"Let's go to Kido Fuji!" We had promised to go there on a certain day. However, we found out through a LINE message from "Kido Hime" that the place was unexpectedly closed on that day. I am truly grateful to Kido Hime because if we had gone without knowing it was closed, we would have been very disappointed. Perhaps it was karma for planning a drinking party without informing Kido Hime. So, on the day of our meeting, we had to change plans and found a nice restaurant in Shinjuku. From JR Shinjuku Station West Exit, we walked along Kotaki Bridge Street and spotted a follower. The restaurant we had reserved was on the second floor of Ramen Kobushi, a place that became famous for its "30 minutes, 300 yen all-you-can-drink" deal. However, when we checked, it turned out they were not offering all-you-can-drink anymore. It's understandable, that kind of deal is too good to be true. The restaurant we ended up at was Toriichiz, not Tori Cheese. It quickly filled up despite being early, with a 2-hour time limit indicating its popularity. Cheers with a glass of draft beer! It had been a while since we last met, which turned out to be in the middle of last summer. We ordered the following dishes: Tori Salad, Tsukune three kinds platter, Sasami three kinds platter, Kashiwa (chicken), Liver, Shishito peppers, Cherry tomatoes, and Mizutaki (hot pot). The Mizutaki was served in a bamboo tube, and the rich milky soup with plenty of collagen was delicious. After finishing our huge drinks, we switched to sake. The Toriichiz restaurant was a lively place with a cozy atmosphere, and we had a great time chatting and enjoying the food and drinks. Time flew by quickly, and before we knew it, two hours had passed. It was a fun and enjoyable experience, and we decided to visit another interesting restaurant next time. Check out my blog for a more detailed and immersive experience: [Link to the blog post].

It's a restaurant specializing in bird dishes. The entrance is a bit hard to find, but it's on the second floor up the stairs. I ordered Chicken Nanban. It was delicious and had a good portion size. You can choose the number of pieces, so you can adjust according to your hunger level.

It was a noisy izakaya with a rowdy atmosphere. The staff seemed a bit unfriendly, but the all-you-can-drink alcohol was served quickly, which was good. The first two dishes of the course were cabbage and tofu.

The seating is cramped, possibly due to being in Shinjuku. Even though it was clearly a table for four, we were squeezed in with more people, making it uncomfortable. The staff didn't seem very happy, with no smiles. It's important to have good service too. The food was average overall, with no standout dishes. The chicken tempura with tartar sauce was nothing special, similar to what you can find at a supermarket. The cleanliness of the restroom also reflects the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a busy and cramped place, making it hard to enjoy the meal. It's just a typical izakaya, with nothing particularly outstanding. There are plenty of other options in Shinjuku, so I don't see a reason to come back here. This review is just a guideline and may not reflect real-time experiences or personal circumstances.

I apologize, but I would like to honestly share my thoughts. I visited this restaurant on a weekday night, thinking it had relatively good reviews. However, it turned out to be just an average izakaya. Personally, no matter how delicious the food is, I cannot enjoy a restaurant with sticky floors and poorly maintained restrooms, both of which were the case here. It's hard to enjoy a meal while looking at dust and dirt. I'm sorry. Thank you for the meal.

I heard that Toriichizu in Nishi-Shinjuku has great lunch deals, so I went to check it out. The Chicken Nanban set is only 500 yen! You can choose the number of fried chicken pieces, and you can also have unlimited rice and miso soup! The cost performance is amazing. The Chicken Nanban is delicious, not too heavy, just right. The portion size and taste for 500 yen is a definite repeat for me. They also have a variety of other lunch menu options, so I will try something different next time.

Personally, the chicken broth ramen was delicious. There are many famous and large chain restaurants on Kotaki Bridge Street, so it's easy to overlook smaller shops. Today's recommended lunch was a great deal! There were various local fruit sodas, which was fun. First, I tried the Fukuoka Prefecture Amaou soda and it was amazing!

I went to try their one-coin lunch, and I think the 500 yen chicken set is fantastic. On the day I visited, the lunch special was shrimp cutlet, so I ordered the shrimp cutlet set. It was simply delicious. I wish they had additional side menu options like vegetables or side dishes to make it even better.

The beer is cheap. It was a wallet-friendly place. However, some of the yakitori seasoning wasn't to my liking. The restroom inside the store is clean. Personally, I found the chicken white broth ramen at the end delicious. I only ordered safe food, but I will try something new next time.

It's been a while since I had lunch at Toriichizu. I had the 500 yen Karaage Set or the Chicken Nanban Set. It was past 1 pm, so the restaurant was not crowded, maybe due to COVID precautions. I was seated at a table even though I was alone. The Karaage Set came with 3 large pieces of crispy fried chicken. I also ordered the Karaage with Ponzu Sauce and Vegetables for 550 yen. It was served quickly, but the chicken seemed undercooked inside and overcooked outside. The rice was too soft. It seems the quality has declined compared to before. Also, the cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking as my shoes got sticky when I left. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

Today, I visited Toriichizusan. I was the only customer since it was just after opening. It was my first time there, and it had a cozy izakaya atmosphere. I ordered the fried chicken set meal, as I love fried chicken. When it arrived, I was surprised by how big the pieces were! I didn't need to order the 5-piece set... The meal was very filling and also very affordable! It was a great value lunch.

My college friend chose this place for a water hot pot with all-you-can-drink option, which seemed to offer good value. Throughout the course, we drank and ate a lot, just as we had planned. The main water hot pot dish had beautifully cut chicken meat with crispy skin! The meatballs were also carefully prepared, with a rich flavor. The soup was rich, made with carefully selected Yamato chicken. This time, we chose porridge as the finishing dish, but I also thought that the ramen, simmered slowly in this soup, would be hard to resist. I heard that they also serve ramen based on this soup for lunch, so I have high expectations for a daytime visit as well. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Toriichizu Sakaba in Kabukicho and in front of Seibu Shinjuku Station for lunch. I arrived a little after 1 pm and it was relatively empty for lunchtime. The lunch menu starts from around 500 yen, so it's a very reasonable priced restaurant. I tried their signature dishes such as Mizutaki (chicken hot pot), various yakitori skewers, and agedashi tofu. The Mizutaki had a rich and flavorful broth with tender chicken meat, which was delicious! I also enjoyed the tsukune and momo skewers. They also have set menu options, so it's easy to dine alone as well. Thank you for the meal.

On my day off, I went to Shinjuku with my friend. We met up and went to a restaurant on the second floor of a building across from Mongolian Tanmen at the west exit of Shinjuku. First, we toasted with Premium Malt beer. It was so refreshing on this hot day, and at 199 yen, it was a great deal! As a beer lover, I couldn't resist. For appetizers, we had avocado and cream cheese with bonito flakes, fried potatoes with cod roe mayo, and deep-fried grated yam. We also tried seared chicken liver sashimi-style with grated garlic and sesame oil, chicken tenderloin with wasabi, and chicken breast and skin skewers. The spicy hot pot was rich and flavorful, with ingredients like raw chicken meatballs, chicken thigh, chicken breast, cabbage, Chinese cabbage, watercress, grilled tofu, green onion, shimeji mushrooms, and enoki mushrooms. It was quite spicy but delicious. We also ordered additional grilled chicken meatballs with plum and shiso, wasabi, and grated ponzu sauce. This place is recommended for those who love chicken dishes. The fact that Premium Malt beer is only 199 yen is also very appealing to beer enthusiasts!

I went to Shinjuku Nishi! I was craving something spicy, so I couldn't resist and went in (^ω^) They had a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails too! It was fun trying out different local fruit sodas. First, I tried the Fukuoka Amaou soda and it was amazing! Next up was the avocado and cream cheese with bonito flakes, a unique dish that was perfect as a snack. And then, the fried potatoes with mentaiko mayo, served piping hot, were delicious. Finally, the spicy soup pot arrived, bright red and quite spicy, just the way I like it! The tsukune was also tender and tasty. I also tried the Kochi Buntan soda and the grilled chicken skewers made with Yamato-nadeshi chicken. The chicken breast and skin skewers were really good. The spiciness of the soup pot got me hooked, so I added more vegetables. The yam tempura with green onions and seaweed was a great recommendation. The Yamanashi-Nagano white peach grated soda was also delicious. For dessert, I had ice cream to cool down. It was a fun experience trying out the unique menu items at this restaurant!

I went to a izakaya called Toriichizu a little north of Shinjuku Nishiguchi. I started with a non-alcoholic beer and ordered some appetizers - avocado cheese salad, fried potatoes, and deep-fried grated yam. The deep-fried yam was particularly delicious with its crispy exterior and soft interior. For the main dish, I had a spicy hot pot with chicken meatballs and vegetables in a spicy broth. It was quite spicy and perfect for those who love heat. I also ordered some chicken dishes - seared chicken liver and chicken tenderloin with wasabi. They were juicy and flavorful. I finished with some skewers - chicken meatball with wasabi, plum and shiso, and chicken breast and skin with grated daikon and ponzu sauce. Everything was delicious, especially the chicken breast and skin skewer. Overall, it was a great izakaya experience with tasty food.

This year's most shocking dish (personally) is "sukiyaki". Eating sukiyaki outside is completely different from eating sukiyaki at home. A friend informed me that you can also eat sukiyaki at izakaya (Japanese pub) restaurants. So, we decided to go to an izakaya in Shinjuku to try it out. The restaurant seemed ordinary at first, but surprisingly it was packed with customers. The prices were unbelievably cheap, making every dish a great deal. We enjoyed dishes like octopus sashimi, salad, and the main dish, sukiyaki, which had a smooth and flavorful soup. We also had plenty of drinks, enjoying the affordable prices. It was a happy night filled with laughter and delicious food.

【Shinjuku】Master's Dream - The Cheapest Price!? Enjoying Yamato Chicken Tataki and Hot Pot at Tori Itto in Nishi-Shinjuku. Located on the 2nd floor of a building near Mōko Tanmen Nakamoto. The place is very popular, so if you don't have a reservation, you might not get in. Let's start with a toast with beer! The Master's Dream beer is only 299 yen, which is surprisingly cheap. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very Japanese. I was tempted by the Yamato Chicken Chicken Sashimi and Chicken Prosciutto, but for the true taste of chicken, go for the Yamato Chicken. I love chicken tataki, it's so refreshing. I used to have it for lunch a lot at my previous workplace. The wasabi soy sauce goes perfectly with it! The Karashi Renkon is a must-try, with mustard stuffed in lotus root holes and deep-fried. It's a happiness to enjoy it freshly made. It was quite spicy! Definitely go for the Mizutaki hot pot. Even in summer, hot pot is a must! You can order it for one person, which is great. The rich soup is the highlight. Once it starts simmering, start with the tsukune, then add vegetables and Yamato Chicken. As always, I feel like drinking up all the soup. I love the soup. I tried changing the taste with spicy soup, and it was delicious. Yamato Chicken is so tasty. I love hot pot! I'm also curious about the tomato hot pot. The price of beer was surprising. It's a wonderful place where you can easily end up drinking too much.

After returning from a trip to Fukuoka, I wanted to sit and relax on the way back from Seibu Shinjuku to my place near Baba Station, so I begged to go eat some Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) that I couldn't have in Fukuoka. I called some highly-rated places but they were all fully booked due to it being 7 PM on a holiday. Eventually, I found a place that had availability. The restaurant also served lunch, so I was familiar with the location and easily arrived. However, the quality of the ground on Kotaki Bridge Street was poor, causing my suitcase to make a loud noise and the tires to wear out. We toasted with a big beam highball and ordered Mizutaki for two people. You can actually order it for one person as well, which I didn't realize until I saw it on the receipt later. The taste was average, with a thin broth similar to shabu-shabu with ponzu sauce. We also ordered additional chicken meat, which had a stronger flavor than the initial chicken. It was quite expensive, so I expected it to be delicious. The chicken breast and skin dish was really tasty, but again, quite pricey. The ramen at the end was not overcooked and had a nice texture, but the soup could have been better. What caught my attention more than the taste or price was the number of elderly men coming out of the adjacent private rooms. Normally, I would finish my highball before leaving, but this time I couldn't stand it and left some behind. Although it's in a building in Shinjuku, the dirty floor all the way to the elevator hall made me wonder if it was also a problem with this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I had a date in Shinjuku♡ I went for drinks with someone I hadn't seen in a while. We chose Toriichizu for our meeting. I made a reservation just in case, and it was a smart move. It seems this place is quite popular, as it was fully booked. I arrived a bit early and checked out the menu. I was intrigued by the large jugs of drinks. Since the yakitori here is said to be delicious, I was having a hard time deciding what to eat. I love yakitori (^-^) My companion arrived on time, and we toasted to our reunion. For food, we ordered tsukune (meatballs) 3 types for 849 yen, sasami (chicken tenderloin) 3 types for 849 yen, kashiwa (chicken thigh) for 299 yen, liver for 299 yen, vegetables like shishito pepper for 149 yen, tomato for 149 yen, and Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) for 1480 yen. We also ordered the Itto Salad for 499 yen, excluding tax. Mizutaki can be ordered per person, so we just ordered one serving. The pot arrived promptly. The collagen-rich broth looked so smooth. The Itto Salad was an interesting mix of tofu, nagaimo (yam), and chicken. It was quite generous, enough for 3 to 4 people. The skewers were all large! We shared them, so we took them off the skewers, but they were all delicious! The sasami was juicy. We ordered a huge jug of additional drinks. Wow, it's heavy! It felt like it could cause tendonitis. It didn't seem to decrease no matter how much we drank... but it did go down eventually. We also ordered more sake. We had a brief discussion about sake. My companion seemed to have a particular brand they didn't like and were practicing drinking it. When we compared, it did have a different taste from the one they had been drinking. Hmm, sake is deep. The good thing about drinking with a small group is that you can have deep conversations, right? We chatted about various things, and before we knew it, 2 hours had passed. The seating here is limited to 2 hours. After that, my companion took me to an interesting place. I can't review the place, but it was a lot of fun. Shinjuku is really enjoyable! If you like Showa-era songs, you might have been there before, I think. I had a great time this day. I got quite drunk, and the way back home was a bit dicey. Luckily, I made it home safely. Be careful not to drink too much.

I felt like eating yakitori, so I visited this place. I have been here before but didn't post about it. I arrived early and was the first customer. It seems that on weekends there is a two-hour time limit, especially if you order a hot pot. This time, I didn't feel like having a hot pot so I ordered normally. The huge beer mug was ridiculously big! It's heavy and not something a fashionable girl would carry, but I can handle it. I ordered a yakitori assortment and three types of tsukune as the main dishes, along with some side dishes like salad. They mentioned that they don't use artificial seasonings, which is great. The tsukune had a strong marinade and was juicy. The yakitori was cooked just right with the right amount of salt, very delicious. The karaage was large in size and stayed hot for a while. Small karaage tend to cool down quickly and become greasy. It was well marinated, with a crispy coating that wasn't too thick. The chicken and avocado salad I added at the end was similar to the initial salad but with added avocado and less quantity, so maybe ordering the initial salad alone would have been better. In any case, I had a delicious and enjoyable time. Thank you for the meal!
