At dusk the other day, I went to a stylish Western-style izakaya with four close friends. The organizer, who used to live in Sengawa, made the arrangements. The restaurant had a trendy atmosphere with a main counter seat, table seats, and a sunken kotatsu-style seating area. We sat in the sunken area at the invitation of a young lady. We ordered four beers and one oolong tea for the non-drinker and made a toast. We quickly ordered today's dishes: edamame, a whimsical salad, simmered daikon with pork belly, and butter-fried clams, two of each. After finishing the beers, the four of us switched to red wine in a decanter, while the non-drinker had more oolong tea. The dishes served were all delicious, especially the simmered daikon with pork belly, which stood out as a great izakaya dish. When we had finished about four bottles of wine from the decanter, we added an omelette and a stone-grilled crab and egg fried rice (I love eggs...) and devoured them together. The banquet ended with a happy ending. The young ladies serving us were a little inexperienced and lacked attention to detail, but they were pleasant and well-balanced. In conclusion, the bill came out to about 3,500 yen per person, which was quite reasonable. The taste, price, and atmosphere were all at a high level, making it a very nice izakaya. If they further refine their customer service and come up with their own specialties, they have the potential to become a highly popular restaurant that is difficult to book. I thought this when I visited Kamei-san before, but Sengawa has some good places to drink. Don't underestimate it.

Women love this kind of place. With tall sofas where you can create your own world, a counter surrounding the kitchen in a U-shape, and warm indirect lighting shining through beautiful patterned Japanese paper, the atmosphere is top-notch. It seems like mostly groups of women or mixed groups visit this place. The food is great! The portions are a bit on the smaller side, but since it's delicious, it's all good. Everything we tried was a hit. Especially the fried burdock was amazing. The burdock was fried until it became soft and fluffy, with a crispy coating! We couldn't stop drinking~ There are various types of alcohol available. There is wine, but there is a wide selection of highballs, sake, and shochu. There were many local sake options. It was fun! We drank Red Warrior, Yuki no Bosha, and Sawanoi each for sake, and Yamazaki and Hakushu for highballs. We also ordered about 8 dishes, and it came to around 6000 yen per person. In terms of how full our stomachs were, it was a bit, well, a bit pricey... but anyway, with a wide variety of drinks, great taste, and a fantastic atmosphere, this trendy izakaya is a big hit. I'm so satisfied and I want to go again. Next time, I might eat something before going!

The menu at this restaurant seems to have a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, with generous portions. The staff are all cool guys, which makes this place likely to be popular with women. The burdock tempura, saury fish, and large salad were all delicious, but the standout dish was the crab pasta we ordered at the end! This is a must-try when you come here. I definitely want to go back again.

I used it for a year-end party♪ The food was delicious and very satisfying♪ I was a little surprised when the salad came in the middle of the meal, but the bread, carpaccio, chicken cutlet? and the pasta at the end were amazing♪ I will definitely go back♪

We used this restaurant for a company drinking party. There were 7 of us, so we were guided to a private room and were able to relax. The distance between us and others was maintained, so it felt like a semi-private room. We had the oh! Yane-ya course with all-you-can-drink (4000 yen), and the dishes were all really delicious. Some dishes that you don't often see in other restaurants' courses were served as well. I would like to go again.

I feel like eating the large serving of crab pasta again. The shirako is delicious too, it's an irresistible season. It's a casual place where you can relax, chat, and drink, so I think this place is pretty good in Sengawa. I want to go one more time before winter is over.

We ordered the banquet course and the food was delicious. The restaurant was almost full. However, it took too long for the drinks to arrive. The attitude of the staff was also very bad. It was very disappointing.

Beautiful exterior and interior. Used by a group of 3 men and women. Enjoyed beer and whiskey while ordering salad and meat dishes. Overall, did not leave a strong impression. Layout and atmosphere make it difficult to use for individuals.

Located a 5-minute walk from Sengawa Station, this restaurant serves creative cuisine. The Crab Miso Fried Potato is priced at 540 yen and features thinly sliced fried potatoes with a strong crab miso flavor that is irresistible. The Tomato Pasta with Snow Crab is priced at 1250 yen and has a visually impactful presentation, with soft crab shells and delicious meat. The Crispy Fried Chicken Wings are priced at 340 yen and seasoned with various spices, making them a great accompaniment to drinks. I have visited this restaurant several times and everything is delicious. It is a cozy izakaya with a calm atmosphere. Thank you for the meal.

A little away from Sengawa Station, there is an Italian izakaya located on a narrow street near Toho Gakuen... I think. Although it is categorized as an izakaya on Tabelog, the menu gives off more of an Italian vibe. It's surprising to find such a stylish restaurant in Sengawa, even though it's tucked away in an alley. However, I found the staff's customer service a bit questionable. There were many young male staff who seemed like part-timers, and the service was not very attentive. We started with some draft beer, which was nicely chilled. The appetizer was something like a bagna cauda, crunchy and tasty. For our first dish, we ordered the seared pork for 580 yen. When you think of seared pork, you might expect thick slices of meat, so I was surprised to see thin slices of char siu seared on a burner right in front of us. The price seemed a bit high for what we got. However, the searing was done just right. We also tried the crab pasta in a half-size portion for 850 yen. Despite being a half-size, it was a decent amount of pasta, and the creamy sauce was rich and flavorful, making it quite delicious. Overall, I was satisfied. While the pasta, a main dish, was tasty, the appetizers were a bit lacking, so I think it depends on what you order.

We went to "Ozenya" for the first time with my wife, which our family often uses. We arrived just as they opened and were the first customers. The handsome manager recommended a dish for us, which we ordered and found delicious. Everything we ate was tasty and went well with drinks. In particular, the seared mackerel was excellent! When we felt lazy to order more, my wife ordered a special Mega Highball not on the menu. It was strong and we ended up ordering more. When we paid the bill, we were served delicious miso soup as a finishing touch. We now understand why our family frequents this place. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

In January 2016: During the New Year when everything was closed, I visited this place because it was open. This place has been open for 15 years now, and although the staff has changed, they still manage to maintain a good taste. The shrimp avocado salad, deep-fried daikon radish, amberjack collar grilled, oyster fry, and baked sweet potato with blue cheese were all quite good. The bill for two people came to 8,694 yen, which was reasonable. In April 2011: A beautiful lady suddenly had some free time, so I had the pleasure of accompanying her. Next to us was a newly opened donut shop that was currently popular. We arrived at 8:00 pm, which was late, but after a round, we managed to find a seat. The beautiful lady couldn't miss the specialty here, the seared cured mackerel and snow crab pasta. We also ordered shrimp ajillo. We toasted with beer, and were served deep-fried tofu as an appetizer. The seared mackerel was brought in, and a performance of searing it with a burner was done right in front of us. The protein changed when seared, enhancing the flavor. It was delicious with the mustard. The lady enjoyed the snow crab pasta with tomato sauce and was impressed by the taste. The shrimp ajillo was hot, and the shrimp skin was so crispy that you could eat it whole. We dipped the bread in the sauce and enjoyed it. This place is popular among women, possibly because of the nearby music school. Many hair salon staff in the area also use it for girls' nights out. It's a hidden gem on the street of the Ie-yan, which might be appealing. The snow crab tomato pasta is a favorite among 80% of women. I used it for a few condo association parties, and the party course was very satisfying. The seared mackerel sushi was particularly delicious. Despite the expectation of seafood and Japanese cuisine, they also offer Korean pancakes, pasta, and international dishes. While there are various izakayas in Sengawa, this place is now considered a long-established one. If it's a casual father's night out, it would be Namihanaya or Kikuya, but if there are stylish women, they would definitely choose this place over chain izakayas near the station.
