Today I started my business trip to Hiroshima. Every time I go to Tsu-chan, I think I want to go to Hiroshima, and my wish came true with this business trip, haha. When I arrived at Haneda Airport, I bought onigiri from Sato Suisan and had my usual routine of filling my stomach in the lounge. As soon as I arrived at the airport, I headed to Kūben Kōbō, which is located opposite the A security checkpoint, and today they had a rare almost full lineup. I bought a mentaiko onigiri for 480 yen and a red salmon onigiri for 580 yen (both including tax). I wasn't really that hungry, but when they're available, I can't resist buying them, haha. After passing through the security checkpoint, I immediately had breakfast in the lounge. Recently, business trips and travels have become more active, just like before COVID, so the lounge was quite crowded. It's great to see the energy coming back. The wonderful thing about these onigiri is that they are so big yet filled with plenty of ingredients. With just one bite, you quickly reach the filling, haha. Both the mentaiko and red salmon were packed full of flavor, satisfying to eat, perfect for filling up before a business trip. My stomach is full, and I can board the plane feeling happy. Since the early morning flight only serves light snacks, I'll make it to lunch with this. The flight was also on time and comfortable, and Hiroshima is sunny with a clear blue sky, although it's hot. I'm feeling lucky with the clear skies today, so I'll work hard. Thank you for the meal!!

Arrival at Haneda Airport Terminal 2 is around 7 AM, and I had breakfast at Sato Suisan's onigiri from Kuuben Koubou. Sato Suisan is a famous shop from Hokkaido that deals with seafood, with its main store in Sapporo. There are 8 directly managed stores of Sato Suisan and a store inside Haneda Airport. At Kuuben Koubou, you can purchase Sato Suisan's sushi onigiri. I bought the jumbo onigiri with salmon and salmon roe (660 yen). I entered the ANA lounge and enjoyed the onigiri. The salmon roe was truly delicious. The salmon flakes were also plentiful. The price is a bit high at 660 yen, but it is a delicious onigiri. Thank you for the meal. 3.44

The chicken was tender and flavorful, but unfortunately the pasta had my least favorite margarine instead of butter, which would have been delicious. When I visited York Benimaru, they were doing something called "Famous Bento Box Tour of Various Countries." It seems like when Yamazawa holds the "National Ekiben Competition," other supermarkets also join in the fun (laughs). I bought the "Echizen Wakasa Grilled Mackerel Sushi (small)." The mackerel was thick and the vinegared rice paired well with the crispy grilled mackerel. It was a delicious pressed sushi.

The large onigiri with plenty of large hand-massaged salmon roe inside has a very satisfying texture. It is so big that I thought I couldn't finish it alone, but I ended up eating it all in one go. I highly recommend the hand-massaged salmon roe over regular salmon roe!

Before traveling, they fill your stomach with delicious food. I'm really looking forward to the in-flight meal on the airplane. There are so many options that it's hard to decide. All of them look delicious, from local specialties to famous restaurant bento boxes. It's a strange feeling that makes you want to buy a lot.

I am heading to Sapporo for the first time in a while. Since I had some time to spare, I decided to buy an in-flight meal at Haneda Airport and enjoy it in the lounge. In-flight meals are sometimes interesting to look at. There are various options like pork cutlet sandwiches, tempura, meat bento boxes, and shumai. There is a wide variety to choose from. This time, I didn't have plans to eat seafood in Sapporo, so I thought it would be nice to choose a seafood in-flight meal. I chose the "Salmon and Salmon Roe Marinated Seafood Bento Box" produced in Chitose City. It looks delicious with marinated salmon, salmon roe, and more. I added some soy sauce to enhance the flavor, and the rice was quite filling. It was delicious!

Today, I am heading to Hiroshima for 2 nights and 3 days! Before my flight, I decided to have an early lunch, so I bought a boxed meal to go! I chose the Ginza Shunsaiaoyama supervised "Sora Bento" because it had a good balance of flavors. I paired it with a free beer in the lounge for an early lunch before my flight. Each bite was delicious. The Ginza Shunsaiaoyama supervised "Sora Bento" costs ¥1,380.

This is a review of a restaurant inside Haneda Airport's Terminal 2, called Sora Ben Koubou. They sell attractive bento boxes from various regions, and this time I purchased Ishikari Sushi and the popular No. 1 grilled mackerel sushi. The grilled mackerel sushi looked like it hadn't been cut, but when I tried to cut it myself, it turned out it was already sliced. Grilled mackerel is definitely delicious! Ishikari Sushi is a bento box with half salmon roe and half crab, and it was also quite tasty. I would be even happier if there was a bit more quantity.

A bento box with 12 specialty dishes from all over Japan for 1100 yen. The fried food was a bit soggy and not very tasty, but the other dishes were good. It was a bento box where you could enjoy a variety of flavors in small portions.

I wasn't satisfied with just breakfast, so I had a meal on the plane. In-flight meal. I was happy to be able to eat Yoshikami's pork cutlet sandwich and tempura together. I enjoyed it with barley tea. I'm full for the first time in a while in the morning! I ate and slept on the plane.

Before boarding the plane, I bought a large rice ball for my child and a three-color bento with crab, sea urchin, and salmon for myself. The rice ball was delicious and filled with plenty of salmon. The bento, from Sato Suisan, was also delicious and well-made. I definitely plan to buy it again when I visit the airport.

Before 8 o'clock on weekdays, I had an early lunch for my flight and the place was empty. Tsukiji Maru Take: Parent and Child Sandwich for 699 yen (tax included) Egg Sandwich & Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. Just as it sounds. Wakahiro: Grilled Mackerel Sushi Half for 600 yen Vinegared rice + Shiso + Grilled mackerel. Also straightforward. Hokkai no Umi: Seafood Extravaganza Delicious! Salmon roe, sea urchin, crab, and more. Everything tastes great! The menu doesn't relate to the destination, but it's fine.

Today, I departed on a business trip from Haneda Airport and stopped by the "Soraben Kobo" in front of the departure gate. I don't usually visit this place, but my flight was delayed, so I decided to look for something to eat. Aside from shops like "Mai Izumi" and "Kicho," there were a variety of bento boxes, sandwiches, and sushi that caught my eye. I hadn't noticed them before... Since I have a long flight ahead of me, I chose the "Sato Suisan" "Gourmet Onigiri Mix" for ¥550. It's a big onigiri that has been featured on TV quite a bit. It seemed easier to eat than a bento box. At the gate, I couldn't help but notice how big it was! I couldn't even find the filling easily. It does have salmon and salmon roe in it, but it's mostly just a large amount of rice. These days, convenience stores offer high-quality onigiri, so the experience didn't quite match the price.

November 2019, Wedding Anniversary Trip to Okinawa Islands Tour - Day 1 Lunch We decided to join a tour with Hankyu Travel, which we use a few times a year. This time, we added an extra day to the itinerary for our anniversary, opting for a plan to visit the Okinawa Islands. The schedule had us arriving at Ishigaki Island at 2:40 PM. Since we would be moving to the bus immediately after arrival, we needed to have lunch on the plane. So, we looked for a bento box to bring from Tokyo. We chose the Pork Ginger, attracted by the simple yellow packaging with the words "Delicious even at a loss! Pork Ginger" written on it. Looking at the manufacturer on the back, it was made by Japan Airport Delica Co., Ltd., so we thought it would be fine. We waited until lunchtime and opened it on the plane. The ginger pork was piled on top, covered with sauce. As soon as we took a bite, we could taste the strong flavor typical of bento boxes. The impact of the ginger was intense, making it unmistakably ginger pork. The only other item in the box was a piece of rolled omelet, keeping the meal simple yet satisfying. Yes, it filled me up nicely. How far is it to Ishigaki Island? About 3 and a half hours. Quite a distance.

I purchased the "Nodoguro Chirashi Sushi" supervised by the longstanding ryokan Kagaya in Wakura Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture, at Haneda Airport in July 2019 for 1390 yen. I also bought the "Aji and Kodaichirashi Sushi" from Ofunaken for 1080 yen. The "Nodoguro Chirashi Sushi" features Nodoguro marinated in Kagaya's special "ishiru" (fish sauce) mixed with shiitake mushrooms, dried gourd, and sesame on vinegar rice, along with shrimp, conger eel, kazunoko, and salmon roe beautifully arranged on top. It is a luxurious chirashi sushi with a touch of gold leaf, reflecting the Kagaya style. The Nodoguro has a rich and delicious flavor, and the other ingredients are also tasty, creating a wonderful balance. The "Aji and Kodaichirashi Sushi" from the established Kamakura restaurant Ofunaken consists of shiny aji and kodaifish pressed sushi marinated in traditional vinegar. The aji sushi uses half of a small horse mackerel as it did when it was first sold in 1913, while the kodaifish sushi also uses half of a small sea bream. Both were delicious. I visited the bento shop at Haneda Airport Terminal 2. It was early in the morning, but the selection was sufficient. The spacious checkout counter made it convenient to pay quickly. I had the "Mini Menchi Katsu Burger" from Mai Suien. It was reliably good as always.

I usually go to Hokkaido during Golden Week, but this year, I had to cancel my trip due to various reasons. In early June, I took the opportunity to take a day off on Monday and decided to go on a one-night, two-day food shopping tour. On Sunday morning, I woke up early and headed to Haneda Airport's Domestic Terminal 2 to get breakfast. I visited a bento shop in the lobby and found onigiri from Sato Suisan, a major seafood company in Hokkaido. These onigiri were made at the Haneda Airport store's in-house workshop. I have eaten Sato Suisan's onigiri many times at Hokkaido and antenna shops, so I know how high-quality they are. I bought one red salmon and one cod roe onigiri (250 yen each) and ate them before reaching the boarding gate after passing through security. The filling inside was delicious, and the rice and seaweed were also tasty. The red salmon was of the usual high quality, and the almost non-red cod roe was also delicious. Even though I was still at Haneda Airport, I was able to enjoy a taste of Hokkaido a little early.

This is my first visit on June 2, 2019. Today, I am going to Hokkaido but I didn't have lunch, so I went to Haneda Airport to buy an in-flight meal. I went to the Sky Bento Workshop on the 2nd floor of Terminal 2, where they had various in-flight meals. Since I had a hamburger for breakfast, I decided to go with the popular number one choice, the Ishigaki beef grilled meat bento. My wife chose the Hanaguruma, a Japanese meal. The Ishigaki beef grilled meat bento had a delicious meat flavor, and although the rice was a bit cold, it was still tasty. My wife's Hanaguruma was made with care and each piece was delicious, but she felt the flavor was a bit strong. Maybe it's because it's an in-flight meal!

[À la carte] ◆ Shun-sai Aoyama Sora Bento 1,296 yen This is a bento supervised by the popular Shun-sai Aoyama in Ginza. When you open the lid of the bento, you will encounter colorful ingredients. This bento has an elegant and calming taste. Delicious. Especially the chirashi sushi leaves a lasting delicious impression. ◆ All-Local Gourmet from Across Japan 1,080 yen This is the bento my wife bought. It is also a makunouchi bento. From Hokkaido in the north to Kagoshima in the south, this bento allows you to taste local dishes from 12 prefectures. ◆ Mai Izumi Kurobuta Mini Menchi Katsu Burger 205 yen A small hamburger. One of the things I always look forward to at Haneda Airport is the airport-exclusive Jumbo Shumai from Saiho. It's great for personal consumption and also makes a wonderful souvenir. Last time, I microwaved it, but this time I bought a steamer and made sure everything was ready. The shumai is huge and very satisfying to eat. It's meaty and has a nice kick of black pepper. The large shrimp on top is firm and juicy. I devoured all 8 pieces in no time.
