When I took my son to the National Museum of Nature and Science, the restaurant inside had a long line (by 11am), so we decided to come here instead. I won't say it was bad, but it wasn't particularly delicious either. It was more like the quality of food you would find at a festival. For those who want a proper meal, it seems like it would be better to go to Seiyoken on the 2nd floor of the same building. Thank you for the meal.

While studying, I had lunch at a restaurant near the station. You pay at the counter first, like a cafeteria, and then take your food to your seat. The staff doesn't really walk around the seating area, so it's a nice and quiet place to study. I had curry rice for 780 yen and a large iced cafe latte for 530 yen. The quality of the food was good, and the cafe is located right above the lobby or entrance of the Tokyo Culture Center. It's a nice space. I will definitely visit again. The meal was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The food is not bad, but not necessarily worth going out of your way for. Eating with plastic utensils and in paper containers gives it a school lunch vibe. The location seems to be the main draw of this place, with plenty of seating for a nice break after walking around. The chairs were comfortable to sit in.

Just a short walk from JR Ueno Station Park Exit is the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, which has been a prestigious venue for Japanese music since its opening in 1961, hosting numerous opera and classical concerts from both domestic and international artists. Inside the building is the cafe HIBIKI, a relaxing spot for concert-goers and park visitors alike. I was invited to a classical concert as part of the Tokyo Spring Music Festival and decided to stop by cafe HIBIKI for a light meal before the show. The cafe offers a self-service system where you order food and drinks at the counter before moving to the cafe area or outdoor terrace. The terrace seating is spacious and pleasant. Managed by Ueno Seiyoken, the sausage dog I ordered was surprisingly delicious! Thank you for the meal.

After taking a walk in Ueno Park, I decided to stop by this cafe for some soft serve ice cream. However, they were sold out of soft serve! So, I ended up getting a pudding instead. The pudding was firm and had a rich flavor with a nice balance of sweetness. The cafe is located inside the park and has a terrace seating area, which creates a nice atmosphere. However, it can be quite cold during the winter. While walking around the park, I was warm thanks to my down jacket, but sitting down was chilly. After a short break, I left the cafe.

This is a cafe located in the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in Ueno Park. They offer hot dogs, curry, hayashi rice, borscht, yakisoba, and meat sauce spaghetti. I tried the tuna dog and sausage dog, both priced at 500 yen each. Drinks start at 400 yen. The tuna dog was visually appealing and filling. The sausage dog had curry-flavored cabbage underneath the sausage. - Fura Fura Kansai http://fukunishi.blog.jp/archives/88970574.html

Art museums can be tiring, right? Your feet hurt and you just want to take a break, but it's hard to find a good place. Well, in front of the Western Art Museum, there is a cafe inside the music hall where you can relax and unwind. Enjoy!

At 4:00 pm, I had a meal at Ueno Seiyoken 3153 store, and when I went up to the rooftop of the building, I saw a statue of Saigo-san in front of me! This made me want to take a walk in Ueno Park after a long time. It was relatively empty on a weekday, with only a few students on a school trip. As I wandered around, I came across a pottery market that was quite crowded, so I continued wandering. Feeling thirsty, I went to a cafe attached to the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. They were only serving on the terrace that day due to the main hall being used. I had an iced coffee, while my wife ordered panda-shaped pancakes. She ended up not finishing it, so I tried a piece - it was slightly sweet and just like the picture. Towards the end of our meal, some sparrows hopped over and looked at us, so I ended up giving them some pancake crumbs. The main purpose of the day was to watch "Madame Butterfly" (Tokyo Nikikai). Interestingly, the first time I saw Madame Butterfly was in a commercial for Momoya's "Squid Salted Entrails" by Norihei Miki in 1971. Later, I found out that the seats inside the building were located next to the main hall, where you can enjoy wine during intermissions. Additionally, I discovered that the restaurant we visited earlier was actually Seiyoken's branch.

This is a café in Ueno. I visited it for lunch on a holiday. I stopped by during the waiting time for a meeting. The terrace seats were very spacious and comfortable. The menu was also extensive and very satisfying. I would like to come back again.

The cafes in Ueno Park are limited in number and always crowded, making it hard to find a seat. I decided to try this one because it seemed to have more seating options and a better chance of finding a spot. Luckily, I was able to find a seat. I ordered two café lattes for 470 yen each at the indoor counter. The lattes were served in paper cups on a tray and I took them outside to the terrace seating area. All the seating was outdoors. The coffee was made using a drink machine, not drip coffee. They also offered light snacks like pancakes. Unfortunately, the weather was bad that day, which was disappointing. I think it would be a great spot to enjoy the open atmosphere on a sunny day. There were many sparrows flying around, which delighted the children watching them. It was a unique experience being outdoors. After finishing our drinks, we disposed of the cups in the trash bin. It was self-service. Thank you for the meal.

Salome is a woman who will stop at nothing to achieve her desires, and I admire her for that. However, I know that I can never measure up to her. On a weekday, I visited the Ueno Mori to see an exhibition of my favorite artist, Klimt. This time, the exhibition seemed to focus more on the "power" of women, rather than the warm and comforting Klimt that I love. In the midst of the Taisho Democracy, actress Sumako Matsui shared the stage with Madame Sadayakko in a play called "Salome," solidifying the position of actresses at that time. Salome symbolizes a woman who will do anything to get what she wants. When I met Yudith II that day, she was just like Salome. The refreshing smile of Yudith I overwhelmed me, leaving me with an indescribable feeling. I bought the exhibition catalog and went to a familiar cafe in Ueno to review it while enjoying the world heritage site. This cafe is a perfect place to calm my frustrations and enjoy a hard cider on a day when it's not raining. As I slowly read through the catalog, I realized that women who accumulate a sense of accomplishment and exude that experience must be incredibly charming. In today's society, I try to leave behind the heads of the people I fall for and focus on moving forward in my own life, even though my progress is slow at times.

After visiting the art museum, even though I wasn't very hungry, I wanted to take a break and relax, so I stopped by this place. Pandas have always been a symbol of Ueno, and I couldn't help but think of that (laughs). They offer coffee, light meals, and drinks, and you can choose to sit inside or outside on the open terrace. Since the weather was nice, I opted for an outdoor seat, and it was very pleasant. The hotcakes and coffee were just average, but the panda-themed dishes were definitely worth trying! It was a relaxing experience in Ueno on a sunny day. Thank you for the meal.

HIBIKI is a hidden gem cafe in the midst of crowded cafes. Despite it being February, it was warm enough to sit on the terrace. They even provide knee blankets for when it gets cold. There were six chubby sparrows that approached looking for food. Have you ever seen sparrows come this close before?

I went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in Ueno to see Munch's "The Scream". Some might say I'm obsessed with Munch, and I have to admit, I think so too. But hey, at least I'm not the one bragging about watching "Bohemian Rhapsody" dozens of times, right? (laughs) Even though I might not get to see it again, the thought of missing out makes me want to see it even more, especially since it's supposed to end on the 20th of this month. I entered at 1 pm and came out after 3 pm. These kinds of exhibitions don't let you go at your own pace, so it can be quite tiring. I thought about stopping by Starbucks to rest, but the Munch exhibition was crowded (laughs), so I decided to walk towards the station and went to the café at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan instead. The water in the surrounding moat-like area was frozen. There was no one on the terrace seats. Of course, I wouldn't want to sit there either. As I lined up at the counter, there was an announcement to reserve seats first, and everyone rushed to get a seat, which was quite amusing. I managed to secure a table at the far end, and ordered a double espresso. Despite the grand appearance, it was a self-service café, so I was surprised when the espresso was served in a paper cup. Even more surprising was the amount of espresso, which was almost the same as a regular blend. I took a sip and muttered "Wow" before looking up at the ceiling lights. Being alone in such a place didn't really help pass the time, and by the time it was past 4 pm, I was tired of browsing through food review sites (laughs) so I decided to leave. After that, I had curry in Kyobashi. (laughs)

In November 2018, I visited Ueno to see the "Rubens Exhibition" at the National Museum of Western Art in Ueno Park. Currently, Ueno is buzzing with the "Vermeer Exhibition" and the "Munch Exhibition," as well as the training for the separation of Shin Shin and her cub Shan Shan at Ueno Zoo. I enjoyed viewing Rubens' paintings with my dog Nero until the closing time. Afterwards, I stopped by "cafe HIBIKI" at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in the same park. Only the terrace seats were available that day, and I had the Panda Milk Bread for 290 yen, with a cute panda face on it. Lately, I've been seeing updates about Shin Shin and Shan Shan on Instagram almost every day, which makes me feel a bit emotional.

On days when the Cultural Hall Grand Hall is in use, only the terrace is open for a certain period of time. When it is not in use, the space is also open during the breaks of performances in the hall, just like the wine service during intermissions in the Cultural Hall. The operation is the same as the restaurant inside the Cultural Hall, Seiyouken. It is self-service, with coffee and beer served in paper or plastic cups, but sparkling wine and wine are served in the same glasses as during the intermissions in the Grand Hall. After visiting museums or art galleries in Ueno Park, on a nice day, you may feel like stopping by the terrace. The entrance with steps may be a bit noticeable, but it seems relatively easy to find a seat most of the time.

I have watched the performances of the Ballet Association many times and have always felt a fresh sense of excitement each time. But this time, there may not have been a work that taught me what ballet really is. Date and time: 9th (Sun) Matinee, Doors open at 12:15 / Show starts at 13:00. Venue: Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Main Hall. Organized by: Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture. Sponsored by: Chacott Co., Ltd. Conductor: Alexei Baklan. Performance by: Japan Ballet Orchestra. Original choreography: Marius Petipa. Revised choreography/direction: Victor Yaremenko. Choreography assistance: Tatyana Lebetskaya. Music: Adolphe Adam. Ballet Mistress: Maiko Taylor, Asuka Tsuneyama, Shinya Okuda. Artistic Director: Katsuko Okamoto. Medora: Yurie Kajiya (Principal of Houston Ballet). Conrad: Kosuke Okumura (Principal of New National Theatre Ballet). Feedback from audience members: "The Pirate Matinee of the Japan Ballet Association. I was drawn to this performance because of the lineup of Kajiya-san and Terada-san, Okumura-san's role that was not a prince, Kinoshita-san's Rankadem and Tamai-san's Odalisque. There were many highlights, a speedy development that kept me engaged until the end, and I was completely satisfied with the performance." "Japan Ballet Association's 'Pirates' Matinee. It was a full-length performance but it felt like a condensed version, with a fast-paced development and packed with dance, so I didn't get bored for a second. I was there for Okumura-san, but I was also happy to see Kinoshita-san and Terada-san. It was Kajiya-san's debut, and she had a cool and bright naturalness that was wonderful. Ali was very Ali." "Japan Ballet Association's alternate cast 'Pirates' continued group dance, character dance from 'Living Garden,' and pure classical from before, the music seemed to enter the body or maybe because it was the last show, the Soiree today felt like everyone's mind and body were in sync and it was very, very good!" Cast: Ali - Hideyuki Arai, Gulnara - Asako Terada (First Soloist of New National Theatre Ballet), Birbanto - Naruya Arai, Rankadem - Yoshito Kinoshita (Soloist of New National Theatre Ballet), Seyd Pasha - Daichi Takatani, Odalisque - Rui Tamai (First Artist of New National Theatre Ballet), Toriko Hirakawa, Mami Hirao. Before the show started, I read through the program with champagne in hand and my expectations were high. The prologue and epilogue by Byron were also deep. Due to the influence of K Ballet, the image of Ali being shot with a gun seems to have stuck, but Ali was alive until the end, so I feel like tradition was also preserved. In the past, I was disappointed by the champagne at the intermission, but this time it was great. As a reward for passing the Ballet Proficiency Test Level 2, I am very grateful. Thank you very much.

I express my sincere respect for NBS's decision in the midst of the Corona turmoil, where numerous stage performances and events are being canceled. NBS Ballet (Japan Stage Arts Promotion Association) @NBS_ballet #The first day of the Paris Opera Ballet's 2020 Japan performance of "Onegin" has ended! Here are the lead actors, Albisson and Ganio. We were able to open the curtain thanks to the warm support and cooperation of the audience. I truly appreciate everyone who supported this performance from the audience and beyond.

Ueno is always crowded and it's a problem, but this place is a hidden gem because it's not crowded at all. The Mont Blanc dessert was delicious and didn't seem like it would only cost 500 yen! The terrace seating was also very pleasant!
