(Prologue... Unforgettable Town) Since I couldn't book my usual favorite inn in Asakusa, I decided to stay here this time. It's located a little south of the Kaminarimon Gate. There's a free shuttle bus available to and from Ueno Station, which is very convenient for traveling. The room is quite old and has a unique layout, but it is well-maintained. The breakfast can be enjoyed in the lobby in front of the front desk. It may be a bit cramped during peak hours, so it's best to avoid those times. Personally, I felt that the side dishes were a bit lacking, but the taste was average. (Summary... Convenient for various uses) This place is conveniently located for general sightseeing in Asakusa, and it's also close to the Oedo Line and Toei Line, making it convenient for visiting Ryogoku or the Skytree. It might be a good idea to alternate between this place and the two nearby stores near Asakusa Chitsuka Tsukuba Express and Ueno Tawaramachi Station.

I stayed at Toyoko Inn, which offers free breakfast service. I booked two single rooms for a weekday stay when other business hotels in the city were fully booked. The breakfast is served from 7 to 9 am, and by 7:30, about 70% of the guests were business people. The breakfast consisted of two types of rice balls, a hearty miso soup, and simmered beans. It was a simple breakfast, but the hearty miso soup was particularly delicious and satisfying.
