This place in Ueno is known for its miso sauce grilled skewers, with high-quality meat that you can enjoy without worries. The cost performance is amazing! The popular shirokoro skewers allow you to compare the taste of miso, salt, and sauce, making it enjoyable. I ordered a platter of 5 skewers all with miso sauce (as this restaurant is known for its miso sauce). The negima skewers were fantastic, with tender green onions and crispy chicken skin skewers. The complimentary cabbage with meat miso dip was delicious. The wagyu kalbi skewers, garlic chive liver skewers, and tsukune cheese were all delicious. The wagyu kalbi skewers were particularly tasty. The tsukune had cartilage in it, making it almost like a hamburger. The portions were generous and the lively atmosphere in Ueno was enjoyable.

Before I knew it, I was sitting in front of the shop. - They served cabbage miso as a complimentary dish. The miso was delicious. - The white pork skewer had a rich sauce that was tasty. I like a strong sauce when eating offal. - The salted pork belly was flavorful and juicy, even though it was small and cheap. - It's a shame they only had cold Oolong tea. I wanted something warm to drink. It's cheap, close to the station, and easy to find. I'll definitely go back. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

There are days when they don't have fresh ingredients, but this restaurant is known for its delicious meat dishes like raw liver, raw heart, and harami. They also offer all-you-can-drink, and you can even enjoy all-you-can-drink Hoppy! I tried the following dishes at this great deal restaurant: cabbage appetizer, harami sashimi, heart skewers, tongue skewers, harami skewers, fried horse mackerel, motsu nabe, Korean seaweed rice balls. The cabbage was delicious with their special miso paste, and the skewers were amazing with their green onion salt. I recommend trying the skewers with salt and green onion salt. It's also nice that they offer individual servings for the hot pot.

The first floor of the shop is centered around the counter and is quite small. There are also outdoor table seats where you can drink. Since we had a large group this time, we sat on the second floor at a table seat. The second floor is quite spacious. It was a shame that smoking was allowed inside the store... It's bearable if it's electronic cigarettes, but it's tough to sit at a table behind someone smoking regular cigarettes. The menu was surprisingly cheap! If you're going for yakitori, the exterior of the restaurant may look ordinary, but it's a recommended spot. I recommend it!

Exploring under the guardrail, even though I don't drink alcohol, I love going to bars. Today, I had a drinking party in Ueno with alcohol drinkers and non-drinkers. We started with cabbage appetizers, dipped in spicy miso and green onion sauce to prepare our stomachs. The simmered beef tongue had large cuts that were very tender and well-cooked, although it was a bit lukewarm, maybe because it took a while to be served. The vegetable wraps were filled with garlic chives, enoki mushrooms, and hearty pork, seasoned with strong salt and pepper which was delicious. Initially, I thought it was too salty, but the strong flavor of the garlic chives and the mildness of the enoki mushrooms balanced it out well. It was juicy and impossible to bite through in one go, so I savored each bite of the garlic chives and enoki mushrooms. The tomato bacon wraps were surprisingly tasty, even though I'm not a fan of cherry tomatoes. When grilled, cherry tomatoes are sweet. I knew this but it was a nice reminder of how delicious they can be. I only had the liver skewer and gave the rest to my companion. The liver was grilled to a strong flavor but remained tender. Once again, I realized that the Ueno area offers great value for money.

I came to Ueno Park to see the cherry blossoms. They weren't in full bloom yet, but still very beautiful. After enjoying the cherry blossoms, I moved to Ameyoko for lunch. Usually, there are many Asian tourists in Ameyoko, but due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, there were hardly any foreigners around. This decrease in inbound tourists must be a big blow to the restaurants and souvenir shops. I felt like eating yakitori, so I was lured into a restaurant by the staff calling out front. Inside the restaurant, it was just us. Maybe because of the coronavirus. We were served cabbage as a starter for 100 yen each, and we enjoyed it with miso and negi shio dare sauce on the table. I ordered a plate of 5 skewers (salt) for 450 yen, and my companion ordered tsukune cheese yaki for 180 yen, pork belly (tare) for 90 yen, chicken thigh (salt) for 90 yen, and grapefruit juice for 290 yen. Everything was delicious. We also added chicken karaage for 380 yen. Yum, it was tasty. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, and everything felt great. It was probably because it was not crowded. Hopefully, the coronavirus situation improves soon, and customers come back.

I came to Ameyoko in Ueno for shopping on the weekend. It was less crowded than usual, probably due to the influence of the coronavirus. After finishing shopping, I wandered around looking for a place to drink. I usually look for places near Okachimachi, but since it was less crowded, I came to Ueno. I entered this place under the guardrail near Ueno Station soon. It is a shop mainly focusing on grilled pork tongue. First, I ordered a White Hoppy Set for 490 yen, and Nak for 210 yen. The appetizer was cabbage for 100 yen. For food, I had Octopus Kimchi for 350 yen, Harami for 90 yen, Tsukune for 90 yen, and Nankotsu for 90 yen. The skewers were priced at 90 yen each. The Octopus Kimchi was not boiled octopus but raw octopus type. The skewers were well-prepared even though they were priced at 90 yen. The Nankotsu was crunchy and delicious. It was nice to be able to drink slowly in a quiet restaurant. However, I hope the coronavirus situation will settle down soon...

At the second stop of my wander in Okachimachi, I visited a restaurant with about 6 counter seats and 3 tables on the first floor, with an additional second floor. There were around 4 staff members working. I ordered a Hoppy (black) for 490 yen, with 3 additional servings (medium) for 210 yen each. The ice was made with an ice maker and the shochu was of unknown brand, with a ratio of 1 external to 4 medium. The appetizer was cabbage. For the assorted skewers, I had 5 pieces for 450 yen, including liver, heart, gizzard, chicken thigh, and green onion with salt. The recommended option was to put the table-side green onion sauce on top. The skewers were cooked well, with good meat quality and a decent size. I also tried the spicy stew for 350 yen, made with red cartilage and tofu, seasoned with Korean chili peppers for a fragrant and delicious taste. Overall, the place had a cozy atmosphere with a counter for solo diners and also offered cold noodles on the menu.

I visited this restaurant for the first time as I haven't had the chance to go before. The prices for the appetizers and drinks are normal, but the grilled pork tongue is cheap! Only 90 yen per skewer! They also have domestic beef skewers for 298 yen, which I tried and it was delicious! I was guided to a window seat on the second floor. It was lively and bustling. There were many tourists from overseas. Smoking is allowed in all seats. You can drink for a solid 2 hours and then finish right on time.

For dishes, we had green seaweed with ponzu sauce, tongue sashimi, senmai (pork intestine) sashimi, cartilage skewers, tongue skewers, liver skewers, and homemade hormone sausage. The appetizer was cabbage, just like last time, for 100 yen (excluding tax). The miso on the table is delicious, making you want to ask for more cabbage. The tongue skewers seemed to be coated with butter. Personally, I prefer them without butter. The miso alone is enough to enjoy the dishes. There is also green onion salt sauce on the table, which is delicious and complements the skewers well. The green seaweed with ponzu sauce was refreshing and tasty. The homemade hormone sausage was very delicious. I had another serving of cartilage, as it was my favorite. It's nice that they have corn tea mixed drinks available. I tried a sip of my companion's drink, and it didn't taste very alcoholic, so I ordered mine strong. It's better to specify if you want it strong from the beginning. I will definitely visit again!

The restaurant is located in a row of small shops under the railway tracks between Ueno and Okachimachi, with an open layout facing the street. The menu is similar to the Akabane branch, with a focus on casual dining. The sign advertised skewers for 90 yen each, slightly higher than the 80 yen at the Akabane branch. I ordered some cabbage for 100 yen per person, a plate of 5 skewers for 450 yen, and their signature spicy miso dish. The beef tongue stew was a large portion for 480 yen, and I also tried the Korean-style skewers and pork kimchi. The dishes were flavorful but not overly spicy, and the drinks were reasonably priced at 390 yen each. The staff was friendly, and I had a good time chatting with the welcoming staff member outside. Overall, it was a fun and affordable dining experience, with a bill of around 3,000 yen per person for a second round of drinks.

I reserved a non-smoking seat, but when I arrived at the restaurant, there were no non-smoking seats available so I was placed in a smoking seat. It was very smelly.
