Around Ueno Station, I was debating whether to adjust my time after having a morning drink. I hypothesized that a bakery would be open in the morning, and it turned out to be true. I imagined that they cater to customers looking for breakfast options or travelers in need of a meal for their journey. I decided to buy "Edamame Focaccia" for 320 yen and a dessert-like "Setoda Lemon Cake" for 200 yen to take home for lunch. I used tongs and a tray, paid with an OCR register using my transportation IC card, and remembered to use my old Japan Railways point card. I chose to use the environmentally-friendly paid plastic bag for the chain's promotion while on the Yamanote Line. At home, I debated between red wine and craft beer, ultimately choosing red wine. The "Edamame Focaccia" had a strong visual presence of edamame but didn't necessarily need to be paired with beer. The "Setoda Lemon Cake" served as a delightful dessert, and I learned that both Andersen and the bakery are based in Hiroshima for the first time.

I wandered around Ueno. I realized I didn't have bread for tomorrow morning, so I stopped by. I bought two sandwiches with three different fillings for about 900 yen. It was a bit pricey, but they were delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On May 13th, Andersen's pastries can now be found not only in Ueno Station but also at major train stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Although the prices are a bit high, the delicious taste of their pastries and the satisfaction they bring make many customers return for more. While I personally come from the same town where Andersen's originated, I find it a bit expensive to buy their pastries regularly, such as their curry bread which costs around 300 yen each. One of their popular items is the Parisian sandwich (priced around 550 yen), which is a baguette filled with ham, cheese, lettuce, and a delicious sauce that perfectly balances the flavors. The crispy exterior and fluffy interior of the baguette, combined with the fresh ingredients and delightful aroma, create a truly satisfying experience. The volume, texture, crunchiness, and aroma of this sandwich all contribute to a moment of happiness that stimulates all the senses. It's simply irresistible. I will definitely be a repeat customer for this. This unique taste cannot be found in regular sandwich bread.

I returned to Japan in the morning and headed to Ueno, where I had breakfast inside Ueno Station. I chose a meat sauce croque-monsieur and a curry bun. It was a bit disappointing that they were a little cold, but the bread was delicious. The restaurant seemed to have many foreign customers, probably because it was located in Ueno.

There is a bakery right near the Ueno station exit. Around 8:30 PM, there weren't many types of bread left. On my first visit, I bought the Milk France. It is a slightly hard bread with lots of sweet milk cream inside, which tends to spill out as you eat it.

Andersen Ueno store is a bit special among Andersen's locations! They have exclusive breads only available at the Ueno store, and they also have panda-themed bread which is fun! I often buy the Milk France bread here. Everything I buy is delicious, so I also occasionally purchase the British bread for breakfast. It's convenient being close to the ticket gate. Thank you for the delicious food as always!

The cherry blossoms at Ueno Park were in full bloom near the entrance, absolutely beautiful. Finally, we were able to enjoy hanami. There were still many buds inside the park, but with the warm weather, they might be in full bloom by now. On the way back from Ueno, I went to buy some bread. When you think of Ueno, you think of pandas, so I chose panda-themed bread: cream panda cream bread, ichigo otome strawberry croissant, white chocolate and lemon muffin. They were cute and delicious. I can't resist limited edition items.

There is a bakery located just outside the central ticket gate of JR Ueno Station. They have a seating area where you can enjoy coffee for 330 yen or iced coffee for 330 yen (excluding tax). You can also buy bread from the store and enjoy it easily. Thank you for the meal.

On a Saturday evening in March 2023, I visited a restaurant that had listed a bread assortment for 680 yen on the food rescue app "tabete," which I had been curious about for some time. I went to Ueno for the first time in a while. It's been a while since I last visited. I bought popular breads from 1st to 3rd place and Ueno-exclusive breads. I only planned to buy bread, but I found a cute panda latte and decided to take a break and eat in. The cafe latte was delicious, and seeing the cute panda made me feel warm inside. All the breads were delicious as always, and I left satisfied.

At the station, and with mostly tourists, people buy without worrying about taste or price. The apple pie crust is crispy, and the apple tart is delicious. However, the taste doesn't quite match the price. Anyway, everyone buys it, so selling decent bread seems profitable. A bakery that focuses on mass production, without any unique bread.

I like bread, so today I was thinking that I haven't bought any yet. I decided to go to Andersen in Ueno Station for the first time in a while. I bought a normal milk French salt bread, which had a sweet swirl. Since Halloween is coming up, the staff said the pumpkin bread will only be available for this month. I wonder if I should buy it next time? Thank you for the meal.

I bought the "Panda Shokupan" at Andersen in Atre at Ueno Station, which is a cute panda-shaped bread. It cost 432 yen for a half size (including 8% tax). It's not a typical size for shokupan, but a very mini size. It's like a Kintaro Ame where you keep cutting and pandas keep appearing. It has a subtle sweetness.

The morning after staying in Ueno, a family who had walked around the area brought back an anpan (red bean paste bun) from Andersen Atre Ueno store located at Ueno Station. The anpan is a round bread with a cute panda face stamped on it. The hotel we stayed at, Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno, had a panda room with panda stuffed animals, cushions, and panda patterned coffee cups. We brewed some coffee in the morning and tried the anpan. When we split the bread, we found red bean paste inside. The bread was soft and had a nice freshly baked aroma. The red bean paste was mildly sweet and refreshing, although the amount was a bit small. Ueno, both the hotel and the station souvenirs, is all about pandas. Since the arrival of pandas Ling Ling and Kang Kang in 1972, pandas have truly become the icon of Ueno.

I visited in the evening on a regular day. It is located inside Ueno station. This time, my purpose was to buy bread for breakfast on my day off. The store was crowded. Corn bread half 367 yen After slicing, I lightly toasted it before eating. It had a crispy and satisfying texture. The sweetness of the corn spread out, and I couldn't stop eating one after another. There were many other breads that caught my eye at Andersen. I would like to visit again in the future. Thank you for the meal.

I have visited Andersen several times before, but this is my first time posting a review. I have always liked Danish pastries, so I used to buy them often. Our store is located inside a station building, and one of its features is the relatively spacious seating area. I felt that the prices have increased overall, perhaps due to the recent rise in the price of wheat flour. I purchased the Tochiotome strawberry quinamons for ¥250. Unfortunately, I couldn't quite get used to the oddly chunky strawberry jam (different from confiture). The dough itself is delicious, but... I also bought the An Panda for ¥190, attracted by the cute panda stamp, a specialty of Ueno. It has a neat circular shape. However, when I cut it open, I found that there was too little red bean paste inside. The texture also seemed tough, with the bread dough being the main focus rather than the filling. This time, I was disappointed with both items, as they left something to be desired. (I didn't buy my usual dark cherry pastry this time, so it might just be a simple case of choosing the wrong items.) Please forgive my honest feedback.

I came to Ueno Zoo to see the twin pandas and on the way back, I stopped by this chain bakery because I thought they might have panda-themed bread. And yes, they did! They had Twin Panda Cream & Jam Bread, Panda Shaped Bread, Cream Bread, and Anko (Sweet Red Bean Paste) Panda Bread. But for some reason, my heart wasn't into it, and I found myself more drawn to the Danish pastries next to them! After much deliberation, I finally decided, "Sorry panda bread, I can't take you home today," and shifted my focus to choosing a Danish pastry. I ended up choosing the following two items: - Dark Cherry Danish (292 yen): A Danish pastry with custard and marzipan, topped with four sweet and sour dark cherries. The pastry was crispy and flaky, not too heavy on the butter, making it easy to eat. The icing on top added a nice touch. - Pistachio Cream Danish (346 yen): A new item that caught my eye, with pistachio cream layered on a crispy Danish pastry with cranberries. The cream was soft and smooth, with a delicious blend of the tartness from the cranberries and the nuttiness of the pistachios. Danish pastries are the best! Thank you for the meal.

My favorite bread at Andersen is the cream bread. When I first came to Tokyo for university, I was shocked when I tried Andersen's cream bread. Unlike the cream I had eaten before, this one had a distinct flavor of vanilla beans and a gentle, fluffy cream that completely won me over. However, today I arrived late and my favorite cream bread was already sold out, so I bought three different kinds of bread instead!

I used the bakery "ANDERSEN Atre Ueno Store" on the 1st floor of JR Ueno Station in late March evening. On this day, I purchased the "Meat Sauce Croque Monsieur" (378 yen) and the "Danish Sausage Dog" (346 yen). When I got home, I immediately tasted them. The "Meat Sauce Croque Monsieur" is a croque monsieur with bechamel sauce, ham, cheese, topped with meat sauce and cheese. Unlike the typical croque monsieur eaten in the morning as a light snack, this one is more suitable for lunch with a satisfying and filling taste. The "Danish Sausage Dog" is said to be the most popular bread at Andersen Ueno store. The delicious Danish sausage spills out from the roll bread. It is seasoned with tomato ketchup and whole grain mustard. Fried onions are also topped inside the bread. When I took a bite, a fragrant aroma spread, and the crispy texture was enjoyable, giving a taste of authentic overseas sausage. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I usually use this cafe during the day. The pastries are around 300-400 yen each. Drinks start at around 300 yen. The tables are small and the space is narrow, so it's not really a place to relax. It's okay for killing some time though. The older staff members are nice, but the younger ones seem a bit mechanical and inattentive, which is quite disappointing.
