Raiicha Denpoin-dori Store on Tabelog 3.16 (Main Store 3.30) "High-quality matcha is not bitter" is the concept of Raiicha. When the staff approached me and offered a taste of matcha chocolate, the rich matcha flavor was delicious! Upon entering the store, there is a counter register on the right side for matcha drinks and more. On the left side, there are plenty of matcha sweets. As I looked around the store, the staff offered me a taste of matcha "Rai Okoshi" next. They said it's perfect as a snack with matcha beer. The matcha sweets made with the finest first tea are a vibrant matcha color. All are fragrance-free, color-free, and offer the true flavor of matcha, making them gentle on the body.
- Matcha Beer ¥700: The refreshing bitterness and sweetness of matcha are added to the bitterness of beer, creating a smooth taste. It certainly seems like it would go well with matcha "Rai Okoshi."
- Matcha Iced Latte ¥600: A beautiful two-layered rich matcha and smooth milk combination. The matcha has a strong aroma and rich flavor, with no bitterness at all. It's not too sweet and refreshing to drink.
These luxurious drinks and sweets use more than double the amount of matcha normally used. This is possible because high-quality matcha has little bitterness, so you can put a lot without it becoming bitter. Although the first tea is inevitably expensive due to its low harvest, they use it generously because they want people to taste the high-quality matcha. Walking around Asakusa in a kimono with matcha sweets and drinks in hand adds a touch of color and a more Japanese feel.
