The hot weather has been continuing, and I've been feeling a bit of summer fatigue, so my appetite hasn't been great. In times like this, I find that spicy dishes with lots of spices help to stimulate my appetite. So, I visited this place. I saw the menu board in front of the store and ended up ordering my usual "Spinach Curry with Plenty of Spinach" at the ticket machine. When I handed the food ticket to the staff, I asked for a regular size. After a while, my order arrived. I already know the taste, so I asked for extra "Fukujinzuke" and "Rakkyo" to be served with it. The combination of sweetness and spiciness was quite enjoyable. I added the "Fukujinzuke" and "Rakkyo" to the curry and enjoyed it until I finished every last bit. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

I enjoyed the famous Katsu Curry. The restaurant is located just a 1-minute walk from Tsukiji Station on the Tokyo Metro. I visited on a weekday at 6 pm and purchased a meal ticket from the machine. The Katsu Curry had a sweet taste at first, followed by a spicy kick. The small pieces of cutlet made it easy to eat with the curry. It's a dish that I occasionally crave. I enjoyed it very much.

Nohya Curry, Tsukiji 2-chome branch, is a chain restaurant that serves incredibly delicious curry. The large portions are perfect for salarymen, and you can get a satisfying meal for less than 1000 yen. It's the best place to enjoy a filling curry meal.

There is no CoCo Ichibanya in my commuting area, so this curry restaurant is my only choice for breaks at work, excluding Indian curry. It's not bad, but not amazing either. It's just okay. If it were priced at exactly 800 yen, I would praise it more.

This curry restaurant is conveniently located near the station and close to my workplace, making it a great choice for a quick lunch. They have a wide variety of menu options, but personally, I always go for the spinach with raw egg, and then decide whether to add chicken or menchi-katsu based on how hungry I am. The curry is on the sweeter side, so I always wish they had the option to choose the level of spiciness for the sauce.

When I go out somewhere, I usually avoid chain restaurants because it feels like a defeat to me. But today, all the places I wanted to go were closed, so I reluctantly went to a chain restaurant. I ordered the pork cutlet curry for 880 yen, which was actually cheaper than I expected compared to CoCo Ichibanya. Plus, they offered free extra rice, so I went for the large portion out of habit. The curry tasted like home-cooked curry and was quite delicious. The rice was cooked to my preferred firmness. However, the pork cutlet was a bit thin and the large portion was actually like two regular portions, so next time I might just go for the regular size. Overall, it was good value for money. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to several locations of Hinoya Curry, but this is the worst one I have ever experienced. I like the taste of Hinoya Curry, despite the lukewarm curry being a bit lacking, but I am disappointed to see such a difference in quality between stores. It makes it hard to feel the same sense of security you would expect from a chain restaurant. I hope they can make improvements.

I had lunch alone. I visited this place where I can eat quickly. I ordered the "Meatball Curry" at the ticket machine and asked for a regular serving when handing the ticket to the staff. It seems they fry the meatballs after receiving the order, so there was a short wait before it was served. I sprinkled plenty of their usual spicy seasoning, added Fukujinzuke and pickled radish on top, and since it was fried, it was piping hot. I added extra shichimi pepper and finished the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.

After 5 years, I revisited Nino-ya Curry, a place I used to frequent at a different location. I ordered the Nino-ya Curry with a soft-boiled egg, large portion for ¥750, and added extra spicy topping for ¥50. The spiciness can be doubled by adding multiple pieces. There was a shaker of red pepper on the table, and the menu claimed that the curry starts sweet and becomes spicy later – which was true! Initially, the curry tasted quite sweet even with the extra spiciness. However, as I kept eating, the spiciness started to kick in. One extra spicy piece may not be enough for those who like it really hot. This time, I felt like the curry was more like a regular curry compared to before when it had a more soba shop curry-like taste. I used to wonder if they thickened the curry with potato starch, but today it just tasted like a normal curry. The only downside was that even though they piled the rice high, the curry sauce only covered the rice, making it seem like there was not enough sauce. Nevertheless, it was delicious. The standout feature was how clean and new everything in the restaurant was – from the store to the counter and even the utensils. It was so clean that I thought everything was brand new. I was impressed! The staff were also friendly, and the overall quality of the establishment was top-notch. Thank you for the meal.

Three colleagues from work and I visited this place where we could eat quickly. I ordered my usual "Spinach Curry with Plenty" from the ticket machine after looking at the menu board outside. When I handed the ticket to the staff, I requested a regular serving. After a short wait, the curry was served. Knowing the taste well, I added plenty of "Ichimi Togarashi" for extra spiciness. With "Fukujinzuke" and "Rakkyo" on the side, the combination of sweetness and spiciness was quite enjoyable. I added more "Fukujinzuke" and "Rakkyo" as I ate along with the curry, and finished the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.

My colleague and I decided to have curry for lunch, so we visited this place. We ordered our usual "Spinach Curry" using the ticket machine. I asked for a regular portion when handing the ticket to the staff. The curry arrived shortly after. I added plenty of red pepper to increase the spiciness. With the addition of "Fukujin-zuke" and pickled radish, the combination of sweetness and spiciness was quite enjoyable. I added more "Fukujin-zuke" and pickled radish as I continued to eat the curry, and finished the meal. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will visit again.

I went to St. Luke's International Hospital in Tsukiji in May 2022, and decided to eat out on the way back. I searched on Tabelog during the waiting time at the hospital, but couldn't find any preferred restaurants nearby. I decided to walk a bit towards Tsukiji Station. In hindsight, I should have gone to the old Tsukiji Market area instead. I found a restaurant near Hibiya Line Tsukiji Station with a Tabelog score of 3.02. I entered the restaurant before a group of people who were peeking inside, avoiding the risk of becoming a lunch refugee. Inside, there was a ticket machine on the left side where I purchased the Menchi Katsu Curry for 860 yen. The restaurant, Nino-ya Curry Tsukiji Nitchome branch, opened on January 16, 2020, so it's relatively new. They won the Kanda Curry Grand Prix in 2013, which raised my expectations. The curry was not too thick, more of a yellow curry with a crispy Menchi Katsu on top of rice. The Menchi was crispy and the curry was slightly sweet. The taste didn't quite meet my expectations, but it had a unique flavor that showed their dedication. Winning the Kanda Curry Grand Prix was well deserved. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by here for lunch since time was tight. I ordered the "Plenty of Spinach Curry" from the ticket machine after checking the menu board outside the shop, and requested a regular size at the counter. The curry was served with plenty of boiled spinach on top, which went well together. I added some table condiments like red chili pepper, Fukujinzuke, and pickled radish for extra flavor. I enjoyed the meal and will definitely come back again.

Located just a 5-second walk from Tsukiji Station's 4th exit, quietly standing there is Hinoya Curry, which can be described as directly connected to the station. The origin dates back to 2013 in Ikebukuro, and they have been expanding their presence in the city center and beyond, with around 10 new stores opening every year. The curry is simple and homemade, with no strong flavors. On the table, you'll find pickled radish and fukujinzuke as condiments. I love fukujinzuke, so I was delighted to see it there. I added plenty to my curry.

I was feeling hungry. I hadn't eaten lunch until around 6 pm due to a busy day. I was craving curry. Not the fancy, spicy kind, but the old-fashioned standard type of curry. "I want curry that is sweet and spicy... maybe katsu curry with tonkatsu on top would be good." As I was thinking this, I crossed the intersection in front of Tsukiji Station and remembered, "Oh yeah! Let's go to Nino-ya Curry." I went straight into the restaurant and purchased the famous katsu curry for 860 yen from the ticket machine. I sat at the counter in the middle and handed the ticket to the staff. Since I was really hungry, I decided to go for the extra large portion, which I had been avoiding recently. I requested a large amount of rice. After a short wait, it arrived. They gently placed fukujinzuke and pickled radish next to the curry. The special feature of Nino-ya Curry's katsu curry is the sweet and thick curry sauce with a crispy tonkatsu cut into eight or ten pieces, I can't remember exactly, making it easier to eat. I really like this, so I savored each bite of the tonkatsu and curry. It was delicious. Among chain curry restaurants, it's my second favorite after CoCo Ichibanya, so I'm happy that there is one near my nearest station. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely come back!

I visited this place for lunch, where I could eat quickly. I looked at the menu on the signboard in front of the store, ordered "spinach curry" at the ticket machine, sat at the counter seat at the back, and asked for a regular size when handing the ticket to the staff. (There is also a large size available. There is also a 70% size on the menu.) After a while, my curry arrived. I know the taste and spiciness, so I quickly added table-use shichimi pepper, fukujinzuke, and pickled radish. There were plenty of boiled spinach on top of the curry, which goes well together. I enjoyed the fukujinzuke and pickled radish as well. I finished my meal. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.

Daynoya has become more and more common in various cities. Their chain expansion or franchise model seems to be successful. The Tsukiji store is in a great location right in front of Tsukiji Station. However, the store is quite narrow, resembling a sleeping place for eels. Despite its size, the store operates successfully with just one type of curry and various toppings. I ordered the spicy fried pork belly curry with seven minutes of rice. The spicy fried pork belly, also known as pork cutlet, is crispy and not overly fried, which complements well with Daynoya's thick and sticky curry sauce. This menu item is limited edition, but Daynoya offers a variety of store-exclusive and seasonal items, which is one of their strengths. This is why I find myself visiting them occasionally.

Ninoya Curry, the winner of the 3rd Kanda Curry Grand Prix, has expanded its number of stores and can now be seen in various locations. They have grown to become the third largest curry chain, following CoCo Ichibanya and Go Go Curry. The Ninoya store in Tsukiji Nijome did not show any signs of the usual decline in quality often seen in rapidly expanding chain stores. I ordered the Menchi Katsu Curry, which is a popular choice at Ninoya. The option to choose the rice portion size from the beginning is great, and I even asked for a 20% reduction. The curry sauce had a good balance of sweetness from onions and fruits, and spiciness from spices, which paired well with the Menchi Katsu. The Menchi Katsu had a generous amount of cabbage and a crispy texture from being fried upon ordering. The only downside was the salad. I ordered the Tuna Corn Salad, but there was too much dressing, which overpowered the salad. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went to Hinoya Curry near Tsukiji Station. I chose the pork cutlet curry at the ticket machine by the entrance. After waiting a few minutes, I received a generous portion. It's been years since I last had curry outside. In conclusion, it was delicious but the curry sauce was a bit lacking. Thank you for the meal.
