I was happy that there was no cover charge or seating fee. The gyoza had a thick and chewy skin, which was delicious. They recommended eating it as is, but I added vinegar soy sauce and chili oil without hesitation. The drinks were a bit pricey though.

After work, I was hungry so I went to this restaurant. I ordered a lemon sour drink and the grilled dumplings & char siu set for 980 yen. The dumplings were delicious, so I ordered more. The char siu had a slight pork smell, so maybe I should have just stuck with the dumplings. But the dumplings were really tasty.

A popular dumpling izakaya under the guard of Asakusabashi Station. I had been curious about it for a while. I finally had the chance to visit. Of course, I had to try the dumplings. The hot and chewy dumplings were filled with plenty of juicy meat that burst out when you bite into them. It was satisfying. I think one visit is enough to be satisfied.

Dandadan is known for their original juicy dumplings. Their menu features unique items with slightly different names. Standout dishes include the Taramosalad, a mix of cod roe and potatoes, and the dumpling ice cream drizzled with sesame oil. Overall, ordering dumplings is a safe bet at this restaurant.

I tried the gyoza at Dandadan, a chain restaurant that I had been curious about. I ordered a set of 6 pan-fried gyoza for 526 yen, even though I had already eaten lunch. The gyoza arrived and I was told that they were already flavored, so no dipping sauce was needed. The gyoza had a chewy skin that reminded me of xiaolongbao, but without the thick skin, making it easy to eat and delicious. For those who love xiaolongbao, this gyoza would be irresistible.

The reviewer ordered the oil-drizzled chicken set with additional taro salad and boiled dumplings. The oil-drizzled chicken was a bit tough, possibly made with chicken breast meat. They thought it would have been better as pan-fried dumplings instead. The boiled dumplings were delicious as they were served in a flavorful soup. The reviewer found it difficult to understand the system of the restaurant as it was their first visit. They mentioned that the female staff member they encountered had a bad attitude and spoke in a harsh and indifferent manner, making it hard to communicate with her.

I went to the restaurant at night. It is a place that specializes in gyoza. The seating inside is limited, so it quickly fills up. There are tables outside for two people, and you can use them until a seat inside becomes available. I started by ordering a plate of gyoza with 6 pieces. I also ordered some drinks. Then I ordered more gyoza from the menu, both pan-fried and boiled. I had heard that they were very juicy. When the pan-fried gyoza arrived, the staff recommended that I try them as they were, without any sauce. I ate half of them and confirmed that they were indeed juicy, though not excessively so. I was looking forward to experiencing the juiciness in the gyoza, and I was satisfied. The boiled gyoza also had a nice broth inside. The thicker, chewy skin probably helps to keep the juice inside. I also tried the cod roe salad, salted potato with butter, and pudding. With prices around 500 yen per dish, it's a good place for a casual drink. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to other branches of the Dandadan Gyoza restaurant, but this was my first time at the one near Asakusabashi Station. Personally, my must-order items are the garlic gyoza and drinking with alcohol, and I also enjoyed the oil-drizzled chicken. The gyoza here is delicious, ranking high among chain restaurants.

【Reason for Visiting】I visited this restaurant in October 2021. On that day, I was near Asakusabashi Station for work. It was around 13:15, a bit late for lunchtime, but I decided to have lunch around the station. There were many dining options around the station. I saw an izakaya offering lunch under the overpass, so I decided to visit. That's how I ended up at Dandadan Asakusabashi, known for their juicy dumplings. 【About the Restaurant】Upon entering the restaurant and announcing my arrival, I was seated at a table. Although it was a bit off-lunch time, about 40% of the seats were occupied. Even though the state of emergency had been lifted, there were several people enjoying drinks in the afternoon. You could slightly see the kitchen space from the seats. The bright female staff provided lively service. The interior was brightly lit, with a modern Japanese-style pub atmosphere. 【About the Food】Looking at the lunch menu: - Juicy Dumpling Set Meal 700 yen - Oily Chicken Set Meal 750 yen - Mapo Tofu Set Meal 750 yen - Char Siu Set Meal 750 yen - Grilled Dumpling and Char Siu Set Meal 800 yen I had previously tried the dumpling set meal at another Dandadan Izakaya, so I decided to order the Oily Chicken Set Meal this time. ★Oily Chicken Set Meal Crispy fried chicken with a crispy texture, topped with a light and spicy sauce. It was served with rice, a light salty soup, and side dishes of pickles and cold onsen egg. The overall portion was a bit on the smaller side, but it might be necessary to keep costs down. After finishing the meal, I got up from my seat and paid the bill. I felt the restaurant was making efforts to keep prices reasonable. Thank you for the meal.

Today is the first day of the Obon holiday♪ For lunch, I wanted to have a drink, so I looked for a Chinese restaurant in town, but due to the Obon holiday and the state of emergency, there were few places offering alcohol. I passed by "Dandadan," known for its juicy dumplings. I had a great dining experience at their Kappabashi location before, so I decided to have a pleasant meal at their Asakusabashi branch today. It was lunchtime, and the restaurant was packed with customers, from solo diners to groups. The interior seemed smaller than the Kappabashi branch, with closely arranged tables for two. Luckily, I managed to get a table. I ordered a Premium Malt beer and two servings of juicy dumplings. While waiting for the dumplings, I had a special appetizer of Chinese bamboo shoots. After the beer, I had a refreshing highball, and for the finale, I enjoyed the Oyakodon set. The Oyakodon was crispy and delicious, although the rice was a bit disappointing. It didn't feel like freshly cooked rice for lunch, which was a letdown. The Gyoza and Char Siu set next to me looked appetizing as well (laughs). I used the restroom before leaving, which was located downstairs. Surprisingly, there was a spacious dining area downstairs. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Dandadan and other various places in the prime location of Asakusabashi, and I really liked it. When you enter, they first ask you how many gyoza you want. I think this system is good. The gyoza was supposed to be freshly baked, but it was lukewarm... disappointing. However, they have a variety of menu items that are perfect for an older gentleman, like butter salted cod roe with potatoes and warm egg with mozuku seaweed, which were delicious. But what left the biggest impression on me that day was the tantan tsukemen. I ordered it normally, but it was incredibly spicy... but somehow it was addictive. Thank you for the meal~♪

This is a review of the restaurant "Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan Asakusabashi" located in Asakusabashi 1-chome, Taito-ku, Tokyo. The nearest station is Asakusabashi Station on the JR Sobu Main Line and Toei Asakusa Line. I visited the restaurant for dinner and found it to be quite busy from the outside, but there were some empty seats available. I was seated at a table for two and ordered the Gyoza & Char Siu set meal along with an additional order of 3 extra Gyoza. The Char Siu in the set meal was quite good, with the sauce soaking into the meat nicely. The Gyoza had a juicy filling, but the taste was a bit unique with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. The additional Gyoza had the same issue. While the restaurant's specialty is Gyoza, I personally did not find them to be very delicious. I felt that the taste may have declined compared to before. Overall, I prefer the Gyoza from the chain restaurant "Gyoza no Ohsho" as they suit my taste better.

Yesterday, I went to "Nikujyu Gyoza Dandadan" in Asakusabashi. It used to be called "Nikujyu Gyoza Seisakusho Dandadan Sakaba" but they changed the name to Dandadan. It's relatively new in Asakusabashi. It was surprising because it was located where there used to be a Mitsubishi ATM. Surprisingly, the restaurant had a basement, so I was led downstairs. My knees were hurting, so I went down the stairs with a bit of a struggle. I've been to their other branches before, but this was my first time at the Asakusabashi location. I decided to try the pan-fried gyoza set meal first. It took a bit of time, but the juicy pan-fried gyoza set meal was ready. They always say, "Our gyoza has a strong flavor, so please try it as it is first," but wait, there's no soy sauce or vinegar on the table!? So, I politely asked for vinegar. The set meal came with a hot spring egg. I always wonder how to eat it. Do I eat it as it is, pour it over rice, or dip the gyoza in it? I usually end up eating it as it is, dipping the gyoza occasionally, and pouring it over rice at the end, hoping that one of these ways is the correct way. Of course, the main dish is the gyoza. Huh? Aren't the gyoza smaller than before? I feel like they are clearly smaller than they used to be... The amount of juice isn't as much as it used to be, and the gyoza itself wasn't piping hot, probably because it quickly cooled down in the freezing cold air-conditioned restaurant. Anyway, the set meal for 700 yen is reasonably priced.

Today, I visited the Dandadan bar in Asakusabashi! It's always crowded, but I finally got to go! When I ordered a drink from the staff, they asked if I wanted gyoza too. Fantastic! I started with a Premium Malt beer for a toast. It was top quality! For food, I ordered a platter of horse sashimi. It's healthy and delicious! Then, the gyoza arrived. They were indeed juicy with lots of meat filling! When you bite into them, the meat juice oozes out. So tasty! They are small-sized, so you can eat as many as you want! Rumor has it that they use whole wheat flour too. Healthy gyoza, what a delight! Thank you for the meal!

I used to go to the Omiya store often, but I also visited the Asakusabashi store, which opened recently. It's a gyoza restaurant, but personally it's not my favorite type of gyoza, so I always order one just in case when asked. The skin is chewy, but I wish they had gyoza with thinner skin. My favorite menu item is the "devilishly delicious coriander salad," but today I had Changja and garlic soy sauce pickles. There was also a limited menu item, the "corn tea highball," which I really liked. Thanks to that, I ended up drinking too much. It was delicious.

I had lunch at this recently opened restaurant right by Asakusabashi Station! The staff greeted me energetically and the atmosphere was quite nice. I ordered the juicy dumplings and seared chashu set! The dumplings were cooked well and the juice came out nicely, but for some reason they weren't hot - they were actually lukewarm. The filling tasted good though! The seared chashu was delicious and melted in my mouth. The chicken soup, on the other hand, was so hot that it could burn you, but it was also good! The cabbage with yuzu-flavored pickles was also tasty. It's a bit disappointing that the restaurant specializes in dumplings, but maybe it's because they are a new branch and still working out their operations.

A newly opened dumpling restaurant! The interior is bright and transparent. The staff are also bright and nice. When you bite into the dumplings, the juice really bursts out. They are seasoned dumplings, more like a side dish or snack that you can enjoy munching on.

Asakusabashi Station East Exit ticket gate is located just down the stairs as you exit. There is a shop right below the stairs where you exit the ticket gate. It is located in front of Seven Eleven, where there used to be a Mitsubishi UFJ Bank ATM. Here is the menu. This is the "Yaki Gyoza and Char Siu set meal (800 yen)". This set meal comes with 3 pieces of gyoza. The gyoza already has flavor so you can eat it without any sauce. Be careful as the juicy filling can be hot. The soup has a strong pepper flavor. The char siu is tender and can be easily cut with chopsticks. I went to eat this menu twice, and the first time it took 35 minutes for the order to arrive, while the second time it took 20 minutes. If it takes this long just to cook 3 pieces of gyoza, I will not go there again. I will go to Osho instead. Due to the long wait, my rating is low.

The individual appetizers were really good. They are perfect for light drinking. The dumplings are small but the skin is chewy and thick, so they are filling. As a person from Kansai, I prefer dumplings with thin and crispy skin.

There is a shop located on the JR Asakusabashi station side. I visited after the Sunday lunch hours and the shop is spacious enough to accommodate six people right away. The drinks and dishes are from a chain store, so they are consistently delicious and reasonably priced. It is also conveniently located near the station. Excellent experience.
