Every year, it has become a daily routine for me to eat this spicy noodles from Hidaka-ya. This season, I haven't gotten tired of it even once! The perfect level of saltiness and spiciness goes well with rice. I don't worry about combining carbohydrates if I chew well. The staff at this Hidaka-ya is friendly♪

I sit at the counter as prompted. When I made a mistake and accidentally ordered two bottles of beer instead of one, the waiter handled it smoothly by getting the extra bottle without opening it. I was impressed by his perfect customer service. I forgot to take a picture, but I came here today because I wanted to eat gyoza. The veteran waitress here is always busy but handles everything perfectly. She must be an employee. It's impressive how she handles everything so well.

After a heavy day of work, I went down to Asagaya for dinner and had a drink at Ichibankan on Pearl Road. I was supposed to head back to Hidaka-ya, which Google Maps showed as being under the station guard, but when I got there, I was surprised to find that the east side underpass of JR Asagaya Station had turned into a trendy shopping street. In one corner, I found Hidaka-ya. Upon entering, I saw not only middle-aged men like myself, but also female office workers dining alone in partitioned seats. Some were even enjoying gyoza with a beer in hand. It's great. Recently, city Chinese restaurants have become popular among women as well. This stylish Hidaka-ya seems very user-friendly. Now, I decided to have another drink here. I ordered cold sake for 380 yen and yakitori for 180 yen. Ah, the quality is high... The yakitori even tasted better. I was in a great mood. While relaxing and looking at my smartphone, my drink ran out and so did my snacks. I then ordered the vegetable-rich tantanmen with less noodles for 490 yen. The vegetable-rich tantanmen had a slightly salty and rich flavor. Overall, this restaurant is a bit slow with delivery. Also, after eating the tantanmen, I realized that the cook might not be experienced yet. The vegetables were crisp and not bad, but something about the flavor didn't quite fit, and the noodles felt a bit undercooked. All the staff were Japanese, which may be the reason. Foreign staff members often have high skill levels due to frequent shifts. The Asagaya branch of this stylish restaurant may still have room for improvement in terms of resources. However, this branch has its own good points. It is located in a JR shopping area, so you can earn JRE points. I paid with my JRE VIEW Suica card and received a lot of points. I usually use PayPay or Rakuten Pay at Hidaka-ya, but I was happy to earn more points with JRE when dining at a JR-affiliated tenant. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I was surprised to eat liver and leek stir-fry for the first time at Hidakaya! This is delicious! It tastes like home-cooked food! Not greasy, not too salty. Places like Yoshinoya, or other set meal restaurants, have flavors that are too strong, greasy, and taste artificial, so I don't find them very delicious. Sometimes they cause indigestion, and the meat is dry, so I thought I'd rather just buy ready-made dishes from the supermarket. But Hidakaya is different! Come to think of it, you don't see many elderly people at chain set meal restaurants, but at Hidakaya, you do. So, I interpret that the ingredients are gentle on the stomach even for the elderly. I have a weak stomach, and when I eat set meals at typical chain restaurants, I get indigestion from the greasiness. But here, it's fine. I used to like Osho's Tenshinhan, but I stopped going there because it always gave me indigestion. The Tenshinhan at Hidakaya is amazing and to my liking. It has a tangy flavor and is really delicious! Not greasy at all. And most importantly, the rice inside is pure white. Tenshinhan often has fried rice inside, but here it's plain white rice, light and just right. The egg is properly included in the filling. The flavor is natural, not artificial, delicious, and wonderful!! No indigestion after eating. The tangy taste stimulates the appetite. The portion is quite large, but I finished it! I like sour flavors, so I added vinegar at the end. It's sweet and sour, but not that weird sweetness like in sweet and sour pork. As someone who dislikes sweet things, I found it really delicious! The balance of sweet and sour was just right. Really the best! I would actually give it a 4.8 rating. However, the fried rice that my partner ordered was a bit salty. But it was good that it wasn't greasy! Fried rice at chain restaurants is usually greasy, but this one isn't. It's a bit disappointing that it's slightly salty. Also, the soup was too salty, too concentrated. I diluted it with water from the table and it tasted good. My partner's vegetable-packed Tanmen, there were really a lot of vegetables! Not too salty! The flavor is not artificial at all. I think Hidakaya is a place where even people living alone can go every day, as it's good for the body and has a moderate amount of salt. That's why you can eat until the end without getting tired. I think it's a wonderful thing that the salt content is just right. I used to dislike chain set meal restaurants, but Hidakaya is exceptional! I want people who dislike chain restaurants or set meal restaurants to visit this place. Moreover, the Asagaya branch is freshly made, clean, and has a beautiful interior, making it easy for women to enter. The liver and leek stir-fry is not too salty. It tastes like your mother made it. At this price, it's affordable for people who find it troublesome to cook for themselves living alone, and it's not greasy, so it seems good for the body. Wonderful! The Tenshinhan is really light, tangy, and delicious! Fantastic! I hope this menu continues to be available as it's one of my favorite dishes. So far, it's by far the best chain set meal restaurant for me! (I don't go to set meal restaurants much, so this may not be very helpful) The price of 500 yen is unbelievable. The cost performance is definitely a 5. I don't like family restaurants much and hardly go, but if I do, I like Bamiyan. That's the only place that tastes good. So, I was really happy to find a set meal restaurant that I like. The second photo is the vegetable-packed Tanmen. It's after my partner ate more than half, so there are even more vegetables in reality. I was surprised!

I went to Hidaka-ya Beans Asagaya Tekute Store, just a 1-minute walk from Asagaya Station in Tokyo, and had the Black Vinegar Cold Noodles with Gyoza for 760 yen. I was surprised to find out that it had changed from Shofu, a ramen restaurant I used to go to. It seems that the store has been open for about 2 months now. It was around 3 PM and the restaurant was about 40% full. I ordered using the touch panel and received the gyoza in about 10 minutes, followed by the cold noodles in about 5 minutes. The cold noodles had ingredients like shredded egg, ham, crab sticks, seaweed, and pickled ginger. I wish there were cucumbers, but considering the price, I can't complain. The portion of noodles was quite generous. The gyoza, which I have been eating since my days as an office worker, was delicious and I finished it all. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a newly opened Hidakaya restaurant. It is a casual chain restaurant where you can easily drop by. There were quite a few customers on a weekday around 7 pm. I tried the regular size of Chuka Soba (tax excluded 355 yen), but I felt like the half size (200 yen including tax) might be a better deal. The regular size didn't have as much volume as I expected. The soup had a strong bonito flavor. The noodles were also flavorful. Overall, it was delicious. The chashu pork had a cheap taste to it.

There was a Nissin-Ya near Asagaya Station. I wonder if this is where the famous ramen shop "Hashi to Renge" used to be? I decided to go in and ordered the Chuka soba for 390 yen, but since I wasn't very hungry, I also ordered some gyoza for 230 yen. The interior of the restaurant was bright and clean. There were a lot of staff members, which was nice to see. The person at the entrance was a foreigner and their Japanese was a bit lacking. I hope they keep trying. The gyoza was decent, nothing special. It's a good place to stop by when you're feeling a bit peckish in the future.
