On September 12, 2023 (Tuesday), today we had a unique adventure with 4 people. Unfortunately, our friend who was with us until yesterday, ○○, is down with a slight fever. We feel sorry for her, but sorry, we are going to enjoy Tsukiji to the fullest. Excited about our first visit to Tsukiji, me and my partner, along with Tetchan and Ciel, are being guided around as if it's a normal thing. First, as a warm-up, we ended up at a shop that surprisingly deals with seafood from Kochi. I wonder if my partner will be satisfied here? It's just a regular fish market, but you can eat inside the shop. This is getting me all pumped up. While browsing for what to eat inside the shop, my partner eagerly went to the complex back area to get some beer. Sorry, sorry, actually there was beer at the seafood company next door! Cheers (*´︶`*)ﾉ♬ It's time for our customary morning drink. Delicious. With this group, it's easy to make the usual comment, right? Cheers! Negitoro roll ♬ This taste is unbelievable. All four of us are satisfied with the flavor. Bonito tataki ♬ There's a special sauce placed on the table, and it's incredibly tasty! Ciel and Tetchan agree, and my partner from Nankoku City also gives it a thumbs up for its deliciousness. And the best part is, this place doesn't have touristy prices, which is amazing. Visit date: July 9, 2023 (Sunday) Third stop of Tsukiji food tour! I was craving tuna, so I decided to stop by this shop where you can easily enjoy a few pieces. I ordered 2 pieces of lean tuna for 400 yen, 2 pieces of medium fatty tuna for 500 yen, and 2 pieces of premium fatty tuna for 600 yen. They also had a set of 3 different pieces to try! Since I'm not a fan of too much fat, I opted for the lean tuna and medium fatty tuna, paid with PayPay, and waited at the standing counter inside the shop. The sushi was ready pretty quickly and I received my order. The lean tuna and medium fatty tuna were served on styrofoam trays. They weren't too big in size. I poured some soy sauce from the provided dispenser and started with the lean tuna. The lean tuna was good, not too big in size but had a nice flavor. It wasn't as strong in taste as the tuna I had in Shiogama, which was more flavorful. It was delicious, but considering the cost, it felt a bit pricey. Next up was the medium fatty tuna. It looked similar to the lean tuna, so I wasn't expecting much. However, it was surprisingly delicious! The balance between the lean tuna flavor and the sweetness of the fat was really good. If you're willing to spend 400 yen on lean tuna, I highly recommend spending 500 yen on the medium fatty tuna. I didn't dare to try the premium fatty tuna as I assumed it would have even more fat than the medium fatty tuna. There was a wall with a painting depicting the different parts of a tuna, which was interesting. Thank you for the meal! If I come back next time, I would definitely want to try the medium fatty tuna again.

The bonito tataki grilled over straw is exquisite, but the grilled chicken, negitoro, and kamaboko are also delicious.

The entrance to the shrimp-only tank may not be suitable for those who are not fans of shrimp. It is called "Semi Ebi." I recommend avoiding searching for images of this and the "Uchiwa Ebi" which I previously wrote about at the "Nagasaki Prefecture Fishery Association Tokyo Direct Sales Office." This store is located inside the "Nippon Fish Market" in Tsukiji outside the market. During lunchtime, delicious sushi is lined up. On this day, the main dish was tuna sushi. The "Tuna Sushi" (¥1,600/2 packs) - I think it was 10 pieces. I ate it with scallops I bought from another store. Although Kochi is known for bonito, they also have a lot of bluefin tuna catches. But this doesn't seem to be bluefin tuna. The staff was a bit vague, but as long as it's delicious, the name doesn't matter. It comes in a pack and can be eaten as is. Delicious. Eat it with soy sauce. Delicious. It's so fresh that it tastes delicious no matter how you eat it. The meat is thick and good. The vinegar was a bit sweet, maybe it's a local specialty. I like Tosazu vinegar, but I wasn't sure if that's what it was. Very satisfied. Thank you for the meal. This store also sells various seafood products from Kochi Prefecture. I was very interested in the thick and thin slices of "Souda Bonito," but I passed this time. I'm too unfamiliar with the market price.
