- - - - - - - ⭐Price: 3⭐Taste: 8⭐Service: 8⭐Atmosphere: 7⭐Cost Performance: 8- - - - - - -Visit on Tabelog: 3.33Located about a 5-minute walk from Hiroo Station towards Ebisu, this cafe is run by Chef Ikai, who has earned a Michelin star at the modern French restaurant on the second floor. This was my second visit. ◆Cannele (400 yen) ◆Financier (Caramel Salt) (300 yen) ◆Financier (Nature) (300 yen) When I visited after a year, the interior had changed slightly. Similar to the restaurant on the second floor, the cafe has a stylish and calming gray-based decor. ○Cannele Made with sustainable powder and using vegetable and fruit scraps from the restaurant on the second floor. Therefore, the taste of the Cannele changes like a "seasonal limited edition" depending on the vegetables used in the restaurant each season. It's an interesting idea. When you savor it, you can taste the gentle flavor of vegetables and fruits. The surface is crispy, and the inside is chewy and delicious. 〇Caramel Salt Salt is sprinkled on the surface, and I could feel the bitterness of caramel. 〇Nature The hazelnut flour (?) flavor is strong, fragrant, and you can taste the ingredients well. The butter flavor is also strong, the surface is slightly crispy, and with each chew, the good aroma of the dough spreads in the mouth, making it delicious. For takeout, they put it in a paper bag. I will visit again as I would like to use it as a souvenir. 【Business Hours】9:00-17:00 【Closed】No regular holidays

Please follow me on Instagram! (^^)/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tokyo_messhi The cafe "BGM," supervised by the Michelin-starred French restaurant "Ode," is a unique cafe that combines both pop and nostalgic elements. The mismatched cutlery and mugs, along with the Cannele served on traditional Japanese tableware, add to the cafe's charm. Here, you can enjoy Cannele made from leftover vegetables and fruits from Ode, as well as the owner's original blend of Ethiopian coffee. The Cannele has a crispy outer texture and a unique flavor profile from the vegetables and fruits inside. The "Espresso Double" pairs well with the coffee's aroma and bitterness, making it a recommended combination.

A cozy and stylish cafe with a small seating area inside and outside. They have a wide variety of drinks on the menu and also offer several types of baked goods like canelés and financiers. The small canelés were very cute. The cups with the cafe's logo were stylish. The café latte was delicious.

I wanted to have a snack but could only get takeout, so I just ordered coffee. I upgraded to oat milk for an extra 100 yen, and the coffee was delicious. The outdoor seating looked child-friendly with space for a stroller. It might be difficult with kids inside since it's counter seating.

I went to a small cafe on the outskirts of Hiroo shopping street for some background music. It was a Sunday morning and there were two groups of customers already there. I sat at the counter seat next to the register, and ordered a drip coffee from Brazil with sustainable powder, along with a canelé. The drip coffee from Brazil was brewed using a hand drip method after I placed my order. There were several types of beans available, so I asked for advice and ended up choosing the Brazilian one. After a short wait, a large cup filled with coffee was served. The Brazilian coffee had a refreshing and clean bitterness, a hint of acidity, and a clean aftertaste. As it cooled down, the acidity became more pronounced. I also tried the canelé with sustainable powder. The canelé was small in size, with a matte chocolate-colored surface and no noticeable aroma. It had a crunchy texture when bitten into, with a slightly thick crust. As I continued eating, the crunchy texture was quite enjoyable. There was a sweetness similar to brown sugar, and the inside had a slightly moist texture with not much alcohol flavor.

I received a canelé from the cafe BGM in Hiroo! As a sister store of "Ode," which opened in December 2020, this cafe has been popular for its freshly brewed delicious coffee, as well as Cuban sandwiches and sweets. While I have visited Ode and BGM for coffee before, I had never tried their canelés, so I was excited to try it. The size was slightly small, around 30g per piece. When I cut it in half, I could see that it was packed inside. From the first bite, the crispy crust was amazing, almost crunchy. The inside was soft and chewy, almost gooey. The sugar sweetness was subtle, with a slightly nutty flavor. The rum in the canelé, which is a key feature, spread a nice aroma in my mouth. I have tried various canelés from famous shops before, but this crunchy texture was a first for me, and the contrast between the crispy outside and the soft inside was spot on. I enjoyed it with black coffee at home, but I believe it would pair perfectly with a gentle and milky flat white or latte as well. I definitely want to try it at the cafe next time. Just like Ode, they focus on sustainability, and the canelé here also incorporates surplus vegetables and fruits from Ode, which are powdered and mixed in. Not only delicious, but also the consideration for the environment and the planet is a wonderful point.

I went out for breakfast at "BGM" in Hiroo. It's a small cafe run by Chef Namai from the modern French restaurant "ode," and it's filled with his attention to detail and quality. I was there for the "Cuban Sandwich," which was made with delicious focaccia bread (I think?) filled with roast pork, cheddar cheese, and homemade pickles. It was so elegant that the guilt of eating a Cuban sandwich seemed to disappear. They also serve a blend of two Ethiopian coffee beans - one natural and one washed - which really lifts your spirits. They are also famous for their sweets like canelés, but that's for another day.

I caught a cold and was stuck at home for a week. My BM kept increasing. Finally, I recovered and decided to go out for the first time in a while. I went to the hospital for a check-up after 3 months. Medical expenses keep going up every year, but one benefit of going to the hospital is being able to eat delicious food in that area. Today, a friend recommended a cafe to me. It's less than a 5-minute walk from the station. It's a warm and pleasant day, but for some reason, I instinctively ordered a cafe latte. There were two options for the type of beans - a fruity original blend and a refreshing Kenyan blend. I don't like strong-tasting coffee, so I chose the Kenyan blend without hesitation. The cafe had a small and cozy interior with beautifully decorated flowers. The cafe latte with cute latte art arrived, served in a heavy and thick cup that looked warm for a long time. The cafe latte went down smoothly. It was mellow yet refreshing, unlike any cafe latte I've had before. I'm not a fan of rich milk, so I don't have a strong attachment to cafe lattes. I usually only order them when I've had too much black coffee. But this one was delicious. Now, going to the hospital has become even more enjoyable.

While exploring the city, I decided to stop by this café. Inside, there were counter seats and a young male staff member was assisting a customer. Since there were no other customers inside, I decided to have a drink. They had brandy cake on display on the counter, but it seemed like they had just sold out of canelés. The kitchen in the back seemed spacious for a coffee shop, and I later learned that they also specialize in sweets from the experience of other customers who came later. The name BGM suggests a focus on music, and indeed, the books placed around were related to music. It was enjoyable to listen to the music playing in the background (U2 and others) and discuss the titles of the books (related to Western music) while waiting. I savored the meticulously brewed drip coffee slowly at my seat. The Blend (650 yen) was a blend of Ethiopian beans using both natural and washed processing methods, resulting in a fruity and clear taste. It had a pleasant aroma and refreshing acidity. The Seasonal Blend (650 yen) was a blend of Kenyan and Tanzanian beans, chosen by my husband for its mild acidity and hints of sweetness. It had a mellow acidity and a smooth taste, making it easy to drink. I had no prior knowledge of this café, but it turned out to be a lovely place. I didn't realize it was a café associated with a famous French restaurant. Apparently, their espresso is also well-known, but I only noticed their drip coffee as I prefer it. The baked goods and food also seem delicious, so I would like to visit again next time for their baked goods, food, and espresso.

I traveled from Ibaraki to Tokyo in an instant. There are no coffee shops near my house, so I have been experiencing coffee withdrawal lately. Yesterday, I had muscle pain and drowsiness from exercising, so I came to this coffee shop. I asked for something refreshing, and I was recommended a coffee from Africa. It was indeed refreshing and woke me up. ✨

Hiroo Cafe Time BGM ▶︎ Michelin star quality cafe! Cafe latte for 650 yen. You can also enjoy pastries like canelé and financiers inside the cafe, which is connected to a studio at the back. The canelé is surprisingly crispy on the outside and has a rich flavor inside, while being light and delicious. Canelé costs 400 yen and financier costs 300 yen. It's great that you can buy them individually. However, the seating is limited with only 4 high counter seats, 2 low chair seats, and 3 terrace seats. Pets are allowed inside, so it's a cozy cafe where locals often gather for a relaxing time with their furry friends.

On December 24, 2020, a new bakery serving coffee and pastries opened next to the French restaurant Ode in Hiroo. They offer original coffee and sustainable baked goods. Their signature coffee blend consists of 50% natural coffee beans that retain the fruit of the coffee cherry and 50% washed beans for a clear flavor. In addition to espresso and cafe latte, they also offer a coffee style popular in Australia and New Zealand called "Long Black". The baked goods, including sustainable Canelé made from vegetable scraps and other treats like financiers, chocolate cookies, and brandy cake, are all baked in-store. They also serve a Cuban sandwich with roast pork, cheddar cheese, and homemade pickles on focaccia, as well as a vegan curry made with 8 types of spices and vegetable base. The flavors are rich and satisfying. Address: 5-1-31 Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Date of visit: Wednesday. Number of people waiting: 0. Wait time: 0 minutes. Items ordered: Long Black Ice (550 yen), Brandy Cake (550 yen), Canelé (400 yen).

I heard that the canelés here are delicious, so I decided to visit. The interior of the shop was quite small and unfortunately, it was full, so I got a canelé and a latte to go. The latte had a strong coffee flavor that I enjoyed. As for the canelé I had high expectations for, it exceeded the typical crispy texture, being more crunchy. The inside was not just moist, but almost gooey, with a hint of banana flavor. It was on the smaller side, but it was my kind of canelé.

<Usage> On a holiday at 3:00 pm, I casually walked in alone and the shop was quiet. The weather is nice today, so the terrace seats are great. <Ordered Items> - Espresso Tonic (600 yen): I ordered this for takeout! It's a slightly bitter coffee tonic with a refreshing lime flavor and acidity, perfect for the summer! Highly recommended for when you're tired from a walk. - Canelé (400 yen): It's like a cookie on the outside with a moist and crispy texture, but the inside is soft and gooey. This was my first time trying a canelé and it was amazing!

You can tell how delicious the café latte is in just one sip. The smooth foam texture and rich sensation as it goes down your throat. Ahh, the taste that makes you sigh. The financiers are moist and chewy. I like it when they serve it on a proper plate. The plate is a beautiful Japanese-style dish with a sparkling pine design. It has a hint of salt. So delicious. I finished it all in one go. Ah, it was so tasty. It may be a bit pricey at 300 yen, but isn't this financier at the highest level for a café treat? Café latte 650 yen. Financier caramel salt 300 yen. Total payment amount 950 yen. Thank you for the meal. The price matches the quality. It's not cheap, but it's worth the value at this price. It was enjoyable. This café is a place I'd love to visit if there's a seat available around here.

I have always wanted to visit "BGM COFFEE & VIBES". It's a cafe where the baked goods and coffee, created by the French restaurant "ode" in Hiroo, are delicious. It's so lovely that I almost don't want to share it. I ordered a Flat White and a Canele. A recommended way to enjoy them is to dip the Canele in the Flat White - the slightly bitter Canele complements the gentle steamed milk of the Flat White. When I visit Hiroo again, I will definitely look forward to enjoying delicious coffee and great BGM. ✨

A café in Hiroo. Visited for lunch on a weekday. Managed by the French restaurant "Ode" in Hiroo. The café has seating for 2 at the counter, seating for 1 at the counter, a 2-person bench, and a 2-person table outside. The "Canelé" (400 yen) is vanilla flavored. The outside is crispy and hard, while the inside is quite rare and juicy. Various vegetables used at Ode are being reused as sustainable powder. The "Café Latte Hot" (650 yen) is fluffy and mellow. Standing out in the midst of the resurging Canelé boom.

Cafe [BGM] A stylish cafe in Hiroo run by a Michelin-starred French chef. I visited this cafe recommended for its delicious canelés. Located in Hiroo, just off the Hiroo shopping street towards Ebisu, next to ode. The cafe is small with a few seats available for dining in. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service, as mentioned in other reviews. This time, I tried the recommended sustainable canelé to go. The canelé has a crispy exterior and a moist interior, with colorful specks inside made from leftover vegetables, giving it a unique texture. It is named sustainable for this reason. While Tokyo has many canelé shops, the canelé from this Michelin-starred French cafe was also delicious!

Hiroo Cafe. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Hiroo Station. A Michelin one-star French restaurant called 'Ode' opened a cafe right next to it in December 2020. I went there on a Sunday after 5 pm. There were 3 customers already there. The cafe has one seat by the wall + counter seats inside, and one table outside. They seem to specialize in canelés, but since I was just killing time until dinner, I had a quick cup of coffee. I ordered a hot cafe latte (600 yen). I started sitting at the counter, but then moved to the seat by the wall when it became available. The wall seat felt private and cozy. There were various books placed on the table. Food magazines, art magazines, hair & culture magazines...you can explore a lot of diversity. The cafe latte was delicious, and the staff were friendly. Hiroo didn't seem to have many notable cafes, so this one seems quite handy. Thank you for the meal! ✨

A small, cozy and delicious cafe near the station! Although a bit pricey, their baked goods are excellent and highly recommended. I visited on a weekday before 5 pm and there were no other customers at that time. The cafe has only a few seats but I was able to sit down easily. [What I had] Flat White ¥650 Canelé ¥400 Brandy Cake ¥500 Financier (caramel and plain) each ¥300 It may seem a bit expensive if you don't know it's a Michelin one-star restaurant, but the food is truly delicious. Especially the Canelé. It's crispy on the outside and juicy inside. This might be the best Canelé I've ever had. It's quite small so it may seem overpriced, but I would definitely buy it again. The staff were also very friendly, making it a pleasant place to spend time. Thank you for the meal!

Hiroo's BGM cafe. This is a new cafe opened by the famous French restaurant Ode. It is located right next to Ode, so it is easy to find. I wanted to know what kind of style it is, so it was my first visit. It is a small shop with seating for about 4-5 people. You can also get takeout. It's a place to enjoy some baked goods and coffee. I tried two types of baked goods and an iced cafe au lait. The canelé had a moist texture with a hint of liquor, and the contrast with the outer texture was delicious. The bakery cake was rich and packed with flavor, especially when paired with seasonal jam. The coffee was also delicious, making it a great tea time. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy, so I would like to visit again. It's a good place to relax and unwind. Thank you for the delicious meal.
