Oden - Ore no Dashi @ Ginza I had always wanted to try Ore no Dashi Oden, and finally, I was able to visit without a reservation on a Saturday around 6:30 pm! Surprisingly, I could enter without a reservation. Perhaps it was due to the impact of the coronavirus. There were only about 2-3 groups of customers inside, so it was not crowded. I could choose between sitting at the counter or a table, and I must say, sitting at the counter in such places is the best! It truly lives up to the "Ore no" series of restaurants. The hospitality was perfect! The staff explained everything in detail, and then it was time to order. First, I ordered a drink - Ore no Ale, an original craft beer they had. They also had rare Japanese sake available. I plan to order some later (laughs). Now, onto the main dish - Oden! Of course, I started with the classic daikon radish. I also ordered kumafu, egg, and tsukune. The daikon radish came with grated yam konbu. The daikon radish, soaked in the broth, was incredibly delicious! The broth was gentle, and the grated yam konbu did a great job. The other ingredients were equally tasty, and I was quite satisfied with just the oden alone (laughs). I also ordered some izakaya-style dishes - beef tendon stew, dashimaki tamago, and Rikyu Hasshin! A perfect combination (laughs). The dashimaki tamago, in particular, had a fluffy texture with the flavor of the oden broth. It was incredibly delicious! They mentioned a seasonal dish - "Oden with matsutake mushrooms and conger eel," so I ordered that too! What a luxurious dish! I haven't had matsutake mushrooms for years... (laughs). Paired with high-quality conger eel in the oden... it's mouth-watering (laughs). While waiting, I added Hamaguri clam to the oden. The broth, filled with both oden and clam flavors, was delicious! The large Hamaguri clam had a firm texture and great flavor. The broth was amazing! Finally, the pot arrived! The aroma was irresistible! Perhaps due to a bit of soy sauce, the fragrance was even more prominent! Let's dig in! It was incredibly delicious... The oden broth, the flavor and aroma of the conger eel and matsutake mushrooms... it was perfect. The soft texture of the conger eel and the matsutake mushrooms... the seasoning was perfect. If this were turned into porridge... I ordered porridge as a finish. With an egg added and black seven spice... it's complete! It looks so delicious! And it tastes delicious! The broth is amazing... and the touch of black seven spice is exquisite! It's the best. I want to become a regular customer (laughs). I definitely want to come back for more. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

The evening visit location is in the Ginza 7-chome area, located between Shinbashi and Yurakucho. It is a street lined with restaurants just off Namiki Street. Once inside, all the seating is counter-style and the place is extremely cramped, typical of the "Ore no" series of restaurants. It's so narrow that even going to the restroom is a struggle. In terms of food, here are my impressions: ① Oden 1-1. Daikon (Japanese radish) - 280 yen The broth is rich and the daikon is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Delicious! 1-2. Tamago (egg) - 260 yen Perfectly half-boiled! The broth is flavorful and delicious. 1-3. Kuruma fu (wheat gluten) - 270 yen The best in terms of absorbing the broth! When you chew it, the umami flavor of the broth spreads in your mouth. 1-4. Gyusuji (beef tendon) - 600 yen Unlike the gentle broth of the other ingredients, this one is seasoned with a strong soy sauce flavor. The beef tendon itself is tender and the shichimi spice adds a nice kick. It's a bit pricier than the other items, but it's more like a beef tendon stew than oden, so it's worth it. I want to pour it over rice (laughs). 1-5. Special tsukune (chicken meatball) - 380 yen Spicy and the texture of the coarsely ground chicken and onions is irresistible! 1-6. Agemochi (fried rice cake) - 450 yen The rice cake is also tender! Eating it with ao-nori (seaweed) and wasabi is a winning combination! Also delicious. 1-7. Special ganmo (tofu fritter) - 380 yen With the broth soaked in, it has a fluffy and tender texture. It felt like ganmo was a superior version of tofu. 1-8. Tako (octopus) - 680 yen Perfectly simmered! Excellent texture and chewiness! Dip it in a bit of wasabi and it transforms into the perfect accompaniment for drinking endless amounts of sake! 1-9. Hanpen (fish cake) - 260 yen Also tender! It's amazing how hanpen can have such a melting texture in your mouth! Truly tender hanpen! 1-10. Takahara lettuce This is like crunchy lettuce shabu-shabu in the midst of all the tender items on the oden menu! It's like a flame-up YouTuber in terms of presence! (laughs) ② Other dishes 2-1. Anago and Iburi Gakko (smoked radish) potato salad - 580 yen Anago and potato salad go well together! Delicious! A great side dish! 2-2. Crab cream croquette - 680 yen I've had this at "Ore no" Kappo before and it was delicious. When I saw it, I couldn't help but order it! The taste is rich with crab flavor, and the cream is both creamy and flavorful! This is a flavor bomb! Absolutely delicious! I need rice (laughs). ③ Drinks 3-1. Dassai Highball - 680 yen Not something you see often, so I was curious and ordered it. The sake lees flavor is a nice accent. I love it! It goes well with oden. 3-2. Jikin - Senbon Kikumare no Roka - 1,980 yen I was undecided on what sake to drink, but the staff recommended a sake that wasn't on the menu. It's a limited edition within the "Jikin" series, so I immediately ordered it (laughs). The taste is flavorful with a good aroma and easy to drink. It was delicious! And of course, it goes well with oden! Overall, the oden is cooked to perfection with a rich broth, and the other dishes are also delicious. As expected from the "Ore no" series, the food is well-prepared and tasty. What's more, the seat charge is 330 yen, and the appetizer charge is 330 yen, making it a total of less than 5,000 yen per person. It's a great value for money, typical of the "Ore no" series. I really loved it! I want to go again! Well, the cramped seating and narrow spaces between tables, typical of the "Ore no" series, are there, but...

I visited this counter-only shop because I wanted to eat oden. The shop was almost full, and I was impressed by the luxurious daikon tower of oden that I ordered. The fried potatoes soaked in dashi broth were fragrant and delicious. The spring chrysanthemum had a very pleasant aroma. The other oden items were also delicious. The matsutake mushroom and saury roll was also very tasty. Among the refreshing flavors, the sweet and savory sukiyaki had a strong impact.

I went to this restaurant for a colleague's farewell party. I don't drink much, but I love oden, so I made a reservation here. The refined broth and tender daikon radish were excellent. Of course, the sashimi was fresh and paired well with the sake. If you don't drink sake like crazy, you can still enjoy it reasonably in Ginza. I would like to come back again.

My second visit to Oreno Dashi! I was seated in front of the oden pot, so I was able to order like at a sushi restaurant, which added to my satisfaction. The food is still delicious as ever. This shop is all about the broth, so they have some unique items and great ideas. I highly recommend the special tsukune. It's soft, juicy, and you can taste the homemade quality! Oden even in the summer. It's the best! Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation and visited on a Sunday night. The restaurant was full of foreign customers, so it seems that reservations are essential. I forgot to take some photos, but we ordered the daikon and fish ball stew, clam and spring chrysanthemum, octopus, conger eel, and Iburi Gakko potato salad, and the luxurious hairy crab platter. The dashi broth was incredibly delicious and warmed me up inside. The daikon dish was absolutely exquisite! The hairy crab platter was packed full of crab and left us completely satisfied! I highly recommend this place when you're craving oden!

The restaurant is quite lively even at a late hour. The shop is somewhat compact with a main counter. Despite the name including "oden," the menu offers a variety of other dishes as well. The octopus oden is a must-try. It may be better to go when you have some extra time.

My "Oreno Series" with no misses! The interior of the restaurant is a bit small but there is a counter and tables available ☺️ <Menu> - Daikon radish - Large clams - Egg - Rolled wheat gluten - Special tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Octopus - Highland lettuce - Fresh oysters - Chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with oden broth The main oden dish features classic ingredients like daikon radish, rolled wheat gluten, egg, and tsukune. The daikon radish comes with grated kelp, and the broth is rich and flavorful - delicious! The other ingredients also shine with their deliciousness ✨ I want to come back to this restaurant again! Thank you for the meal ♪ --------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for reading the review until the end ✨ I hope it can be a starting point for your search for delicious meals ☺️ If you like it or leave a comment, it will motivate me! The restaurant only has counter seats, so it's best to go with 2-3 people! I was able to make a last-minute reservation, but it was full so a reservation may be necessary. The oden dishes are quite large and they even cut them for sharing. There is a wide variety of drinks, and the sake was delicious. I don't usually drink sake, but it was easy to drink and enjoyable.

It's been a while since I visited the "Ore no" series. The seating was tight and it was a struggle for people to pass by, but once you get through that, it's hard to believe you can get such high-quality Japanese food at such a reasonable price in Ginza. We tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed them without feeling too full. The portions were substantial, so sharing is a good idea. They have a great selection of drinks as well. It's a wonderful restaurant that I would definitely visit again. I think it's perfect for a date night.

The atmosphere at the counter is not bad. It's not too formal and easy to talk in. The food overall is decently tasty. The sashimi and grilled fish were fresh and delicious. The oden is served in one dish when you order one, making it easy to share with two people. Personally, I felt the flavors were a bit mild. The clams were very big and tasty! It's a good place to drop by casually.

I visited the restaurant at 7:00 PM on a weekday. The place was almost full, so it's better to make a reservation. I had about two drinks and it cost me 5,000 yen for one person. It was my first time trying oden, and it didn't disappoint. I especially recommend the eggplant and tsukune. There were many other varieties available, so I would like to go again.

I visited on a regular night. There was a wide variety of alcohol, and they were all delicious. I didn't realize there were so many types of alcohol that go well with oden. There were also various side dishes to enjoy. In particular, the luxurious assortment in the photo was delicious!

Wow! It was really delicious! Everything I ate was delicious! The 3-year-old oysters and the classic oden were delicious! Personally, I loved the deep-fried red snapper bones and the crab cream croquette! Speaking of the crab cream croquette, it was almost all crab! I had seconds!

Second visit. Full of reservations before the holiday, could only get a reservation at 8:00 pm, so I killed time. My body was completely chilled, so I first warmed up with alcohol, and then warmed my heart with delicious oden. I tried some items I didn't order last time. Tsukune and potatoes. The potatoes were deep-fried, with a crispy coating that soaked up the broth and was delicious. I've decided to come back next time. The restaurant is small, so it's a bit difficult to get to the restroom. But the food is without complaint. I'll definitely want to come back. Thank you for the meal.

Located between Ginza Station and Shinbashi Station. Second visit. Always full of oden and can't go for a second round (lol). Personally, my top choices here are shirataki and ganmo. They pour non-alcoholic sparkling generously. ⚫︎ Shirataki is thin and mixes well with the broth. ⚫︎ Ganmo is packed with ingredients and satisfying to eat. Personally, I love the ginkgo nuts in it. ⚫︎ Half-cooked egg is creamy and sweet. ⚫︎ Daikon is consistent and well-flavored. ⚫︎ Fried mochi with nori has a great combination of seaweed aroma and mochi.

My series store, My Dashi☆ Oden that makes you want to eat on a cold day♪ It is a counter, single row store. When it comes to oden, daikon♪ and tororo kelp with a slight saltiness. Hanpen is fluffy with the broth soaked in. Car fu has a juicy broth, takenoko and hamaguri, takenoko without bitterness and the flavor of hamaguri is also great. Aosa was fresh too! Shungiku with ponzu and yuzu? Refreshing! I love it!! The egg was half-boiled and creamy. I found mochi and got excited♪ I love mochi so much, my excitement went up♪ The recommended three-year oyster is large and firm. I don't have many opportunities to eat Kanto-style broth, but the taste of the broth varies depending on the menu, and it was more like a single dish rather than oden^ ^ After work, the broth is nice. As I get older, I crave broth more and more. Haha, it was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

In the lingering cold weather, I felt like eating delicious oden. The best place to enjoy a refined oden while pairing it with sake. It's my favorite place in the "Ore no" series♪ I wanted to start with daikon, but first, let's start with some sake accompaniments. A sashimi platter with horsehair crab, fresh oysters, blackthroat seaperch, and Japanese Spanish mackerel. The seaperch is lightly seared to lock in the flavor, and the mackerel has a great texture and taste. They pair well with sake. The horsehair crab is meticulously prepared, making it easy to eat with uni and ikura on top, making it a luxurious treat. It was absolutely delicious. And then, the oden. Starting with daikon, the broth has seeped into it, creating a burst of umami. Although it comes with grated yam seaweed, it's not even necessary because the flavor is already so well-infused. There's no mistaking that daikon is delicious at this place. Other items included egg, fish cake, ganmo (deep-fried tofu), thick fried tofu, black mushrooms, beef tendon, wheel-shaped wheat gluten, shirataki noodles, and spring greens. The fish cake and egg that I always order are consistently delicious. And I couldn't resist the combination of wheel-shaped wheat gluten and spring greens. The wheat gluten absorbs the broth more than I imagined, making it delicious. Feeling a bit unsatisfied with my drink, I continued to sip on some pickled vegetables. I was delighted to find pickled red turnips in the assortment. I ended the meal with rich chocolate. It's a restaurant that I love.

I visited the restaurant around 20:45. Upon entering, I was informed that the last order is at 22:00 and the restaurant closes at 23:00. The interior of the restaurant is long and narrow, with a counter seating for 16 people and 2 two-person tables. The space between the counter seats and the wall is very narrow, making it difficult to move around. There were only 2 seats available and the rest were almost full. I ordered the specialty "My Foam" drink, which was slightly dry with a good amount of carbonation and very tasty. The complimentary appetizer was tofu with miso. I was recommended the limited quantity Koubako crab, so I ordered one. The Koubako crab (2480 yen) was beautifully presented with meat in the shell topped with crab roe. It had a rich crab flavor and was delicious. I also ordered a variety of oden items: daikon (280 yen), rolled wheat gluten (270 yen), shirataki noodles (260 yen), egg (260 yen), cabbage roll (680 yen), special meatball (380 yen), special ganmo (380 yen), rolled yuba (450 yen), and beef tendon (600 yen). All of them were soaked in a flavorful broth, with the daikon and rolled wheat gluten standing out. The cabbage roll had a generous amount of cabbage soaked in broth, complementing the meat filling well. The special meatball was larger than expected, with plenty of meat and a nice cartilage texture. The oden broth chawanmushi (330 yen) was described as allowing you to taste the broth, but it didn't have as much flavor as the oden itself.

[Access] About a 5-minute walk from Ginza Station on the Hibiya Line, there is a Japanese-style restaurant located on the street next to Namiki-dori. [Operating Hours and Store] This time, I made a reservation for 5:00 pm on a weekday for dining. When I entered the restaurant, a group of women were having a meeting. By around 6:00 pm, the restaurant was 80% full... and by 7:00 pm, it was fully booked. The interior of the restaurant is Japanese-style, with counter seats and table seats. [Orders] - "Ore no Nami" / 780 yen (tax included): A recommended champagne by the staff. Slightly dry with a hint of sweetness. - "Ichiban Shibori Premium" / 780 yen (tax included): A Kirin premium beer that is rarely seen. Slightly creamy. - "Mimuro Sugi" / 980 yen (tax included): A hidden menu item. A fruity sake recommended by the staff. It has a fizzy sensation like ramune and a sweetness reminiscent of white peaches. - "Daikon" / 280 yen (tax included): Daikon radish topped with Kujo negi and kombu. Thick, flavorful, and a lightly seasoned golden broth. - "Ebi Imo" / 550 yen (tax included): Fried Kyoto vegetables with yuzu nori, served in a sophisticated oden broth. Sweet potatoes and broth complement each other perfectly. - "Tokusei Tsukune" / 600 yen (tax included): Large tsukune meatballs with a delicious sweetness. - "Age Mochi" / Price not specified (tax included): Fried mochi with aonori seaweed, served in oden broth. Crispy mochi with a unique texture, paired perfectly with aonori seaweed and broth. - "Kuruma Fu" / 280 yen (tax included): Large wheat gluten in a flavorful broth. Delicious and transformed into a high-class oden dish. - "Shirataki" / 270 yen (tax included): Delicious and flavorful. - "Chawanmushi" / 380 yen (tax included): Steamed egg custard made with oden broth. Fluffy and rich in umami flavor. [Staff] Polite and attentive service. [Final Thoughts] A restaurant specializing in oden dishes under the "Ore" series. I love the "Ore" series. The carefully selected ingredients prepared by skilled chefs are delicious, and the cost performance is excellent. I had a great meal this time as well. Oden and Japanese sake in the cold winter... Ah, happiness. I finally visited a place I had been curious about for a while. The restaurant only has a counter, and it feels quite strict to walk in, but the staff in front of you will recommend menu items and drinks. I ordered all the recommended dishes for starters! The broth was different depending on the ingredients and all of them were very delicious. Personally, I really liked the recommended tsukune and shirako oden! The restaurant seemed to have mostly couples and married couples. Due to the layout of the restaurant, if there are four or more people, you might end up sitting side by side, so you should be careful. It was a very lovely place, perfect for the cold winter! (^^)
