"I may be dining alone, but so what?" Ramen, yakiniku, sushi... I can go anywhere by myself~ This time, I went for the all-you-can-eat yakiniku lunch at the restaurant called Guigu in a clean mixed-use building near Minami-Ikebukuro Park, not towards the Sunshine area in Ikebukuro East Exit! The lunch is only for 60 minutes or 90 minutes, and I actually wanted 120 minutes, but I chose the 90-minute option for ¥1600 (excluding tax). I have been here a few times, and when dining alone, they usually seat you at a table facing the window with other tables behind you, so it's not embarrassing at all^^ The lineup is as follows. ************************************************【Meat Corner】Pork belly, samgyeopsal, kalbi, pot-cooked kalbi, harami, maruchou, shimachou, sausage, hamburger, squid, etc. Sauces: miso sauce, soy sauce, salt sauce, ponzu, salt, chili pepper, nam pla, garlic, gochujang, grated daikon, and more【Vegetable Corner】Salad: lettuce, okra, broccoli, edamame, macaroni salad Grilling: cabbage, onion, pumpkin, garlic, etc.【Noodle, Rice Corner】Ramen, udon, spaghetti Ramen soup: tonkotsu, miso, salt soup Pasta sauce, udon soup Toppings: wakame seaweed, tempura flakes Rice, curry, ochazuke base, sushi【Fried Food Corner】Tempura, chicken wings, potato fries, karaage, self-fried skewers【Dessert】Pudding, almond jelly, orange, grapefruit, cherries, factory-made cakes various kinds Make-your-own corner: cotton candy, crepes, soft serve ice cream, ice cream, toppings: whipped cream, chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, black honey, flakes, etc.【Drinks】Family restaurant-style drink machine, limited variety ************************************************Eating yakiniku alone at the table. How luxurious~ (laughs) With various types of sauces, you can enjoy different flavors. The miso sauce kalbi wrapped in lettuce, the melty shimachou with plenty of fat, the plump maruchou, they were all delicious~ Not only the meat but also unlimited rice, cheaper than other yakiniku lunches! It's too good to be true! The noodle corner is a DIY type where you boil and drain frozen ramen, udon, and spaghetti in a sieve and customize the soup as well! I boiled cabbage together and made wakame miso ramen, udon with grated daikon and yakiniku sauce ponzu for my cold udon. It's great that you can make what you like! I wasn't very interested in the fried food section, but the chicken wings were crispy and delicious. For dessert, there were factory-direct cakes, cream puffs, cup desserts (pudding, almond jelly, etc.), several fruits, make-your-own corner (crepes, cotton candy), and a bit subtle, but apart from that, I loved the whipped cream and various sauces, ice cream, soft serve ice cream, so I was very satisfied! Of course, you can pile on as much soft serve ice cream, ice cream, and whipped cream as you want! (laughs) You can freely mix and match toppings! So, the 90 minutes flew by in no time. To eat efficiently, you need a strategy for the time to fetch food and grill meat. First, grab what you can eat right away and the meat to grill, sauces, etc., then line up the meat on the grill, eat what you can right away, go get additional meat, and when you come back, eat the grilled meat, and when the grill is empty, line up more... that way, you can eat quite a lot^^ Even though the buffet table gets empty, they won't add more unless you ask, and the staff's attitude is not very good, but at this price, with all-you-can-eat meat, noodles, dessert, and drinks, those who can overlook the service or taste or quality will find it very cost-effective, I think.
