dish consisted of shrimp and mussels in a tagine, which had a great combination of spices and seafood flavors. The main course was chicken and lamb kebabs with Middle Eastern pilaf rice. The kebabs were well-spiced but not overpowering, making them easy to eat. The rice was similar to biryani, with a unique texture that was a mix between noodles and rice. It had a taste tailored for Japanese preferences, and the cost performance was reasonable even in Ginza. Overall, the dining experience deepened the bond with my relatives.

I wanted to go to Taime to eat falafel, but they are closed in September. So, I decided to try this other place that I had checked before. The atmosphere of this former snack shop lacks Middle Eastern charm. The staff seemed more focused on chatting with regular customers than paying attention to us, and there was a lack of explanations for various things. The taste was not bad, but I won't be visiting again. Next time, I'll go to Taime to enjoy falafel to the fullest.

I made a reservation for a gathering with old friends who love ethnic food. Some of us like to drink, so I asked if we could order the course menu mentioned in the reviews on Tabelog. The response was unclear. It's clear that the staff member was working hard alone, but the cost performance seems to be lacking. We ordered the assorted appetizers, seafood tagine, kebab, potatoes, and dessert. The food was delicious, and it's a good restaurant, so I hope they can show more hospitality and flexibility as well.

I went to a Middle Eastern restaurant in a deep alley in Ginza with a friend who loves spices. As a beginner, I ordered the "Basic Course - Food Only" for 2800 yen, which turned out to be just right for two people to try a variety of dishes. Despite my limited knowledge of the Middle East, I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by how mild and suitable the flavors were for Japanese taste buds. Here is a rundown of the Middle Eastern dishes we tried:
- Assorted Appetizers:
1. Organic Herb Mix Spice "Za'atar"
2. Creamy Chickpea Paste "Hummus"
3. Freshly Baked Fluffy "Pita Bread"
- Daily Salad and Popular A la Carte Dish:
1. Crispy Chickpea and Vegetable Fry "Falafel"
2. Colorful Edible Flower Salad
- Seafood Dish:
Shrimp and Mussel "Seafood Tagine" with a generous amount of spices that were flavorful but not spicy.
- Main Dish & Closing Delicacy:
1. Homemade Chicken Kebab
2. Spiced Middle Eastern Mixed Rice "Kapsa"
The kebab was light yet well-seasoned, and the Kapsa rice was mild and easy to enjoy. Overall, it was a unique experience of exploring the depth of spices, not just in terms of heat but also in terms of flavor. I might just become a spice enthusiast after this!

This time, I met up with my friends after a long time, and one of them suggested this restaurant. I had never heard of it before, but it seems to be a genuine Middle Eastern cuisine restaurant! On the day of our visit, the restaurant was located in a building in the nightlife district of Ginza, which was a bit hard to find. However, once we entered, we were greeted by a clean and beige interior that had a cozy hidden gem vibe. The dishes were very colorful and beautifully presented on cute plates, which already captured our hearts. The first dish, hummus, is one of my favorites, and if it is homemade and delicious, I am already satisfied with a rating of over 3.5. Other dishes like falafel and grilled meat skewers were served on large plates and everything was delicious. This time, we had reserved a course menu, but I would love to revisit with my big-eating husband and try various dishes a la carte!
