In the scorching heat with a temperature exceeding 34 degrees and humidity at 56%, we finished our moving task and decided to have lunch at Asahiya. I ordered the large serving of chilled vinegar citrus soba without hesitation. My wife ordered the popular No.1 dish, shrimp tempura soba. The chilled vinegar citrus soba comes with two large ice cubes, which are made from frozen broth. It gives a cold impression without diluting the broth. I started by eating without adding any condiments. The combination of vinegar citrus broth and soba is harmonious and delicious. The broth is truly amazing. After eating about a third of the soba, I added chopped green onions and pickled ginger, mixed them, and then sipped the broth. The aroma of pickled ginger overpowers the green onions, but the green onions help balance the strong scent of pickled ginger. The addition of plum meat in the broth enhances the traditional Japanese flavor. I love chilled vinegar citrus soba. By the way, when I tried my wife's green onion tempura with rock salt, it was delicious. It was made with Senju green onions, which are rare. The tempura made only with small shrimp and green onions was unique. Thank you for the delicious meal. It was really good.

My wife requested to eat cold sudachi soba for the first time in a while, so we went to Asahiya for the first time in 3 years. Both my wife and I ordered the cold sudachi soba. I got the large portion. The prices seemed to have increased by about 1.5 times, with the regular size costing ¥1,480 and the large size costing an additional ¥250. First, I tried the broth without adding the condiments of green onions, umeboshi, and myoga, and as always, it was delicious. The cold broth made from dried bonito flakes was not too strong or too weak, and combined perfectly with the flavor of sudachi. The soba noodles had a firm texture and paired excellently with the broth. When you add the condiments, the flavor of the broth changes instantly, enhancing the taste and aroma even more. It's regrettable that I hadn't visited this place in years despite living nearby, as the food is so delicious. Lastly, mixing the broth and soba water to drink provides a different taste experience. The cold soba tea also helped balance out the flavors in my mouth and stomach. They pay attention to detail with their dishes. Thank you for the meal.

☟Ordered Items☟Chilled Shrimp and Seaweed Soba - ¥1,480Chilled Sudachi Soba - ¥1,380------------------------------------------------I found an incredibly delicious soba restaurant in the neighborhood♡ The chilled shrimp soba I ordered is the most popular dish in the restaurant. It had plenty of plump shrimp and green onion tempura, and it was really delicious. The soba noodles had a nice texture, being made of 80% buckwheat flour and 20% wheat flour. The chilled sudachi soba was refreshing with a nice accent of myoga. It was truly the perfect soba dish to have in the summer☺️ The weekday lunch menu seems like a good deal too, so I would love to visit again when I have the chance☺️☺️✍️The tempura was also crispy and delicious at this soba restaurant------------------------------------------------

There were two Asahiya restaurants near my previous house, and now there are also two near my new house. However, apart from the name, they don't have much in common. This place is the most relaxing Asahiya I've ever been to. The cafeteria-style set meals that were available at other Asahiya locations are nowhere to be found here. At night, they offer menu items that go well with alcohol, giving it a cozy izakaya vibe.

Since moving here, we have frequented a nearby soba restaurant many times, which has become our go-to place. I usually order the shrimp and vegetable soba, but today I tried their New Year's soba special, which came with tempura. The gentle flavor of the 80% buckwheat soba was really nice.

Located in the middle of a residential area in Meguro's Hikawadani, just a few minutes walk from Aeon on Meguro Street towards the church direction, is a small soba restaurant on the left side. Inside the restaurant, jazz music plays, creating a stylish atmosphere. The menu boasts of all homemade, additive-free soba, udon, and dipping sauce. The udon takes about 8 minutes to cook to ensure it is served freshly boiled. Some of the menu items include Tempura Soba for 1,880 yen and a small serving of seasonal mixed rice for 480 yen. The soba is made from a blend of 20% buckwheat flour ground with a stone mill. Himalayan rock salt is provided, perfect for dipping tempura or sprinkling on the soba. A creamy white soba soup is served in a small cup, which pairs well with the soba. The food is delicious, but the prices are on par with top restaurants in the city, making it a point of contention whether it is worth the expense.

I had the seiro soba with shrimp. The restaurant is quite small, only able to accommodate about 5 groups, so it can get crowded during lunchtime. Due to the location having few other restaurants around, it's understandable. The lunch menu is extensive and it's hard to decide what to order (laughs). They also offer takeout, so I recommend calling ahead and picking it up. I will definitely visit again!

I felt like eating soba on a hot summer day, so I went to a restaurant. I ordered a set meal of soba with tempura, rice, and three side dishes for 1150 yen, which was relatively cheap for this area. Everything was delicious and I left feeling satisfied. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, so I would like to go back at night. The cold sudachi soba that my companion had was also delicious.

There is a small soba restaurant near Ion Style Monument Valley. The seating inside is limited, so it quickly fills up with a few groups. The menu includes dashimaki tamago, cold shrimp and vegetable soba, and sesame sauce soba. The dashimaki tamago has a delicious dashi flavor and is a must-order dish. The cold shrimp and vegetable soba features freshly fried shrimp and thick green onions, which pairs well with the soba. The sesame sauce soba has a tasty sesame sauce that is so good, you might end up ordering more. The Hokkaido soba has a subtle fragrance, so this place is all about savoring the flavors of the broth.

At the Aeon Style in Ishibumigai, there is always a long line at a certain restaurant on the way from the parking lot. Even though there are other soba restaurants nearby, this one always has a line. It seems like the popular lunch deals on weekdays are a hit, but they don't offer them on weekends. The small restaurant quickly fills up with around a dozen people. No wonder there's a line. I ordered the pork dipping soba for 1050 yen. The soba was really delicious! The dipping sauce was full of pork and green onions, and it was tasty. However, the portion was small! I could have eaten about 2 more noodles. My wife ordered the sesame dipping soba, which was also rich and delicious, but still a small portion. It might be better to go for a rice set meal.

Located on the left side when walking from Aeon Beppuguya towards the Salesio Church, this small soba noodle shop opens before its competitor "Yoshinori" at 12 o'clock. Four customers were waiting before opening time, and as soon as the shop opened, they entered. Shortly after, three more customers arrived, filling up the seats. The warm shrimp soba costs 1250 yen before tax. The shop has limited seating by spacing out the tables and controlling the number of customers to prevent overcrowding. Even though it's a small shop, they have made efforts to ensure a safe dining environment. The kitchen is partially visible, and it seems that the elderly lady is boiling the soba, likely the owner. The warm soba arrived with a slice of yuzu peel, giving off a delightful aroma. The broth tasted strongly of soy sauce with a hint of acidity, making it quite flavorful. The shrimp tempura and thickly sliced green onions in the dish were delicious. The hot shrimp tempura was tasty, and the sweet green onions added a nice touch. The soba noodles were thin and white in color, which I found to be quite delicious, although I'm not an expert on soba. The noodles were cooked just right, making it easy to eat. I finished the meal by adding toppings like green onions, tempura crumbs, and chili powder. I even drank up all the broth, as it was so delicious. The soba water was thick and hot, providing a comforting warmth. This place is popular among couples and families who have finished shopping at Aeon and are looking for a light lunch option.

Soba restaurant in Beimon Valley area. Lunch is very popular. Due to social distancing, the seating inside is limited. The lunch menu is extensive and all look delicious. For an additional cost, you can change to sesame sauce. I tried it and it was rich and tasty. The side dishes are lightly seasoned. Dessert options like soba dumplings were tempting but I refrained as I had work in the afternoon. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I visited this soba restaurant for lunch after a weekend walk. It is located between Aeon Style Himonya and the Salesian Church. Despite its name "Asahi-ya," which suggests a casual soba shop, the restaurant had a high-end atmosphere with Nora Jones playing in the background. Even though it was late for lunch, the place was packed, indicating its popularity. As it was my first time there, I ordered the "Seiro (large) soba for 935 yen." They had new soba available, made from soba ground with a stone mill in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The soba broth was rich with the flavor of bonito flakes. The soba noodles were smooth and delicious. The soba soup was thick and creamy. I imagined it would go well with soba shochu. They also offer tempura soba and seasonal soba with various toppings. It was a great find that made me wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood. *Accepted PayPay payments.

I ordered Sudachi Soba and Anago Tempura Soba. Personally, I like the taste of countryside soba, even though it didn't have that distinctive soba aroma, it was still delicious. Noteworthy is not only the soba itself, but also the condiments, dipping sauce, soba-yu, and tempura were all delicious and enjoyable. The Sudachi Soba was refreshing and perfect for summer, with a strong myoga aroma and the balance with the dipping sauce was excellent and delicious.

Spending a relaxing long holiday in Tokyo is not a bad idea at all (*´▽`*) There are delicious soba shops and sweet shops working hard, so why not enjoy them? Today, I went for a walk from Rinshi no Mori Park towards Himonya while doing some shopping for lifestyle goods. To reminisce about the old-established soba shop "Asahi-ya" on Meguro Gonnosuke-zaka that sadly closed down, I decided to visit this "Asahi-ya" belonging to the same association. The nearest station is Tokyu Toyoko Line Gakugeidaigaku Station, but it's quite a distance, so taking the Tokyu bus from JR Meguro Station towards Futakotamagawa Station or Todoroki Soshajo Station is convenient. Get off at Himonya Go-chome Koban bus stop. Turn left before Aeon Style Himonya and walk for about 3 minutes until you see the shop on your left. I arrived at the shop around 1:20 PM during the Golden Week holiday, and luckily there were no other customers, so I chose a seat at the front of the entrance where the air was refreshing. The interior of the shop was very clean and stylish. I wanted to start with beer, but when I saw a sake that looked good for hot sake, I couldn't resist (*´▽`*) I paired the hot sake from Hiroshima's "Kamo Tsuru" with the sweet "soba miso" appetizer, and it was a perfect match. The "seasonal vegetable tempura" with coarse salt and Rishiri kelp for pickling was also tempting, so I ordered it. The tempura was skillfully made, with fresh green asparagus, sweet new onions, crispy shiitake mushrooms, fluffy sweet potatoes, and creamy pumpkin. As I enjoyed the tempura, I couldn't help but order a second sake, this time a chilled one from Higashimurayama called "Juyemon." It had a slightly fruity aroma and a smooth sweet finish, which I found charming. The soba noodles were freshly made and had a clean and sharp appearance. The aroma of the soba was noticeable, and the texture was refreshing. The soba-yu had a slightly thick consistency, and when mixed with the flavorful dipping sauce and topped with green onions, it was a delicious way to finish the meal. The owner, who I assume is also the head chef, made a brief appearance as I was leaving, which left a good impression. It turns out she has been running the shop for 15 years. I'll definitely be stopping by for a quick visit in the future! (*´▽`*)

Last year, I saw "Yoshihoshi" right in front of me, but this year I decided to go here instead. On New Year's Eve, the staff were energetically selling takeout soba noodles in front of the shop. For 1500 yen, you get 2 servings of soba noodles with green onions and broth. Many people buy soba noodles here and then buy tempura at the nearby AEON. My family and I decided to eat inside the shop this time. We went for the usual, safe and satisfying soba noodles. There is a completely different soba noodle shop right in front, but if you want a quick and filling meal, I recommend choosing Asahiya. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went to a soba restaurant called Asahiya in the direction of Gakugeidaigaku Station for lunch. It's located in a residential area and offers a lunch set limited to 20 servings. The set includes cold soba noodles with sesame sauce, vegetable tempura, pickles, rice ball with mixed ingredients, and a small side dish. It was a lively and enjoyable meal.

I often use this restaurant when I go shopping at Ion and want to eat. It was around 7:00 pm and the restaurant was full. I waited for about 10 minutes. They always play jazz as background music. On this day, I wanted to eat Toriten soba, so I ordered Toriten (a la carte) and Seiro (a la carte) together. The Toriten had a crispy coating and tender meat, it was delicious. Besides that, I also had tamagoyaki, spinach with sesame dressing, shirasu with grated daikon, negi nuta, salad, and soba tofu. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture... Asaichiya offers a variety of a la carte side dishes, so I'm happy that I can get plenty of vegetables, not just noodles. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again!

I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon and it was delicious, warming me up from the inside out. I also enjoyed the tempura toppings. I lined up before the opening and was able to get a seat right away, but it seems like making a reservation would be more reliable.

I happened to come across a soba restaurant while exploring a new street, and decided to give it a try. I ordered the seasonal tempura soba set. The soba noodles were thin and smooth, with a satisfying chewiness. It was delicious! I'll definitely get the large portion next time. The dipping sauce was lightly sweet, and the tempura had a nice vegetable aroma. I highly recommend it!
