A curry restaurant located very close to Shibasaki Station. I saw it in a free paper and decided to try it out. It was a Friday night, but the restaurant was quiet with only one group of elderly women besides us. I don't like noisy places, so I felt comfortable. We ordered 2 Naan Special Sets, Garlic Chicken Curry, Butter Chicken Curry, Chicken Masala Curry, and Seafood Curry, along with Lassi. We changed the Naan to Cheese Naan, and it was delicious with the gooey cheese. The Naan was thick and large in size, freshly baked and amazing. However, the curry dishes had a strong garlic smell, especially in the Garlic Chicken Curry. The Butter Chicken Curry also had a slight unpleasant smell. Maybe the water they use is not good quality? But the other two curries were not as bad. I personally liked the Seafood Curry the most. It had a mild level of spiciness, just right. Also, I appreciated that they served each item on a hot plate separately, instead of mixing them all together. I wonder if it's a family-run business? The staff were friendly and made the experience pleasant. I will definitely go back again!

Kichino-dai, Chofu City, Tokyo. Located right next to the Shinjuku-bound platform at Shibasaki Station on the Keio Line, this is an Indian & Nepalese restaurant. It's known as "Machi Indu." Opened in February 2016. I love cheese naan♪︎ (๑❛ڡ❛๑) Delicious!! It's a local restaurant, but it's been five years since I last posted. When heading towards Shinjuku, I use Tsutsujigaoka Station. When heading towards Chofu, Tama Center, or Hachioji, I use Shibasaki Station. Shibasaki Station only stops at local trains, but there are plenty of dining options (continuing the Shibasaki Strongest Legend series). Among them, the valuable Indian restaurant, Naan, is located here _〆(゚▽゚*) On a weekend after 11 am, no other customers, only one customer behind me. Two staff members. I think five years ago, the kitchen was an Indian person and the hall was a Nepalese person, but maybe they have changed. Payment is made after ordering verbally. The restaurant has a long structure in the back. ◆Today's Order◆ Cheese Naan Set 930 yen It's quite rare to find a Cheese Naan Set for under 1000 yen, isn't it φ(・ω・`) The curry was the daily spicy chicken & vegetable, and I asked for a mango lassi for the drink ヾ(○・ω・)ノ The cheese inside the naan was so melty (๑╹ڡ╹๑) Delicious. You can enjoy it even without dipping it in the curry. The daily curry was well simmered, like butter chicken with vegetables. It was just the right level of spiciness for me (*^ω^) The bento for take-out includes one curry, naan, saffron rice, and salad for 650 yen, which is quite affordable, so it seems like many people use it. It will continue to be one of the long-standing restaurants (’-’*)♪ #LocalSupport2022Summer① #Machi Indu #A shop called Naan is a shop called Naan #Lunch is a great deal #Right by the station #Revisit #Indian cuisine #Nepalese cuisine #Indian curry #Takeout #Very high likelihood of revisiting

Saturday holiday lunch. Today, my body craved for some spice. I decided to go to a Nepalese restaurant in town. One of the reasons for choosing this place was the 40% point rebate offered with a certain cashless payment method. The restaurant's specialty is freshly baked naan bread, hence the name "NAAN". The lunch menu includes A set (750 yen) with one curry, choice of naan or rice, salad, and a drink, and B set (790 yen) with two curries, naan and rice, salad, and a drink, among other options. This time, I chose the B set (mutton curry, shimeji chicken curry, lassi). The curry at this Nepalese restaurant in town had a good amount of spiciness and was quite delicious. The hot and fluffy naan was a must-have addition. After the meal, I had a lassi to settle my stomach, and then paid the bill. I paid 790 yen and received a 316 yen point rebate, making it effectively 474 yen. A satisfying and filling lunch deal. Thank you for the meal.

August 10, 2021. It's my first visit. I love Naan and Indian curry. Lately, I haven't had it... I want to eat it!! So, I researched curry restaurants that I can go to with my commuter pass. And I found this place, NAAN! Two points caught my attention! First, the lunch set is very reasonable. You can choose 3 curries for 830 yen... Isn't that a great deal?! (I usually go for the set where you can choose 3 curries, haha) And second, they have my favorite spinach curry! It's not paneer, it's chicken which is a bit disappointing... Recently, I feel like I don't see spinach and Indian cheese curry, "Saag Paneer", as much anymore... Sad (TOT) It's about a 30-second walk from Shibasaki Station North Exit. It was an unusually scorching hot day, so being close to the station was really helpful...!!! I visited around 13:30. There was one group of customers before me. When I looked at the menu inside the restaurant, the prices were higher than the ones outside. The 3-curry set I was eyeing was 900 yen. You can choose from 6 curries including the daily special, but honestly, there weren't 3 curries that caught my eye, so I went for the 2-curry option for 790 yen. The curries, spinach chicken and vegetable curry, were both of medium spiciness, and I had lassi for my drink. They immediately served the salad and drink, but it took quite a while for the curries to arrive... I waited about 25 minutes from being seated until they finally arrived. I wanted to have the lassi with the curry, but by the time the curries arrived, the ice had melted and it was diluted... The naan was piping hot, so I waited a bit before tearing it. It was fluffy and quite filling. I usually get at least half more naan, but today, one piece made me quite full. The "spinach chicken curry" was okay, nothing special. The chicken was bite-sized and easy to eat. The "vegetable curry" had potatoes, asparagus, carrots... I think? The potatoes seemed a bit watery, maybe they were frozen? This one was also just okay. The "lassi" was tasty, but the grainy texture bothered me... Well, I probably won't visit again. *The inside of the restaurant is quite hot, so be extra cautious if you're planning to eat spicy food here! (I wonder if the air conditioning is working properly...?)

Shibasaki - A typical Indian-Nepalese restaurant located just a minute away from the north exit of Shibasaki station on the Nankai Line. The menu offers a B lunch set for 700 yen, where you can choose two types of curry with a huge naan. The companion chose mutton curry and the daily curry with enoki mushrooms and chicken. I opted for the curry rice set with spicy chicken curry. The salad was average, but the curry was very spicy yet manageable. I also enjoyed a small bottle of beer, which was a rare find. The service was great, with the staff even providing extra towels when they saw me sweating from the spiciness. Overall, it's a great value for 700 yen and I wish this Indian-Nepalese restaurant at Shibasaki station north exit all the best.

I used the Chofu Passport and was able to enjoy a curry for just one coin! I personally wanted to eat the butter chicken curry, so they applied it for an additional fee. The curry was rich and the naan was fluffy and very delicious! It's right in front of Shibazaki Station, so it's easy to access. I want to go again. The rice is piled high! Do you want a refill? They even ask about that, haha.

I ordered a second serving of naan bread, but both times it was disappointing because they were lukewarm. The curry was okay. I wonder if they always serve lukewarm naan bread? Maybe it was just busy this time. Also, I don't like it when they cut the naan bread for you, it feels like too much service. But I'll still go back (laughs). Thank you for the meal.

I visited for dinner and wanted to eat a lot, so I chose a service set for two people. The set included curry, rice, naan, kebab, salad, and a drink, which made it feel like a good deal. The restaurant is small, so it's best to contact them in advance if you have a large group as there may not be enough available tables.

Daily curry for 780 yen. The freshly baked naan is delicious. The curry has a lot of coconut milk and the spices are mild. It's tasty, but I wish the curry had more depth. If you want to eat slowly in a private setting, this place is perfect.

The cheese naan was surprisingly good despite the reviews. It was chewy and satisfying, and delicious until the last bite. The chicken masala curry had too much meat and not enough sauce, lacking a bit of impact. However, I would definitely want to eat the cheese naan again if it's nearby.

I visited during lunchtime. It was my first time, but my companion had been there 2-3 times before. Firstly, the service was too slow. There were only two customers, including us, but it took almost 30 minutes for our order to arrive. My friend said it's usually faster, so something must have been off that day. The curry and naan were average for this type of restaurant. However, the cheese naan stood out as particularly delicious compared to other places. The prices were reasonable, and I would consider visiting again if I have the chance. The menu also had very affordable alcoholic drinks. Thank you for the meal.

After work, I suddenly thought, "I'll have a solo curry and drinks for dinner tonight." There's a curry restaurant called "NAAN" just 30 seconds walk from my nearest station. You can check the location of the shop on Tabelog. Usually, when I drink at a curry restaurant, I'm with someone, so it's rare for me to go alone. But that's how I felt that day. I started with a beer to wet my throat, looked at the menu, and decided on "Chana Masala" for 770 yen and "Cheese Naan" for 400 yen. It's an unusual choice for me because today is all about curry and drinks! The Chana Masala is a curry with chickpeas, full of flavor and spices, without much sauce. The texture of the chickpeas is enjoyable, and it's quite spicy since I ordered it very hot, but that's what makes it go so well with beer. The Cheese Naan was a bit different from what I usually like, a bit on the sweeter side. I was hoping for more saltiness from the cheese. Nevertheless, the Chana Masala with plenty of beans and the Cheese Naan alone were filling, but the tipsy me ended up ordering more: "Garlic Tikka" for 650 yen. It's chicken tikka with a strong garlic flavor. It goes perfectly with beer. The tender chicken texture with a spicy garlic seasoning. Just this dish makes me want to drink three more beers. Sometimes, having a solo drink like this isn't so bad. And since it's close to home, it's reassuring. Thank you for the meal.

Upon exiting Shibasaki Station, there is an Indian restaurant located not far from the ticket gates. The restaurant has around 20 seats, so it is not very large in scale. There is nothing particularly noteworthy about this type of Indian restaurant, as they can be found anywhere. I decided to get a curry bento for takeout. There are 6 types of curry to choose from, each priced at 600 yen including tax. You can also choose your side dish between naan, rice, or salad, and select the level of spiciness. I chose the chicken curry, which came with three large pieces of chicken. I ordered it spicy, and it was just right for those who enjoy spicy food, reaching a level of deliciousness. It seemed like the chicken was stir-fried after I placed my order, and it was so tender that it could easily be cut with a plastic spoon. The rice was saffron rice. While the curry had a good depth of flavor from the chicken, I felt that the curry sauce itself lacked a bit of flavor and spices. Overall, it was simply delicious.

During lunchtime, we ordered a set where you can choose two types of curry to share for two people. The mutton, spinach chicken, keema, and vegetable naan were large and chewy. When we took it home, the chewy texture was no longer there, but when eaten fresh at the restaurant, it was delicious! The curry portion was quite small. The seasoning is on the lighter side, I think. It might be a bit lacking if you want to order extra naan. It can be slow when the restaurant is busy. The taste is not bad, and the staff were friendly. Thank you for the meal!

I rarely go to the shops near my home, but today I woke up in the afternoon feeling lazy and decided to visit "NAAN" for lunch. The restaurant has been open for 4 months and offers 6 different curry options for lunch sets. I ordered the Cheese Naan set for 850 yen, which came with a drink and salad. The Cheese Naan was filled generously with cheese, making it quite heavy but delicious. The curry I chose was the Spinach Chicken, which was creamy and had a hint of coriander. The Cheese Naan was a bit too heavy for a morning meal, but it would be perfect for a night out at a local izakaya. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

If you happen to see the sign of NAAN at the north exit of Shibasaki Station, you'll be lured in by the smell of curry (lol). The Naan Special Set for 990 yen (tax included) allows you to choose two out of six types of curry, so I went for the Chicken Curry and Keema Curry. The set also includes kebab, kin, rice, salad, and a choice of drink, so I picked lassi. The curry was quite delicious! It had a taste that appeals to Japanese people, but it was really tasty. The Keema Curry had a unique blend of spices (couldn't tell if it was cumin, coriander, or black pepper) that I enjoyed. The naan was large and fluffy on the outside, but crispy in the center. And with the free refills, it was a strong combo. Just getting seconds of the Chicken Curry and Naan would be quite satisfying. The lassi was refreshing and not too watery, a proper lassi drink that goes well with curry. The rice was a bit mushy, which was disappointing, but overall, the place might be your typical "Indian curry restaurant in your area," but the prices are reasonable... in fact, quite cheap for the satisfaction it brings. The friendly and attentive service was also a plus. It was a shame that smoking was allowed inside, but I'll definitely visit again when I crave curry. I heard that the Cheese Naan Set is quite popular, so I'll aim for that next time.

In the evening after work, I knew I would be finishing late, so I decided to order takeout in advance. I found a place online and ordered the Special Bento, Butter Chicken curry, and Cheese Naan. I also added some Cumin-flavored Potatoes. The contents of the bento were delicious as expected, but the portion was larger than I thought, and I ended up feeling full on my own. The Cumin-flavored Potatoes were spicier and tastier than I anticipated, perfect as a side dish with beer. Overall, it was a great meal. Although it's not in a convenient location for me, I would love to try a different dish if I have the chance to visit again.
