Have you ever eaten kangaroo meat? That's the kind of story that led me to try this place this time. In terms of stations, it's located between Shibuya and Omotesando, just a short distance from Aoyama Gakuin. It's a bit far from either station, so it can be considered a calm location. Going down to the underground, opening the door, and wow! A cave? A cavern? A cellar? The lighting is a bit dim and creates a moody atmosphere. The private rooms are the type where you take off your shoes before entering, so be careful with your socks ( ´艸`) haha. The private rooms are nice too - maybe it's because of the indirect lighting, but the photos come out beautifully, and it's quite relaxing. This time we opted for a course with all-you-can-drink. We started with a toast with sparkling wine ☆ The etiquette is cute and the wine is delicious. Some shelled macadamia nuts are placed on the table as a sort of appetizer. It's exciting to crack them open for the first time! It's satisfying when they crack cleanly... it's fun, so you feel like you want more (laughs). (There is also a macadamia nut cracker available for purchase along with the nuts). The appetizer assortment includes garlic sautéed domestic chicken hearts, seared swordfish, and Kanazawa's Hiramasa carpaccio. I thought they would focus on Australian or New Zealand meat and wine, but I was surprised to see domestic meat and fish, especially ones directly from Kanazawa. The chicken hearts have a firm texture and great seasoning. The fritters are made with a fish called Hoki from New Zealand. It's spicy and pairs well with alcohol! We then switched to white wine ☆ There are two types of red and white wines available, and we started with Riesling. It's also from the same winery as the previous wine, so for a moment, I was about to say, "It's the same as before!" (laughs) Both are delicious. I'm a wine beginner, so I prefer wines like those from Australia rather than heavy or oaky ones. Next is the Australia spice and Awaji onion salad. We also ordered a Chardonnay. The etiquette for this one is cool! The salad is dressed with Australia's Dukkah spice and Awaji onion. We switched to red wine for the cheese risotto. It's strange to have rice in the middle of the course rather than as the finale! The wine is also red this time. Next up is the skewers with kangaroo and crocodile! It was my first time trying them! The kangaroo tastes like lamb... but not as gamey, making it easy to eat. The crocodile is almost indistinguishable from chicken meat! It's light and pairs well with the spicy spices. The other main dish is roasted lamb leg. When I tried kangaroo, I thought it tasted like lamb, but trying lamb now, I realize they're different! The lamb has a wild taste, making you feel like you're eating meat! We switched to red wine for this one. When we entered the restaurant, it was early and there was only one other group besides us, but before we knew it, it was full! We were talking about how amazing it was because of the pandemic and the fact that the location isn't that great. The atmosphere is great, the food is interesting, and the fact that the wine in the all-you-can-drink menu is good is a plus. And of course, the staff is amazing! Not just because they're handsome, but because they're knowledgeable about wine, Australian cuisine, spices, etc., and they explain everything in detail, which is great. If they're just part-timers, then they must be really dedicated to their job. The clientele consists of stylish middle-aged men, couples, colleagues, etc. It's a perfect place to enjoy a casual meal and drinks with close friends, colleagues, or loved ones.
