Near Kanda Station, there is a bakery that sells handmade sandwiches and bagels. The store has a limited selection of items displayed in the center. I decided to go with a bagel and a roll bread sandwich. The bagel had a chewy texture with lettuce, ham, and cheese filling. The roll bread sandwich was on the smaller side with a menchi-katsu filling. Overall, the flavors were simple and nothing extraordinary. It was just an average bakery.

Yamazaki Bakery franchise located in a narrow alley near the east exit of Kanda Station, selling bread and onigiri. I visited the store after stopping by Fuji Pan in front of the station. It was slightly past 12 pm on a weekday, the exterior looked quite old and the interior was dimly lit. The shelves displayed bread that seemed to be directly delivered from the factory, similar to what you would see in supermarkets. The central showcase had a variety of Yamazaki's homemade products. There were two types of onigiri and around 8 types of sandwich-like items, with only a few left. By the way, they provided plastic bags for 2 yen each. I purchased the following items: - "White Fish Fry Tartar Sandwich (¥165)" - "Salmon Onigiri (¥110)" The "White Fish Fry Sandwich" seemed to have homemade tartar sauce. It also included chopped pickles and sweet relish, with a mild flavor. The crunchy cabbage added a nice texture. The "Onigiri" was slightly smaller than convenience store sizes. It was moist and fluffy, with a nice balance of salmon flakes and rice. It had a simple homemade taste, perfect for a rustic breakfast.

A bakery located a few minutes' walk from the east exit of Kanda Station, across the central street. Despite being affiliated with a major bread company, this bakery is known for its handmade deli sandwiches and onigiri that are both delicious and affordable. I decided to stop by on my way to work after hearing about it. The shop has a nostalgic, old-fashioned feel, which seems out of place in the bustling city near the station. When I arrived around 7:40 am, there was a limited selection of bread, including delivery items from the factory and homemade deli sandwiches. Unfortunately, they were out of onigiri. I purchased the Menchi Katsu Roll, Wiener Roll, Hamburg Cheese Sandwich, and White Fish Tartar for 100-150 yen each. I assumed the meat in the sandwiches was frozen, but after trying them, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty they were. The meat in the Hamburg and Menchi Katsu was coarse-ground, and the onions were finely chopped, making me wonder if they were handmade. Despite my initial doubts due to the low prices, the breakfast I had for 230 yen was satisfying. I heard that the owner, who is around the same age as me, used to carry the mikoshi at the Kanda Festival. I hope they can expand their bread selection and bring more energy to the shop.

Today, even at lunchtime, my stomach wasn't feeling great... So I decided to have a banana that I brought with me to this bakery. It was close to 1 PM and most of the items were already sold out, but they still had bagel sandwiches and croquette bread. I tried the mixed sandwich (220 yen) with fresh tomato and boiled egg on one side, and tuna and lettuce on the other. The bread was soft and moist, with a nostalgic and delicious taste. Next time, I want to visit in the morning and try their side dish bread.

Today, I didn't have time to prepare breakfast and left the house without eating. By chance, I was able to catch an earlier train than usual from Minami-Urawa Station this morning, so I decided to take a detour through the Kodenmacho area from Kanda Station on my way to work. As I exited the east exit, which was different from my usual route, I soon came across a quaint bakery called "Monteyama Zaki". Although it seemed to be influenced by Yamazaki Bakery from its name, this bakery was selling handmade sandwiches. I thought if they had something nice, I could have it for breakfast, so I decided to go in. The selection inside the store was quite unique, reminiscent of the bakery that used to come to my high school during lunchtime. Even the "mixed sandwich" had slightly different fillings, giving it a homemade feel. Among them, the "Crab Salad Sandwich (220 yen)" caught my eye, so I bought it. When I brought it to the office in a bag, it had completely lost its shape, which added to its homemade charm (laughs). Well, once I took a bite, it had a simple taste with crab sticks, but compared to convenience store sandwiches, it had a certain warmth to it. Well, it's nice to have something like this once in a while (6 out of 10 points).

◆Let's all follow the manners and enjoy dining out with peace of mind!❣️ In mid-July, I had an early morning work meeting near Kanda Station. I decided to get breakfast to go from a bakery located just a 2-3 minute walk from the station. I was hoping to buy not only bread but also onigiri (rice balls) from this place, but to my disappointment, there were no onigiri available at all. When I asked the staff (probably the owner), he mentioned that usually they have them ready by this time, but it seems they were running late today. Even though I looked disappointed, he kindly brought down the two freshly made onigiri from the kitchen on the second floor (^。^) <To go order> Tuna and egg mix sandwich ¥190 Salmon onigiri ¥105 Kombu (kelp) onigiri ¥105 The onigiri were freshly made and warm (^。^), slightly small in size but filled with generous fillings, and most importantly, the rice was delicious. The sandwich, although a bit small in portion, was freshly made and homemade, allowing me to enjoy it without any worries. Thank you for the meal (^。^) ◆◇Onigiri Scenery / Second Scenery◇◆

Is this place affiliated with Yamazaki Pan? The name of the store and the products on display seem to suggest so. I chose something called Mararakaou, which seems like a pastry or steamed bun? I'm not sure. The name has a Chinese or Southeast Asian feel to it. It's quite sweet, but not as sweet as cake. It has raisins scattered throughout, which are delicious! I bought two because one wasn't enough, but it was a bit too much for breakfast. Still, it was tasty. Thank you for the meal!

Monte Yamazaki☆Kanda here. Anpan... 100 yen. Almond something? 133 yen. This shop is located 150 meters from Kanda Station. I arrived! Mugei Koshoku-san posted a review recently and I came right away (laughs). I finished my night shift today and it was raining cold so by the time I got here, most of the items were sold out. I bought this one. I really wanted to choose different ones but oh well. Yeah, it doesn't look like your typical industrial bread. It has a gentle sweetness and I finished it in no time. But I wanted to try something else (cries).

This is a bakery located straight east from the east exit of JR Kanda Station, across Central Street and down the street on the right side of FamilyMart. They open at 7 am, and you might see Yamazaki trucks delivering bread around that time. They sell original deli bread and sandwiches, including some for only 100 yen. When you buy bread, they include a handwritten "Kanda Weekly News" in the bag, which is fun to read. I also got information about the Kanda Halloween Ball here. Their specialties include a Kagoshima black pork cutlet roll for 100 yen, croquette dog for 150 yen, hamburger cheese sandwich for 130 yen, cheese cream stick pie for 100 yen, and milk chocolate cream cornet for 113 yen.

Unexpectedly, there are a few bakeries in the Kanda/Ochanomizu area that are closed on weekends and holidays, catering mainly to office workers. I decided to consciously visit these bakeries recently, and ended up reviewing "Candy" located just off Chuo Street, and "Fuji Pan Kanda" on Nihonbashi Street. Both bakeries offered good value for money, with Candy receiving a rating of 3.7 and Fuji Pan a rating of 3.5. I am always on the lookout for high-value bakeries, and have been documenting my findings on Tabelog (including "High-Value Bakeries in Tokyo" and "High-Value Bakeries in Kanagawa Prefecture"). I realized that bakeries closed on weekends and holidays in office districts are a good target for exploration. Before the Obon holiday, I took a day off and visited the only bakery in the Kanda/Ochanomizu area that was open on weekends and holidays. The bakery was called Monteyamazaki, and seemed to be related to Yamazaki Pan based on the name. The store was small, offering sandwiches, bagels, bento boxes, and other food items. The prices were very affordable, with items like curry bread for 117 yen and pizza bread for 110 yen. I purchased a whole sausage for 122 yen and a red bean paste and margarine coppe bread for 111 yen, totaling 233 yen. The prices were incredibly cheap, and the quality was similar to mass-produced bread. I heated the whole sausage in the oven and had it for breakfast the next day, finding the taste to be average. The coppe bread was also unremarkable in taste but had a satisfying size. Overall, the bakery provided good value for money, possibly due to its affiliation with Yamazaki Pan.

I used it for lunch this time. I was unsure what to get, but I ended up purchasing a high-class cream bun. Purchase content: High-class cream bun 122 yen. The high-class cream bun is a classic-looking cream bun. It has smooth custard cream inside a moist dough. The sweetness was just right and it was delicious. The shop has a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere. I would be happier if the staff's payment handling was a bit more polite. It is a bakery near Kanda Station.

The handmade sandwiches made at this shop are delicious. I bought a vegetable sandwich and a hamburger dog. The vegetable sandwich was simple and tasty with fresh lettuce. The hamburger dog was full of ingredients and had a satisfying taste, making it great value for money. Next time, I want to try a sweet bread.

Located about a 1-minute walk from JR Kanda Station East Exit, in a corner of the office district. I visited during lunchtime, but couldn't see the inside of the shop. There were some menus displayed, so I decided to go in. There were several breads lined up along the wall, with sandwiches, rice balls, and drinks taking up most of the shop's space in the center. Perhaps because it was late, there weren't many options and it was hard to choose... I wanted bread, but couldn't find what I was looking for so I gave up. I purchased a salmon rice ball (\105) and a castella cake (\45). The small rice ball had seaweed wrapped around it. The salmon was in the center, but there wasn't much. Please note that it contained bones and was not in flake form. The castella cake was individually wrapped. It seemed homemade and was quite sweet. They also included a handwritten note at the time of payment. Shops like this seem to be becoming less common nowadays.

Before work, I looked for breakfast. I wandered around the town using the transfer at Kanda. Kanda Kajicho has quite an impressive name. Monte Yamazaki is open from around 7 o'clock. The lighting is dim, so it's hard to see inside, but I might try their breakfast sandwich. Inside the store, there are shelves with various snacks and products. In the middle, there is a case with bento boxes and sandwiches. Inside, there are two hot dogs for 150 yen each and one croquette dog for 150 yen. It seems like they are still in the process of making them. I decided to get the croquette dog for 150 yen. I ate it on a nearby bench. I took a big bite. The croquette was covered in a sweet and savory sauce with minced meat inside. It was an ordinary croquette, nothing special. It came with coleslaw on the side, which was a mix of shredded cabbage and a little bit of carrot in a slightly sweet mayo dressing. The hot dog bun was spread with spicy margarine, giving it a nostalgic vibe. I remember sandwiches used to have a lot of mustard in them. These were sandwiched between a fluffy bun. Thank you for the meal. I wonder if they have a more varied selection for lunch...

This is a bakery and bento shop located near Kanda Station. I arrived just before 9 am on a weekday to buy breakfast, and found that many items were already sold out. It seems that the peak commuting time has passed, as this shop is quite popular. I purchased a ham cutlet sandwich (190 yen), a coronet (105 yen), and a salmon rice ball (105 yen). The ham cutlet sandwich is smaller than those you would find at a convenience store, but the ham inside is thick and tasty. The coronet was average, and the rice ball was small but cheap. For those who enjoy affordable local gourmet options, the name "Monte Yamazaki" may come to mind, as it is a shop in Yachiyo, Chiba known for Brazilian cuisine. However, this shop does not offer such unique items. It is just a regular bakery and bento shop.
