If you don't strongly assert the Suehiro color, is the target audience young people? When we hear "Suehiro," we think of the established "meat dynasty" founded in 1933 (Showa 8). In our generation, we feel a certain level of trust, and it seems like there would be more customers, right? Is this a deliberate strategy to not emphasize that point? Besides the reliability of ingredients and logistics, are there other strategic points? Nowadays, people don't seem to care much about those things. They only make noise when a problem arises, and otherwise, they quickly jump on trends like "Instagrammable" or rarity, becoming easy prey for media and online information. They also get caught up in the superstition of A5 and A4 rankings, with stores serving A5 beef from old cows exceeding a "3.5" in Ikebukuro Nishiguchi. Now, this store is located between Romance Street and Nishiichiban Street in Ikebukuro Nishiguchi, where "Hikarimen" used to be. In the past, there was a time when "Elvis" and "Hikarimen" were the two major popular ramen shops in Ikebukuro Nishiguchi. The structure of the first and second floors, which used to be open during the Hikarimen era, was completely blocked by a floor. I ordered the "Nakaochi Kalbi Lunch (150g)" (1,485 yen) + "Fatty Hormone" (748 yen) - as shown in the photo. The lunch set comes with rice, soup, salad, and a drink. I asked for extra rice for free. I chose iced jasmine tea as my drink. The Nakaochi Kalbi had some parts that didn't feel like Nakaochi due to the way the fat was distributed, giving it a more hearty Kalbi-like feel. The meat quality was good, quite delicious. It had a clear meaty atmosphere and was slightly away from richness. I thought the tangy sauce might be the reason, so I added the free service of Kochujang and garlic, and it worked out to a certain extent. But if you enjoy the original taste, it seemed to handle it well without a strong meaty feeling, which might suit more as you get older. The Hormone, labeled "Fatty Hormone," might give a guilty feeling to those with a tendency for metabolic syndrome, but almost every store serves "fatty" Hormone, so I don't mind. (laughs) In fact, that's what we seek when we order. After eating sushi, soba, and Japanese food, my body suddenly craves oil, so it was delicious. Many stores serve frozen meat, but I think this store maintains good quality by refrigerating it. If you overcook it, the fat turns into oil and drips off, so you have to time it right when eating. But I don't really know when the right timing is. I haven't had stomach problems so far, so I'm just going by feeling. As I get older, I seek quality over quantity when it comes to meat and don't eat yakiniku out often, but at this level and price, I thought it was worth it. Yeah, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. The service was polite and kind. They seemed well-educated. Also, the smoking area on the second floor was pitch black and a little scary. The surprise birthday meat cake with fireworks was great, but because I ordered a cheaper option, it had a lot of pork in it. Also, there was no explanation of the meat cuts, and it was awkward to have it placed in front of the birthday person without any fanfare.

I wandered around the Ikebukuro West Exit area wondering what to eat for lunch. I stumbled upon a restaurant with a lunch sign and decided to give it a try. Although they didn't offer lunch in the past, I found out that they started serving it last year. I was torn between the beef tendon curry and the yakiniku bowl, but ended up ordering the yakiniku bowl. They offered free extra rice, but I stuck with the regular portion that day. The yakiniku in the bowl was delicious and definitely tasted like it came from a yakiniku restaurant. However, the sauce seemed to already have gochujang in it, so people's opinions might differ based on their sauce preferences. The meal also came with unlimited shredded cabbage, soup, and dessert. It was a satisfying meal.

Beef tendon curry for ¥990. I didn't see any lunch menu items related to grilling meat. The curry had a good amount of beef tendon, which made it quite satisfying. The cabbage side reminded me of Go Go Curry. Cabbage is a good palate cleanser, right? The curry itself didn't have any standout features, but I think it's a good choice when you're craving beef tendon.

I didn't expect the hot beef tendon curry on a hot plate, so I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the generous portion! We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated right away. We ordered everything we wanted to eat and grilled the meat as soon as it arrived. The atmosphere was great and overall satisfaction was high.

It is expected to be more affordable than the pioneer of butcher shop style, Nikuyokocho in Akihabara. Visited on a weekend evening, the seats were not fully occupied, but the staff seemed to be reduced as well, resulting in a hectic atmosphere. After receiving an explanation from the staff, the first plate was brought out, and I thought the all-you-can-eat time had started. However, despite the explanation being over and nothing being served yet, the all-you-can-eat time was already being counted, which was a confusing setup. As a result, I had to wait for about 5 minutes, which was frustrating. Despite the complaints, when I tried grilling and eating the first plate that was finally brought out, the taste was indeed delicious! There were cuts of meat not available in the all-you-can-eat selection, which I enjoyed savoring. As for the all-you-can-eat meats, while the premium kalbi and ribs were tasty, they were fatty and heavy. The beef tongue was a bit tough, and overall, the meat quality seemed to be inferior compared to Nikuyokocho, understandably due to the price difference. On the other hand, the brisket had the perfect amount of fat, was tender, and full of flavor, so I ended up eating a lot of it! One notable point about this restaurant is the desserts. They offer desserts not available at Nikuyokocho, which was fantastic. The shaved ice with fruit sauce, homemade almond jelly, and pudding were all very satisfying! The quality and pricing of this yakiniku buffet restaurant fall somewhere between a casual and a high-end establishment, and I was completely satisfied with the pricing. For some reason, I suddenly felt like eating yakiniku again. I thought I could find a place in Ikebukuro, so I came here on a whim. However, it was a disappointment! I arrived around 5:30 pm on a Saturday, but after checking out 5 or 6 places, they were all full or fully booked. The places I had in mind were all a bust. Finally, I managed to get a table at this restaurant I stumbled upon. We were seated in the back on the second floor. The table was spacious, even with three kids, they could lay down comfortably. The harami (skirt steak) was delicious. The tongue and offal were okay, nothing special. Considering the prices, it felt a bit overpriced. Overall, the satisfaction level was low. However, I did notice a few families with kids, so it seems like a safe place for families to visit. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the Tan 3 kinds mix x2, Hatsu liver, Ishiyaki Wagyu garlic rice. Good value for money and delicious meat can be eaten at this restaurant. Compared to other places, the Tan seems a bit oily! It is easy to eat. The garlic rice is quite oily, almost like they made a mistake with the amount of oil?

I used to go to a restaurant in Shinjuku where an acquaintance used to work, but now I'm looking for a place to eat in Ikebukuro. I didn't have the courage or initiative to randomly enter a restaurant I didn't know much about. I ended up ordering whatever I felt like. The meat sushi and chijimi were delicious. I ordered a black chijimi, perhaps inspired by the name of the Black Hole restaurant, and it was tasty although the appearance was not so appealing. I didn't take a photo of it. The taste was good though! I had a delicious meal. Thank you!

I visited a yakiniku restaurant located near the west exit of Ikebukuro around 2:00 PM on August 8, 2020. The restaurant had a strong presence on the street. I opted for the all-you-can-drink option and ordered a variety of dishes to grill and enjoy. The meat, which seemed to be made from Kagoshima black beef, was tender and of high quality, living up to the restaurant's reputation. The flavor was exceptional. I tried eating the meat with sauce as well, but honestly, it was delicious even with just salt. I had cuts like sirloin, ribeye, kalbi, and meat sushi, all of which were satisfying and tasty. They seemed to offer a variety of rare cuts, but unfortunately, they were low on stock that day, so I couldn't have my favorite zabuton. The atmosphere was pleasant, and overall, I was highly satisfied.

The first choice was full when I called, so I decided to try this restaurant instead. Luckily, there was one private room available. I ordered salted tongue, assorted meats, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), cold noodles, namul (seasoned vegetables), kimchi platter, and a medium rice. The quality of each meat was quite good and easy to eat. The yukhoe was served in a typical packaged style, which may feel a bit lacking for some. The cold noodles were just the right size after having various dishes. This restaurant gave off a vibe that sets it apart from typical chain BBQ places. I left feeling satisfied. I slid into the almost full restaurant. It was a yakiniku place with a wide variety of drinks, and it said you could have all-you-can-drink for 2000 yen. However, when I ordered, a different all-you-can-drink menu came out. Come on, that's confusing. Anyway, I ordered the recommended set of beef cuts, assorted hormones, sliced harami, kalbi, loin, liver, etc. They were all delicious, but I especially liked the harami, hormones, and kalbi. It was my first time thinking tripe was delicious. A bowl of shredded cabbage came out first, which was all-you-can-eat. It was good, especially with the slightly spicy dressing. Does it make the guilt a little lighter? Lastly, I had yukkejang kookpa. It had a unique taste with a mix of sweetness and spiciness. I found it interesting. When I paid, I was surprised. Did I eat this much? Looking at the receipt, the recommended set was 2500 yen per person, cabbage appetizer was 500 yen per person, and all-you-can-drink was 2000 yen per person. That's already 5000 yen per person. Yes, I ate it all. It was delicious, but still a bit pricey. Sorry for being picky.

I was impressed by the friendly and fresh staff who provided excellent customer service. It's nice that you can get unlimited cabbage salad refills. However, considering the location, the price of the meat and other dishes may be a bit high for what you get. Personally, I would like to try the upper kalbi and yukhoe again next time I visit. I wonder if the price goes up significantly if you don't drink much alcohol...

I finished my errands around 9 PM and felt like having yakiniku, so I visited this restaurant. Here are my thoughts on the menu I ordered. First, the appetizer. It was a mountain of cabbage for all-you-can-eat, served with a stylish dressing container. The cabbage was thinly shredded, but I was worried that the dressing would get warm from the yakiniku grill. The beef tongue was much thinner than I expected, but the Korean seaweed that came with the yukhoe was delicious. The premium harami had too much fat for harami, but it was still tasty. I enjoyed the sirloin, although it was a bit tough. Overall, the cost performance was good, and the location was convenient. If the timing is right, I would like to visit this restaurant again.

Friday night visit. The restaurant is spacious, with both a first floor and a second floor. Each table is properly separated, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The staff are friendly and the cost performance is good. There is a wide variety of options, with the five kinds of meat platter (serving for 2 people or more / starting at ¥2,500 per person) being recommended. You can enjoy one piece of each of the five different cuts of meat, allowing you to try various types at once, making it a great choice for those who want to sample different kinds. Although there are no photos, the cold noodles are also highly recommended! A satisfying yakiniku restaurant!

The meat is juicy with a good amount of fat and is tender and delicious. However, there are some parts with tendons. It is tastier than regular yakiniku chain restaurants! When we ordered a la carte, it was quite pricey. (^_^;)

Before noon, I had some errands in Ikebukuro, so I was wandering around the west exit when I noticed a yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant with an interesting name. I decided to give it a try! I arrived just before opening time, so I killed time nearby until they opened. After having my temperature checked and ordering a drink, I was seated. Although they had lunch options, I decided to order from the a la carte menu. I was planning to have a light beer with my meal, but my companion ended up ordering quite a lot of food. I tried the Chorogi salad, top mino (beef stomach), dragon kalbi, and two types of negi (green onion). The salad had a rich flavor which paired well with my beer. The dragon kalbi was tender and flavorful. I highly recommend the top mino, which was incredibly delicious. I already love mino, but this one was exceptional - crunchy but not tough at all! I will definitely order two plates of it next time I visit. I look forward to returning when I'm in Ikebukuro again. Thank you for the meal!
