It was hot, so I had sukiyaki (laughs). The simmered burdock as an appetizer was incredibly soft and didn't require any effort to chew! The meat was delicious, but I realized that sukiyaki made by my mom is the best after all... I hope to see her soon. Thank you for the meal. ♡

I visited around 18:30 on a normal day. I made a reservation for sukiyaki and arrived at the small restaurant inside a building, which was full. There were also some foreigners and people eating alone. I sat down and ordered sukiyaki, pickled vegetables, and oshinko. The menu for both food and drinks was simple but sufficient. They had a delicious smelling sake as well. The oshinko and pickled vegetables I ordered as appetizers were refreshing and tasty. The octopus in vinegar was just right in texture and perfect for a hot day. The sukiyaki came with simmered burdock root as an additional dish, which was flavorful and tender. The staff prepared the sukiyaki for us, and the meat had a nice marbling. They served the sukiyaki without the need to first eat the grilled meat. Everything was delicious, including the meat, sauce, green onions, and thin konjac noodles. I ordered extra meat and vegetables and ended the meal with thin udon noodles. It was a satisfying meal, and the price was reasonable for sukiyaki. The calm atmosphere created by the proprietress was also pleasant.

I was lucky to be able to make a same-day reservation and leave within 1.5 hours as they mentioned it was possible. The restaurant is located in a lively area, but once you step inside, you'll find a cozy and calming atmosphere at this long-established sukiyaki restaurant. There were many foreign tourists, which added to the bustling ambiance of Shinjuku. ⭐️Sukiyaki The meat served that day was from Miyazaki prefecture's Kurobe Wagyu, beautifully marbled and visually appealing. The hostess skillfully cooked the sukiyaki at the table, and the meat soaked up the slightly sweet and flavorful sauce. Just a few bites of the meat left a satisfying feeling! This charming, long-established sukiyaki restaurant offers delicious sukiyaki made with high-quality meat at a great value!

It has the atmosphere of a long-established sukiyaki restaurant! The sukiyaki is prepared by the staff at the restaurant. The meat was tender and melted in my mouth. The landlady also kindly talked to us, which made us happy. The restaurant itself is not very spacious, so reservations are essential!

I visited a sukiyaki restaurant called Ibuki at Shinjuku Nishiguchi (they also have shabu-shabu). It is known for offering reasonably priced sukiyaki. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of an old mixed-use building, with a history dating back to 1950. The entrance exudes a sense of tradition, although it has likely been updated over the years. The interior is very small, with five 4-person tables. Despite being fully booked, we were able to enter as we had made a reservation. Those without reservations were being turned away. Dining with 4 people allows for a bit more space, but it is still quite cramped. During the pandemic, dining in such close quarters felt unusual. The seating arrangement, separated only by a vinyl divider, could potentially lead to uncomfortable situations depending on who you are seated next to. The restaurant operates on a 90-minute time limit. Interestingly, there seemed to be a high proportion of Korean tourists dining there that day. The staff, consisting of a female owner and a few young female servers, provided attentive service. The menu offers a choice between sukiyaki and shabu-shabu, both priced at 3,900 yen per person. We had reserved sukiyaki, so the table was already set with the necessary items. The meat, in this case from Aomori prefecture, is brought to the table after seating. The meat quality was surprisingly good for the price. We ordered additional servings of meat and eggs, as well as some sake to accompany the meal. The sukiyaki was delicious, cooked in a Kanto style where the meat is simmered in sauce rather than grilled. The meal was satisfying, and the quality of the rice was also noteworthy. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, although switching from beer to sake was not as harmonious as expected. We ended up ordering more food than we needed, but the meal was still worth the price.

I enjoyed shabu-shabu with guests from overseas. Today's meat was from Aomori, it was sirloin. The vegetable assortment was also substantial, and we enjoyed it with two types of sauce, ponzu and sesame. The meat was so delicious! When I asked for a little more meat, they brought out sirloin sliced in a different way, with a satisfying thickness. I was very satisfied with the meal! I would like to try sukiyaki next time!

The menu is limited but refreshing, which is nice! I chose sukiyaki in April, but as it gets hotter, I plan to challenge shabu-shabu for the first time! #Shinjuku #ShinjukuWestExit #Sukiyaki #KantoStyle #BlackWagyu #Hokkaido #AllYouCanEat

I chose sukiyaki from the menu, which only had sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. I was happy that the meat was cut thick. I also ordered extra meat, so I used three eggs. I think it's a place where you can eat delicious meat at a reasonable price.

Located a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, this long-established sukiyaki restaurant at the Shinjuku Nishiguchi is a hidden gem. Honestly, Shinjuku and Shibuya are not my usual hangout spots, but after enjoying the night cherry blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen, I searched extensively and made a reservation at this completely unknown place. They offer a menu with only two options: sukiyaki (3,900 yen) and shabu-shabu (3,900 yen), which is quite straightforward! The sukiyaki made with domestic A5 Wagyu beef for 3,900 yen is a steal. The beef looks like a fully bloomed flower, beautifully marbled. The Kanto-style sukiyaki prepared by the staff is just right in sweetness and spiciness, with the meat melting in your mouth. The meal is finished with Sanuki udon, soaking up the rich flavors of the meat and vegetables. The portion of meat is generous and satisfying. With such quality and at only 3,900 yen, the cost performance is beyond surprising. I definitely want to come back to this place. Reservation is a must!

This is my second visit. It's a small, cozy shop with a long-established feel. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the delicious sukiyaki. It makes you hungry. The meat looks gorgeous and is a feast for the eyes. It has beautiful marbling and melts in your mouth. It's high-quality wagyu that you can't experience at all-you-can-eat places. It seems like the origin of the meat changes each time, so be sure to ask. I ordered rice, drinks, and pickles separately. Even so, it's around ¥5,000 for one person in the heart of Shinjuku, so it's quite affordable. If you want to enjoy delicious sukiyaki while feeling the Japanese atmosphere, I recommend visiting Ibuki.

This restaurant I have been repeating for quite some time. I use it when I want to eat sukiyaki in a calm atmosphere. It's always crowded when I go. Reservations are essential. They also have shabu-shabu, but I always go for the sukiyaki. The meat looks quite fatty with a lot of marbling, but it's not actually heavy at all. It's not greasy and you can eat it up easily. The restaurant is not noisy, so you can enjoy a quiet meal and leave feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal. #BlackWagyu #Sukiyaki #Shinjuku #Delicious #GirlsNightOut #Meat #Food #Foodstagram #Delicious #Delistagrammer #Tasty

It was my first visit and I made a same-day reservation by shifting the time by 15 minutes. It was a popular long-established restaurant, and a kind old lady took my phone reservation politely. Thank you very much! I had trouble finding the location of the restaurant as I mistook the building, but I confirmed it was on the 2nd floor. The interior of the restaurant was narrow, and I noticed that appetizers and eggs were already placed on the table. The burdock root appetizer was soft and very delicious with a citrus aroma that was very nice! The marbling of the meat was beautiful and they grilled it at the perfect timing, which I thought was a great service. The sake, which was stored and served fresh, was also very delicious. The overall cost performance was excellent, and I was happy that I could enjoy a Japanese-style atmosphere. This is a restaurant that I definitely want to visit again!

Visited at night. I was looking forward to it as it is a famous sukiyaki restaurant, and it did not disappoint. The meat with just the right amount of marbling pairs well with soy sauce and dashi. After thoroughly enjoying it, the must-have is the udon for the finishing touch! The drink menu is a bit lacking, but the main sukiyaki dish is flawless. Thank you for the feast.

I made a phone reservation around 5:00 p.m. on the same day and was only able to book a table after 8:30 p.m., so I reserved for that time. However, it seems difficult to make same-day reservations on a regular basis, so be careful! I ordered the sukiyaki set (pictured is a serving for 3 people), which included: marbled beef, grilled tofu, green onions, Chinese cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, and mizuna. Please note that udon noodles are not included in the set and must be ordered separately. The sukiyaki was prepared by the staff, and the timing was perfect, so we were able to enjoy it smoothly without having to call for assistance. Please be aware that the drink menu is limited, so those who enjoy cocktails may need to be cautious. The total cost for sukiyaki, udon noodles, and alcoholic beverages was 6000 yen. The restaurant is small, but the atmosphere is nice and we were able to have a comfortable dining experience. It's hard to believe this place is located in the drinking district of Shinjuku West Exit!

Today's meat was from Shizuoka. Every time I visit, I get to try meat from different regions! The meat always has a sweetness and just the right amount of fat. The staff cook the sukiyaki for you, so you can fully enjoy it. Thank you as always! I need to go visit to say Happy New Year! Thank you for the delicious meal.

Located in a mixed-use building near Yodobashi Camera at Shinjuku Nishiguchi, this restaurant offers reasonably priced sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. I visited with high school friends and seniors for a year-end party, making a reservation a week in advance. We ordered the sukiyaki course, where the staff cooked the meat and vegetables for us. The meat, said to be from Hokkaido, was marbled and had a sweet richness to it. The staff cooked the meat at the right timing so it never got tough. The course portion left us a bit hungry, so we also ordered additional a la carte meat and udon noodles for the finale. The udon noodles in the photo were for two people. The noodles absorbed the broth well, resulting in a deep flavor. Personally, I could have eaten one portion per person. I heard the shabu-shabu is also recommended, so I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

This is a really great restaurant! I had a delicious sukiyaki in a calm atmosphere that made me forget about the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku. The staff's service was fantastic! They took care of everything from the meat to the vegetables, but they did it in a way that didn't feel intrusive. They added things at just the right moments. I was truly impressed! It was a wonderful restaurant! I will definitely go back again!

"Ibuki" is a restaurant in Shinjuku that opened in 1950, offering reasonably priced sukiyaki and shabu-shabu using domestically produced wagyu beef. This time, I chose sukiyaki, which is a Kanto-style dish where the meat and vegetables are simmered in a sauce. The proprietress prepares it for you. The sauce used, which has been passed down since the establishment, is flavorful with a nice sweetness. The thinly sliced black wagyu beef is easy to eat and goes well with the fresh and delicious vegetables delivered directly from the producers. If you want to enjoy sukiyaki casually and affordably, this is a good choice. However, if you are serious about sukiyaki, you might want to go to Imahan in Ningyocho. - Name: Ibuki - Google Maps: Ibuki 03-5323-3552 - Nearest Station: 3-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station West Exit or South Exit (276m from Shinjuku Station) - Business Hours: 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, open on Sundays - Closed: Mondays and the second Tuesday of the month - Reservation: Available - Budget: ¥5000-¥5999 - Other Information: No private rooms, not available for full venue rental, all seats are non-smoking, no parking available.

There is a long-established sukiyaki restaurant in Shinjuku! The seating capacity is small and the interior is not very spacious, but I like the old-fashioned atmosphere. This restaurant offers high-quality meat at a reasonable price! When it comes to sukiyaki restaurants, there is often a sense of luxury and high prices, but at this restaurant, you can enjoy delicious sukiyaki without feeling intimidated. I have visited other high-end sukiyaki restaurants before, but in terms of cost performance, I think this restaurant is fantastic! They also serve shabu-shabu, so I am curious about trying that next time!

Usage situation and notes・Saturday around 8:30 PM・2 people・Made a reservation by phone in advance Shop information: Located a leisurely 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, up the stairs. I made a reservation by phone about a week ago, but only late times were available on Saturday. The kind staff and the calm atmosphere of the brown interior are nice. However, the clientele is quite noisy, with many foreigners and groups having drinks. It's not a quiet place for a relaxed date. Due to the acrylic for COVID-19 measures, the tables are a bit small. The staff will cook the sukiyaki for you when the ingredients run out, so you don't need to worry about how to cook it. The timing is good, and thanks to the noise around, you can talk to your companion without worrying even when the meat is being cooked. Food: ・Sukiyaki (3900 yen) ・Drink (500 yen?) One drink minimum order Meat, tofu, chrysanthemum greens, leeks, shiitake mushrooms, konnyaku, and napa cabbage are the classic ingredients. When it was served, I thought it was a bit small, but as I ate slowly, it absorbed the flavors well and filled me up. If you need more, you can order udon, but this time we only had sukiyaki. The umami of the meat, vegetables, and broth were balanced well. The sukiyaki was very delicious.

This restaurant is located a few minutes' walk from Shinjuku Station West Exit, and it seems that the shop originally from long ago has moved here. The restaurant exudes a strong sense of tradition. Upon entering, the sweet aroma of sukiyaki stimulates the appetite. First, cheers with a beer, and soon the sukiyaki set arrives. It costs around 3800 yen per person. The staff will cook the sukiyaki for you, which is a nice service. The black wagyu beef melts in your mouth and is quite thick, providing a satisfying meal. The vegetables are also included in moderation. The spring chrysanthemum, leeks, Chinese cabbage, and shirataki noodles are thinner than usual, which is interesting. As a finish, we added udon noodles for an additional fee. The udon noodles were just average, I prefer a smoother texture. The sukiyaki has a balanced taste, not too sweet or too strong, so I think everyone will enjoy it. Due to the state of emergency, the restaurant closes at 9 pm. The last order is at 8:30 pm, which can feel a bit rushed. I would like to visit again when they reopen to enjoy a leisurely meal.
