Every day, every day, I search for a dining hall. I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'll go for the fried food lunch at "Western Food Bear" after a long time. When push comes to shove, suddenly craving noodles: stomach, (..next to "Taiwanese Cuisine Enzan"). First, let's ask. "Can you make the noodles firm?"... Come to think of it, I don't remember ever being denied firm noodles when boiling noodles. Let's try it, kind of a supportive/friendly feeling? The restaurant is surprisingly spacious and adheres to social distancing guidelines. It seems like they are taking things seriously. Quite a few customers are coming in one after another. It feels like I'm being liked by the locals... What should I order? When it comes to Chinese cuisine, it's all about the noodles – I love noodles. The menu includes noodle dishes, rice dishes, noodle dishes with soup, noodle dishes without soup, donburi, and fried rice, with four types of menu offerings. Noodle dishes with soup include soy sauce ramen for 650 yen, bean sprout soba for 700 yen, tantanmen for 700 yen, gomoku soba for 700 yen, vegetable tanmen for 700 yen, shrimp wonton noodles for 750 yen, Taiwanese danzai noodles for 750 yen, and beef tendon ramen for 750 yen. Well, I should investigate the soy sauce soup, but it's often simple, and the same goes for gomoku soba. Hmm, it's my first time trying their noodle dishes, so I'm a bit cautious – I tend to choose based on what's safe and what I like? "Shrimp Wonton Noodles – firm noodles, and also some dumplings, please." It's nice that you can add dim sum to your lunch set. There are many regular customers here (from their conversations). "Shrimp Wonton Noodles and dumplings." The noodles have a Chinese feel that doesn't seem very Japanese. They are thick noodles with low water content, completely opaque – not translucent at all. Slurp, munch. Hmm, it's not bad. The noodles don't taste bad. The texture is halfway between soft and firm. The texture of the noodles suggests a simple and quick cooking method – firm noodles. It seems like the flavor of the flour itself doesn't quite match. The filling of the wonton is ordinary, not bad. The skin is somewhat chewy and has a good texture. I don't expect much from the dumpling skin. Hmm, the taste of the skin is just okay. The flavor of the wonton skin is better, but maybe they are made by different places. There is a difference in flavor between the two. The soup is not that great, but it's not bad either. It's not so bad that I would say "yuck." What's with this reception? There aren't many customers, but they keep coming in one after another... It's good that they are being supported by customers, whether they are Japanese or Taiwanese. Bon appétit!
