Recently, I often visit Uotorasan in Hamacho. I have tried their simmered silver cod and sashimi set before. The lunch menu at Uotorasan offers four choices: simmered, sashimi, marinated bowl, and grilled fish. Having already tried the simmered and sashimi, the next options are the marinated bowl or grilled fish. When I asked, they only had the marinated bowl available two times in a row. If you go around 1 pm, the popular dishes may not be available. The marinated tuna bowl probably includes different parts of the tuna - I think it has lean tuna and medium fatty tuna, but there may be other parts as well. The bowl is filled with marinated tuna, and in the center, there are firefly squid, which is in season now. There are two sizes, medium and large, and I ordered the large, which was more than enough. The medium size is like a small to regular portion of a regular rice bowl. The taste of the marinated tuna is outstanding. This was actually the dish that first caught my attention to Uotorasan. After trying it again recently, I am once again impressed by its deliciousness. The menu at Uotorasan consists of four options. Since I haven't had the grilled fish recently, I plan to try that next, followed by the simmered, sashimi, marinated bowl, and grilled fish in order. The marinated bowl was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

If you go there, everyone will eat a meal, they say. Everyone wants to go, to the distant world, the name of that restaurant is Uotora. Somewhere there is a utopia. How can I get there? Please tell me. Gindara, Gindara. They say it was in the sea, Gindara, Gindara. Eat your fill, Gindara. They say even the pain of working disappears. There are also people who eat a lot, it's too thick, that Gindara. A wonderful utopia. Is it a fantasy that enters your stomach?

Located near the Meiji-za theater, this long-established traditional Japanese restaurant is known for its delicious and affordable dishes. I tried the marinated tuna rice bowl this time, which came with a large portion for 1300 yen and included red miso soup, pickles, and bean sprout side dish. Other menu items include salt-grilled mackerel for 1000 yen, sashimi set meal for 1200 yen, simmered dish for 1200 yen, and grilled salmon in foil for 1100 yen. Not only is the cost performance great, but the quality of the ingredients and taste are also exceptional. In Ginza, dishes like these would easily cost around 2000 yen. The restaurant has three tables and two tatami rooms, each seating four people, but if you dine alone, you may have to share a table with others.

Lunch Recommendation: Hamatora in Ningyocho If you're looking for a good lunch spot in Ningyocho, we recommend Hamatora, a traditional Japanese restaurant located a 7-8 minute walk from Ningyocho Station. The closest station is Hamacho Station. The restaurant has a nostalgic feel to it, run by the owner and likely her two sons. With tatami and table seating, the cozy interior is welcoming. Their lunch menu offers a variety of options including grilled fish, simmered dishes, and rice bowl with pickled toppings. During our visit around 12:00 on a weekday, there were 3 groups waiting, but we were seated within 10 minutes. I chose the Silver Cod Simmered Set with extra rice and a side of natto for an additional 50 yen. The main dish, the simmered silver cod, had a thick and tender fillet that practically melted in my mouth. It was so soft that it was challenging to pick up with chopsticks. The flavors of the simmering sauce soaked into the fish, making it a perfect match with the rice. The meal also came with a delightful egg omelet, edamame and enoki mushrooms in a sweet sauce, bean sprout salad, and homemade pickled Chinese cabbage. The soup was a red miso soup with tofu and nameko mushrooms. The generous portion of rice was satisfying, and I finished my meal by mixing in the natto. As we left, we noticed that some menu items were already sold out, so it's best to visit earlier. By 1:00, it seemed like they were running low on dishes. Overall, Hamatora is a great choice for a delicious and satisfying lunch in Ningyocho.

Near Meijiya, there is a restaurant called "Uo Tora" where you can enjoy delicious fish dishes. Despite always having a long line and being a bit far from my home, it is a strong candidate for lunch when working from home. Today's lunch was the large serving of simmered silver cod set meal. All the menu items have excellent quantity and quality, but when I feel like eating something salty, silver cod is the best choice. A thick and tender silver cod set meal arrived. The soft and fluffy flesh, coated in the simmering broth, was excellent! Thank you for the meal. Silver cod simmered to perfection, Sumida River.

Meiji-ya (located near Hamacho Station) is a restaurant called "Uo Tora" where you can enjoy delicious fish dishes. Despite the fact that there is always a line and it is a bit far from my home, it has become a strong candidate for lunch during telecommuting. For lunch, they offer grilled fish, simmered fish, and beautifully sliced sashimi in set meals. They also have a bowl of marinated fish. All the menu items have excellent quality and quantity, and popular items may sell out by early afternoon. It's best to go early. After a 15-minute mental debate, we finally arrived at the restaurant. The atmosphere is like a quaint old house, and we lined up outside until we were told, "We're out of ⚪︎⚪︎." Today, I had decided on the marinated bowl, but somehow ended up with a tuna-based marinated bowl with a soft-boiled egg in the center and garnished with chopped green onions. The well-seasoned tuna marinated generously served. I left feeling full and satisfied. On the way back, feeling the summer breeze, I pondered, "More than meat, I love fish. Could this be the wisdom of middle age?" Unknown to the poets, I am grateful for the daily efforts of running a modest and honest business at this excellent and conscientious restaurant. Thank you for the feast.

For lunch at home, I went to "Uotora". It had been a while since my last visit, but my craving for fish came back. Today, I had the sashimi set meal with extra rice. The sashimi set included thick slices of tuna (medium fatty), salmon, and seared mackerel. It was served generously with a side of dashimaki tamago with edamame paste, red miso soup, bean sprout sesame namul, and pickles. The dashimaki tamago had a delicate salty flavor that complemented the dish well. The red miso soup with diced tofu had a strong taste, creating a nice contrast. It was a delicious meal.

For lunch at home, I had the "Fish Tora" today. I ordered the sashimi set with extra rice. It came with three thick slices of sashimi - tuna (medium fatty), salmon, and seared mackerel, topped with a little seaweed. It also included a rolled omelette with edamame paste, red miso soup, bean sprout sesame namul, and pickles. The sashimi was thick and beautifully cut, and very delicious. The price was 1,200 yen, which is very reasonable considering the quality and quantity. I hope this great restaurant continues to thrive. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I worked from home. It's been a while since I visited "Uotoro". It's been a while since I had a fish lunch. I ordered the simmered cod set meal for 1,200 yen with extra rice. The cod was thick, tender, and delicious. The rich simmered sauce made the rice go down smoothly. They now serve a rolled omelette with edamame paste. It had a light salty flavor which contrasted nicely with the simmered dish. Thank you for the meal. I'm full.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant exudes a traditional feel, offering a variety of fish dishes. Menu items include grilled fish, simmered fish, sashimi, and marinated tuna bowl. The marinated tuna bowl features marinated tuna with a topping of green onions and a hot spring egg, which is incredibly delicious.

I arrived at the restaurant just before noon. The place was crowded with many regular customers. The atmosphere inside was nice, giving off a feeling of a long-established establishment. The lady who seemed like the owner was very friendly. I ordered the sashimi set meal. The presentation was beautiful, and it came with a dish of egg with sauce on top. The miso soup was a bit rich, the sashimi was fresh, and the egg with sauce was delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly. I would like to try the simmered dish next time.

Lunch exploration in the direction of Hamacho. I had the big and plump cod stew lunch for 1200 yen. It is located on a small alley between Kiyosu Bridge Street and Hamacho River Green Road. There are four 4-seater tables and a raised tatami area inside. The interior exudes the atmosphere of Edo. It seems to be a popular lunch spot, as customers keep coming in one after another. The menu includes grilled fish, sashimi, stewed fish sets, and tuna rice bowl, all of which seem to be popular. Today, I had the stewed fish, and many others around me also ordered the same. There are quite a few places around here where you can enjoy delicious fish dishes. When it comes to lunch, this place and one other seem to be the top choices. The highlight here is the large portion of fish fillet and the delicious seasoning that goes perfectly with rice. In about 10 minutes, a big and plump cod stew was served, which melted in your mouth. The side dish included thick rolled omelette with vegetable sauce (broccoli, green beans, enoki mushrooms) that was soft and had a good Kansai-style taste. The red miso soup with nameko mushrooms was a nice touch. The rice was fluffy and delicious, and I finished it in no time. A renowned fish restaurant in Hamacho. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat fish so I decided to try this place for the first time! The cost performance is good here! I arrived around 11 o'clock and it was almost full. There was only one seat available, so I sat in the tatami area. It also came with tamagoyaki, and it cost a little over 1000 yen? Around 1000 yen? I think it's cheap! However, it's hot in the summer!!

I usually go for lunch. I ordered the medium-sized maguro (tuna) bowl for 1100 yen. I remember that before, it didn't have a soft-boiled egg and had a few sweet shrimp on top. I preferred that version. Still, I was very satisfied with the quality and quantity of the tuna. I visited around 1 pm, so the only option available was the maguro bowl.

It's a popular restaurant where most menu items are sold out by 1 pm, except for the tuna marinated rice bowl. I ordered the tuna marinated rice bowl and it was delicious with plenty of tuna that was a perfect mix of lean and fatty cuts. The miso soup with enoki mushrooms was also tasty. I will definitely come back! ♩

On June 26th, I arrived for my first visit at 11:35 and found the restaurant already full with two people in front of me. Three more groups of five people arrived after me. I was seated within 7-8 minutes. The atmosphere inside was charming, with three tables and two sunken tables all set up for shared seating with partitions. It seemed like the mother was in charge of the front of the house and the son was in the kitchen. Their interactions showed a caring relationship. It took 15 minutes from waiting outside to being served. I ordered the simmered silver cod set meal for 1,200 yen. The silver cod was thick and juicy, completely different from what you find in supermarkets. The sweet simmering sauce was rich and seemed to have more sake and mirin. As a child, I used to pour the fish broth over rice, but as an adult, I've stopped doing that. I pondered whether it was due to expanded options, dining etiquette, or something else. The salted egg roll with sauce was equally delicious and could be a meal on its own. I realized that I should have poured the sauce over the rice. The miso soup and pickles were also excellent. Next time, I'll try pouring the sauce over the rice.

I arrived at the peak and the grilled salmon was predictably sold out. I decided to try the marinated tuna bowl for the first time. I'm not a fan of tuna red meat, but I took the challenge! What! Is the red meat aged? It's moist and delicious! Of course, the medium fatty tuna is also perfect. I tried all the varieties, but the marinated tuna bowl is the best ===========

I have been to Fish Tora before for lunch. I had to wait in line again that time. Today, I was in the mood for fish so I was debating between Nishimura-san and Fish Tora. I ended up choosing Fish Tora. I was interested in the marinated tuna bowl, but I decided to go with the simmered silver cod set meal. I also wanted to eat tamagoyaki. The simmered silver cod was sweet, tender, and delicious. The tamagoyaki was like a thick omelette with a nice salty flavor. Alternating between the sweet and salty dishes was really tasty. The pickles were just right. The miso soup was made with red miso, which I haven't had in a while, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I might try the marinated tuna bowl. ※Simmered silver cod set meal ¥1,200

[Last Meal at Rast Saba Teishoku at Kaitori 12:55] I arrived at Fish Tora and was told by the waitress that there were only 3 meals left for lunch service (apologetically). I ordered the last saba shioyaki teishoku for 1000 yen. ① The saba was a generous portion with just the right amount of salt, served with plenty of grated daikon and lemon. ② The meal also included a huge piece of tamagoyaki with edamame, broccoli, and enoki mushrooms in a thick and savory sauce. ③ The meal came with miso soup with tofu and nameko mushrooms. ④ There was also a side dish of sesame-dressed moyashi and pickled hakusai. ⑤ The rice bowl was quite large. The owner, who wears glasses, manages the lunch service alone and prepares 60 meals. The restaurant has two 4-person raised tatami seating areas and three tables, which can accommodate up to 20 people. They have three lunch turnovers from 11:30 am, and try to avoid seating different groups together. I want to try the special Maguro-zuke donburi with simmered silver cod next time.

When I went on a regular day at 1125, I was able to sit in the tatami room smoothly. I ordered the silver cod simmered dish and dashimaki tamago set meal for 1200 yen, which I haven't had in a while. Last time, the flounder was changed to silver cod, but since the broth is the same, it's not a big deal. I wish they would change it back to flounder though. It's a short but unusual review, isn't it? Got to go!

The week has just begun, but as the time left here is decreasing day by day, I don't feel any laziness. I'm not fixated on eating fish at the beginning of the week, but today I headed to a restaurant called "Uotoro" in Hamacho. It's located near Meijiza, so I had put off visiting it before, thinking it was out of my lunch range. However, since I will be leaving this place soon, I decided to go there now to avoid regretting it later. When I arrived, I found a quaint little restaurant with a traditional atmosphere. Even though it was just the start of lunchtime, the place was almost full, indicating its popularity. I went there for the "Tuna Marinated Rice Bowl," and opted for the "large size" as it seemed to offer more value. The bowl was filled with marinated tuna and topped with firefly squid. The presence of handprints of sumo wrestlers around the restaurant hinted that they appreciate good food. The bowl was delicious, with a generous amount of tuna and tasty toppings. Eating such delicious fish early in the week makes me feel happy. (7/10)
