Three of us, who love good ice cream, finally made it to Blue Seal Ice Cream, a place we've been wanting to visit for a long time! It's a bit far from home, so we couldn't go there easily. I wish it was closer so I could stop by on my way back from work. I think I've tried Blue Seal Ice Cream at a Ginza or Yurakucho location or maybe at the Okinawa antenna shop, but I can't remember what flavor I had. Anyway, since we're here, let's go for a double scoop. I don't want to get too greedy and confuse my taste buds with a triple scoop, so I think a double is just right. I'll have a double junior size waffle cone with salt cookie and Okinawan sweet potato cheesecake, please! The salt cookie, said to be the most popular, was a definite choice. For the second flavor, I wanted something that represents Okinawa, so I chose the Okinawan sweet potato cheesecake. The salt cookie had small pieces of salty cookie inside the ice cream, which was irresistible for a cookie lover like me. If only the spoon was made of cookie, I could enjoy it until the last bite. The Okinawan sweet potato cheesecake, on the other hand, was chosen simply because I like cheesecake. I didn't really taste the sweet potato, but the finely chopped cheese inside added a nice texture. Both flavors were delicious! We went around 3 p.m. on a weekday and the place was not crowded, which was nice. Surprisingly, there were many male customers. It's easy for a man to come in alone, I guess. I didn't get any special treatment, but I noticed that the regular customers who came later were offered samples of the limited-time flavors, which was a bit disappointing. However, the unique deliciousness of Blue Seal Ice Cream makes me want to come back again to try other flavors. If I go there multiple times, they might offer me some samples too...
