Ogawa-cho "Hachimaru Side B" Bar - Akaboshi would be nice too
Hello! Lately, there have been many articles about Kanda, but there is no special meaning behind it. It's just that we are in the mood for "Kanda once again" and we are going bar hopping with our master. We have walked through drinking districts all over Japan, but Kanda really stands out! There are so many great shops that catch your eye as you walk by. For example, this place "Hachimaru". While on our way to the long-established "Mimasuya" in Awajicho, we always keep our senses sharp and look out for interesting shops. After passing by once, both my master and I react like, "Didn't that place look good!?" (laughs) So, why not start with a quick stop at a standing bar this time. This is my first visit to this place. Exciting! The menu includes, well, Suntory for draft and...oh! I see Akaboshi in the fridge. How nice, I'll have a Sapporo Lager please. I never expected to find Akaboshi at a bar I randomly walked into! I heard that the owner is a fan of Akaboshi. Even the staff members drink Akaboshi in their private time. If the area sales manager is reading this, you should check it out! (laughs) For snacks, the friendly young waitress recommended namero (minced fish). Yes, it's a bar but having namero with Akaboshi feels just like a casual pub. Akaboshi disappears quickly when shared between the two of us. My master chose a Chardonnay white wine. It has a decent acidity and mineral taste, with a nice balance. For snacks, how about putting a variety of dishes on a plate? That's the suggestion. Sounds good, I think this kind of customer service that offers suggestions is considerate for indecisive customers like me. Western-style kimpira, tomato with olives, and tuna salad are served. The tomato is especially good, I'd like to order this again next time, so let's make it a feature☆ That's the plan. Lasagna caught my eye on the counter, it looks very appealing. It's our first stop so it's okay to have a little bit, right? Lasagna is a carb dish, but it goes well with wine. A rich meat sauce, flat pasta, and plenty of cheese make it like a mille-feuille. We quickly finished the bottle of white wine. The pace of the first drink is always too fast (bitter smile). Now, a full-bodied red wine in a glass... Glass wines are around 600 yen. Highballs and draft beers are around 500 yen, and with one dish and two drinks, you get change from 2000 yen. You can enjoy standing at the bar counter, but chairs are also available if you want to sit down and have a proper meal. It's a nice atmosphere, so it's great for OL ladies working in the Kanda area, as well as solo male customers. It's convenient for a quick drink before moving on to the next place. Well, the night in Kanda is still young. Let's start climbing the ladder. Thanks for the meal.
