On June 30, 2018, I visited this restaurant for the first time with two friends. It is located near the legendary Izakaya "Kanemasa" in Gotanda. The restaurant quickly filled up after opening at 5 pm. The atmosphere is retro and cozy, with a younger crowd compared to Kanemasa. We tried various dishes, including grilled skewers like liver, pork cheek, and tongue, all cooked to perfection. The must-try dish is the beef tendon stew, which is rich and flavorful, served with bread for dipping. The menu also includes fried dishes like garlic toast and quail fry, as well as a delicious vegetable tempura. The highlight was the thinly sliced beef tendon sashimi, which was surprisingly tender and tasty. Overall, the food was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended for a casual dining experience in Gotanda.

Visited after work. Suddenly felt like eating yakitori and drinking Hoppy, so I decided to go to Kinmiya. The deep-fried dishes at this yakitori restaurant are the best, especially the liver cutlet. For someone who loves liver, this is irresistible. The skewers with liver, chicken meatballs, liver, teppo (chicken cartilage), and harami (skirt steak) with balsamic sauce are all incredibly delicious. The harami with balsamic sauce is a must-try specialty dish. Not just the sauce, but the quality of the meat is also top-notch. After my second glass of Hoppy, I switched to lemon sour. The half order of Gotanda gyoza has a strong ginger flavor and is meant to be enjoyed with black vinegar and chili oil, which is the restaurant's style. As someone who usually eats gyoza with vinegar, this was perfect for me. The baked cheese pate de campagne with liver pate baked with cheese on an iron plate enhances the meaty texture of the liver and pairs well with the fragrant cheese. I enjoyed this with a cactus sour. With a total bill of around 3500 yen, you can eat and drink plenty at this delicious and affordable restaurant. Highly recommended.

I visited the popular izakaya PING located about 2-3 minutes walk from Gotanda Station. We arrived around 7:00 pm on a weekday and the place was packed until around 10:00 pm, showing its popularity. The interior has counter seats and table seats, and we were seated at a table for 4 near the entrance since we were a group of 4. They use Premium Malt for their draft beer, and the recommended dish was the motsu (offal) stew. We also ordered crispy salad, liver paste, beef motsu and vegetable green curry, all of which were of high quality and delicious. We tried the Gotanda gyoza, which is a type of gyoza with a lot of ginger. For dessert, we had the veggie potage ramen, which was surprisingly good for an izakaya. The staff were friendly and explained how to eat the dishes. The service was quick and the atmosphere was cozy. There is a smoking area inside for those who smoke. If you're looking for an izakaya in Gotanda, I highly recommend PING!

This is it, The Neo-Popular Izakaya! It exceeded my expectations, it was really great! A welcoming space for everyone - middle-aged men, women, couples, and young people. We made a last-minute reservation and were able to get in, then we waited outside to be seated when a table became available. The foreign female staff member was also very good at her job (laughs). The service was friendly and not pushy, which led us to order more drinks. As a result, we had a delicious and satisfying meal. Thank you very much.

I recently discovered Gotanda and decided to get off the train there again today. I visited "Taishu Sakaba PING," a highly rated establishment in Gotanda. PING is located across from "Kane Masaru," which I was quite impressed with as well. I went on a weekday at 7 pm and the table seats were full, but I managed to find a seat at the counter. The counter has about 10 seats and the tables have about 8 seats. The staff were friendly and energetic. The grilled pork was tender and reasonably priced. The taste didn't have the same impact as Kane Masaru, but the spicy miso was incredibly delicious and addictive. The Tsukupii had a lot of chopped green peppers and a tasty salty flavor. The gyoza (3 pieces) for 350 yen were soft, chewy, and delicious as described on the menu. The draft beer was 600 yen, and the Hoppy set was also 600 yen. I chose Kinmiya Hoppy without hesitation. They know how to serve Hoppy well, and the more you drink, the more they pour. The atmosphere was pleasant, as the name suggests, and I felt comfortable drinking there. The spicy miso was delicious, and Hoppy lovers will be happy with this place. The cost performance was good, and the drinks and food were great. The prices are reasonable, and it seems like there is healthy competition among the establishments in the area. I was impressed by the high level of quality in Gotanda and I definitely want to come back.

A friend recommended this restaurant. The reason for the recommendation is clear, it was delicious and had great value for money. Highly recommended dishes include: Tan-suj, Liver cutlet (tender and juicy!), Garlic chives with liver (the liver is like fried chicken), Fried chicken with special sauce, and Cheese and ham cutlet. With all these dishes, it costs around 2,300 yen per person, very satisfying.

I had been curious about this place for a while. I managed to slip into a seat at the counter by chance when I peeked in. It seems like you can reserve a seat by phone if you arrive within 30 minutes. Even though it was almost full, there was only one person in the hall, so it was quite difficult to find the right timing to place an order. The dishes were all very delicious, especially the harami with balsamic sauce! I definitely want to order this every time. The a la carte dishes seem to have a generous portion, so the skewer menu would be a safe choice for solo dining. I will definitely visit again!

On a rainy Thursday, I thought it would be empty but it was full. The skewers were all delicious, especially the balsamic harami. If I had more time, I would like to try more dishes and they also had good sake. Each skewer was around 100 yen, the service was quick, and I will definitely go back!

After the Levain Cup Cerezo match, when I called for a ride home, I unexpectedly received an order to go eat dinner first! I had no choice but to start a solo reflection session. #BlackHoppy #Cucumber #FriedPotatoes #OnionFries #AppetizerGrilledPorkHalf, first time trying the appetizer grilled pork and it was amazing! I visited this place with a colleague that I was curious about. I was interested in dishes like liver paste, but since it was my first time, I decided to try some skewers. The most delicious one was the salted tsukune. It had a lightly crispy surface and a fluffy texture. Although our stay was short, I was satisfied. I want to try more variety of dishes next time. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

Last night's solo reflection session #BlackHoppy #Cucumber #FriedPotatoes. First stop for solo reflection session. I thought this place had closed because it was closed last Sunday, but it was actually open and doing well! The atmosphere here is as lively as ever. The skewers with spicy miso sauce were still delicious as always. I had a great time exchanging information about izakayas in Gotanda with a regular customer sitting next to me.

It was busy due to it being a Saturday, so I had to wait for a table. I went to another restaurant to eat a little while waiting for a table to open up. I saw this place on social media and decided to visit. The motsu stew, motsu yaki, and vegetable curry were all delicious. I especially went for the vegetable curry and it did not disappoint. I regret eating at the first restaurant because I wanted to try more dishes here. I will definitely visit again next time to try more of their menu.

It's been a while since I've been to PING, but everything I ate and drank was delicious and had great value for money. The baked cheese on top of the pate de campagne for 650 yen was amazing. The cheese was rich and gooey, probably cheddar cheese. It goes well with alcohol. The vegetable salad had dressing that was too delicious. The jagged potato fries were crunchy and delicious. We also had other fried and skewered dishes, but PING was the best.

Bright and cheerful staff, exciting dishes that make you feel happy! The blue "San-daime Lemon Sour", almost all-vegetable potato salad, visually appealing liver and garlic chives, unexpectedly authentic green curry, and more. Enjoyed a fun meal with my family of three! On a day when you're feeling down, try going alone!

I went to the second place. It was around 9:00 PM on Saturday and there were about 2 tables available. The age group was young and the atmosphere was lively. They have a surprisingly wide variety of Japanese sake. I had umesuisho, liver cutlet, pork belly with tomato, and grilled green onion.

The second visit was also greeted warmly, and all the dishes were delicious! They even had recommendations from the staff, which was nice! Plus, almost everything is homemade, which is amazing! The gyoza and potato fries made me nostalgic for my high school days. I want to go back again!

- Beef tongue: 100 yen
- Beef tongue with miso paste: 100 yen
- Liver: 120 yen
- Half-size vegetable pot ramen: 500 yen
* Tax included.
- Highly recommended for those living alone, as it has plenty of vegetables.
- They will ask you about the amount of garlic, but a little bit is a must!
- For women, the half-size ramen for 500 yen is more than enough!
- The chashu pork is huge and delicious.
This place is the best for skewers. When you see 100 yen written, you might think there are mostly 100 yen skewers, right? But PING has almost all my favorite skewers for 100 yen! I mainly go for beef tongue and heart, so I can eat endlessly. I've eaten so much beef tongue here before. Definitely give it a try!

I went to my first izakaya visit of the new year. It's a popular casual bar in Gotanda that I discovered last year. It's great for going alone. They have a green curry made with motsu, which I tried for the first time. It's not the best as a snack, but as a meal to finish with, it was an authentic and delicious green curry. Highly recommended menu item.

After enjoying some wine, I decided to visit "Daisuke Sakaba PING" for a second round. It's about a 4-minute walk from Gotanda Station. Even though it was a weekday, the place was bustling. They have both table and counter seats, and it's quite spacious. I was wondering what "PING" meant, and apparently it stands for "one person." There were solo customers as well as groups. Here's what I ordered:
- White pork intestine sashimi 550 yen
- Liver 120 yen
- Tsukudani (preserved food) 200 yen
- Teppo (grilled chicken cartilage) 120 yen
- Gotanda gyoza 490 yen
- Motsu (offal) stew 550 yen
- Cheese toast 220 yen
- Chicken Karaage 390 yen
Despite being cheap, the food was delicious! The offal was especially good. I also tried the gyoza and cheese toast, which were apparently popular here. The cheese toast was only 220 yen but came in a surprisingly large portion. And the drinks were so cheap! Matcha highball for 300 yen, what a steal! I wonder how much the mega size costs (laughs). The atmosphere was cozy and it's easy to see why this place is popular. Thank you for the meal!

Located about a 2-minute walk from Gotanda Station, "Daisuke Izakaya PING" is situated on a street lined with multiple dining options. I have become a regular customer here because I love everything about it - the menu selection, taste, atmosphere, friendly staff, and great value for money. The restaurant has both counter and table seating, making it convenient for small groups, and even solo diners feel comfortable at the counter. It can get quite crowded, so be mindful of that. The menu mainly consists of yakitori, grilled dishes, fried foods, appetizers, salads, and simmered dishes, offering a wide variety of options.
I have visited this place more than five times and there are still many dishes I haven't tried yet. Some of the recommended dishes include the tender Harami with balsamic sauce, Motsu Stew in a stew-like style, delicious grilled pork, and the impressive Veggie Pot Ramen. Every dish I have tried so far has been delicious, and the prices always surprise me in a good way.
The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the smoking room is also a plus for smokers. Overall, I highly recommend this izakaya near Gotanda Station.
