Thick-cut pork cutlet set meal for 2,409 yen. Visited around 7:30 pm on a weekday. The interior has a calm atmosphere with dim lighting, consisting of 5 counter seats, 2 tables for 2, and 6 tables for 4. There were 6 groups of customers before us. Ordered the thick-cut pork cutlet set meal, which takes some time due to its thickness. You can choose between white rice and black rice, so I chose the rare black rice. Started with dried daikon radish, thinly sliced and sweetly seasoned with a crunchy texture. Then came shredded cabbage and sesame. You can have unlimited refills of cabbage and rice. There are two dressings available: yuzu soy sauce and cream with green shiso. The cream dressing with green shiso had a refreshing taste that paired well with the creaminess. After about 20 minutes, the thick-cut pork cutlet was served, along with black rice, miso soup, and pickles. The pork cutlet was about 2.5 cm thick, with a good bounce and a crispy yet tender texture. The fatty parts were sweet and very delicious. The staff were polite, offering refills and providing good service.

I ordered the "Thick-cut pork loin tonkatsu" and it was served in the best condition, piping hot. First, they brought me some dried daikon radish, which was surprisingly delicious and changed my perception of dried daikon. Then, I got a mountain of salad with sesame dressing, followed by rice, pickles, and the awaited tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was crispy on the outside and tender inside, which impressed me. Although the tonkatsu was around 3,000 yen, which may seem expensive, the high level of satisfaction made it worth it.

When shopping with Ginmitsu, I often visit this shop. There are several long-established tonkatsu restaurants in Ginza, but I think this one is the best! I always order the fillet cutlet, but today they had something called white truffle salt. I didn't order it because I like the sauce here. Also, the dried daikon radish is unexpectedly delicious, so I buy it to take home. The influx of foreign tourists has caused the place to be extremely crowded, so it would be nice if they could expand or come up with some other ideas.

I went around 3 PM on Saturday. There was a wait of about 30 minutes due to 4 groups ahead of us, but we were able to enter. I ordered the recommended skewered fillet. The meat was tender, the batter was not too heavy, and it was delicious without being too rich!

I visited the department store around 2pm on Saturday afternoon. It was crowded even though I tried to go at a different time, so I had to wait for about 15 minutes. I ordered the Negi Oroshi Rosu Katsu set. The meat was thick and crispy, and it went well with the Negi Oroshi. It was delicious.

For Thursday's lunch, I visited "Washin Tonkatsu Anzu" located on the 11th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi. This Anzu restaurant seems to originate from Fukuoka and has been selected as one of the top tonkatsu restaurants in 2021 and 2019. I arrived around 11:25, thinking they open at 11:30 according to Tabelog, but they were already open from 11:00 (lol). I managed to get a seat at the counter quickly as there was one available. I ordered their specialty, the Joshu pork loin tonkatsu set with a bottle of beer. I started with a small bottle of Super Dry to cleanse my palate, and first, a large plate of cabbage was served. I thought it was a bit too much cabbage, but I enjoyed munching on it. After about 6-7 minutes, the Joshu pork loin tonkatsu arrived. It was juicy and flavorful, with a hint of sweetness in the meat. I first tried it with salt, then dipped it in the sauce. The sauce was not too sour and had a nice sweetness to it, which I liked. I then got a refill of rice and enjoyed the tonkatsu with a ratio of 7:3 salt to sauce. It reminded me of a tastier version of a popular tonkatsu chain in my hometown. It's nice to visit a restaurant on the department store's restaurant floor once in a while. Thank you for the meal!

A tonkatsu restaurant in the Ginza Mitsukoshi restaurant area. The thick cut tonkatsu is about 2 centimeters thick, juicy, tender, and delicious. You can choose between white rice and black rice, and choosing black rice helps ease the guilt haha. The cabbage is fluffy and incredibly tasty haha. Tonkatsu is really the best. I recommend going early after opening!

I went to a tonkatsu restaurant called "Washin Tonkatsu Anzu Ginza" near Ginza Station in Tokyo. The restaurant had a cozy interior with a counter and a few tables. I ordered the Rosu Katsu Set for 2,299 yen and the Hire Katsu Set for 2,409 yen. The meal came with pickled daikon, cabbage, and miso soup. The Rosu Katsu was tender with a sweet taste in the fatty part, while the Hire Katsu was incredibly tender and delicious. I enjoyed trying different condiments like salt, olive oil, wasabi, and sauce. Personally, I preferred the salt seasoning. The green shiso cream dressing was also tasty. Overall, it was a great meal.

I went as soon as it opened. It's a tonkatsu restaurant located inside Mitsukoshi. I ordered the Joshu pork loin cutlet (2,690 yen) and a cola (480 yen). First, I was served dried daikon radish. Then came the sesame, mortar-ground sesame, and cabbage. The tonkatsu arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. It was a lot of volume for 150g. There were sweet and spicy sauces, and salt on the table, which was nice because you could eat it to your liking. The dressings were refreshing and creamy, which I found unusual for a tonkatsu restaurant. They also had olive oil, so I thought it could be used as a salad dressing with salt. You can choose between black and white rice. The cutlet was very delicious. However, the service was lacking. Perhaps due to being short-staffed, explanations were inconsistent at each table, and I had to figure out what was what (the person next to me was also confused). Even when I tried to call for attention, I was sometimes ignored. Considering the somewhat high prices, I'm not sure if I would revisit.

Today I visited this restaurant. I ordered the Miyazaki beef loin cutlet set for 4,500 yen. I was unsure if I could finish it, so I chose the medium portion size. I chose white rice over multigrain rice. The rice is free for seconds. The cutlet was tender with just the right amount of fat, and had a very gentle and fluffy taste. The cabbage is all-you-can-eat. The chilled, crunchy cabbage is incredibly delicious. The miso soup is also comforting. The staff are friendly and likable.

Tonkatsu Anzu on the 12th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi. I visited without hesitation because it said "black pork". Recently, Ginza is full of foreign brands, and this shop is the same, crowded with foreigners. It doesn't feel good because the staff are not attentive. As expected, I ordered the black pork tenderloin cutlet for 4,400 yen, but it was not that great. Perhaps the frying method has become careless. It doesn't match the cost. Thank you for the meal.

On the evening of January 30th (Monday), I went to Anzu Ginza store on the 11th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi. This popular tonkatsu restaurant based in Fukuoka has been selected as one of the top 100 stores. The atmosphere inside is calm and relaxing. Looking at the menu, there are so many options to choose from. Before the main dish arrived, several dishes were served. First, we had dried radish in Matsumae style as a starter. Then, a large bowl of cabbage with other vegetables was served. You can also ask for refills. The non-oil yuzu dressing was good, but the creamy shiso dressing was especially delicious. The sauce comes in red for sweet and blue for spicy. Just before the tonkatsu arrived, they grated black sesame which had a wonderful aroma. And finally, the main dish arrived. I ordered the Rosu Katsu Zen (medium) for 2,189 yen. The 190g portion was just right in size. The crispy coating and tender meat, combined with the sauce sprinkled with freshly ground sesame, made it so delicious that you could eat as much as you want. I chose ancient rice instead of white rice, which made me feel a bit healthier. The miso soup was flavorful as well. Pickles were also served generously. I'm curious about other items on the menu, so I'll try them next time.

On the 11th floor of Ginza Mitsukoshi, there is a tonkatsu restaurant called "Anzu" that I often visit alone. I always choose the hirekatsu, but this time my order got mixed up and I ended up with the hirekatsu set. Surprisingly, the hirekatsu was tender and delicious! I usually go for the rosukatsu, but now I think hirekatsu is also a great choice. The cabbage and pickled radish that come with the meal are also incredibly tasty! I highly recommend eating the cabbage with olive oil and salt, it's the best way to enjoy it. The hospitality of the staff is also wonderful, I really love this place. Thank you for the meal!

The tonkatsu restaurant, rumored to be popular among women, lives up to its reputation. Located in the Mitsukoshi department store restaurant floor, this restaurant was selected as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog in 2021. During lunchtime, especially during the New Year period, it was extremely crowded! I sat at the counter and ordered the popular "Tonkatsu Set with Pork Loin and Fillet" for 2200 yen. First, I enjoyed the dried radish pickles, which had a nice crunchy texture and made for a great appetizer while waiting (it made me want to drink some alcohol). Next, a generous amount of shredded cabbage and a bit of lettuce were served, with a choice of cream dressing or yuzu dressing. The cabbage was crunchy and refreshing, and both dressings were delicious. The long-awaited tonkatsu arrived, served with two types of sweet and savory sauces and sesame seeds to sprinkle on top. The pork loin was tender with just the right amount of fat, and the fillet was juicy. While the tonkatsu wasn't particularly light in terms of oiliness, the overall feeling after eating was surprisingly light, possibly due to the low fat content and the benefits of the cabbage. Additionally, you could choose between multigrain rice or white rice, and I opted for the multigrain rice for a change. It was delicious with a freshly cooked taste. The miso soup was piping hot, and there was also a pickled vegetable side dish. I regretted asking for a small portion of rice, as I was extremely satisfied with the meal. The service staff were friendly, and the dishes were well thought out and balanced. Above all, this tonkatsu restaurant offers a guilt-free dining experience.

▶️ Summary (Recommended for people like this) If you want to enjoy a quick and delicious tonkatsu lunch without the usual lunchtime crowds, this place is recommended. With a wide variety of menu options, you won't get tired of coming back here. ▶️ Exterior & Access Located on the 11th floor of Mitsukoshi department store, the elevator lines can be long, so taking the escalator might be faster. Despite being a bit far from the entrance, the restaurant is centrally located in Ginza and the building is well air-conditioned, making the wait relatively comfortable. ▶️ Interior & Seating The restaurant offers wall-side sofa seating, counter seating, and table seating. The interior is spacious and cozy, with slightly dim lighting and a calming atmosphere. There don't seem to be private rooms available. ▶️ Menu In addition to the recommended black pork and oyster tonkatsu, the menu offers a wide variety of options. With choices that make you want to pair them with beer during lunchtime, you won't get bored of the menu. ▶️ Main Dish Black pork tenderloin tonkatsu → Priced at over 4000 yen, the quality did not seem to match the price. The tenderloin lacked flavor and tenderness, making it difficult to chew. However, previous experiences with the loin cut were crispy and flavorful, so it may vary depending on the cut. Overall, the tenderloin is not recommended. ▶️ Staff The staff, mostly in their 40s and 50s, are polite and efficient. Communication is not particularly engaging, but they work diligently. ▶️ Operation Service is notably slow, especially for the tenderloin cut. Even the loin cut ordered by the companion was delayed, and the tenderloin arrived very late. Considering the price and the slow service, it may not be worth revisiting. ▶️ Child-Friendly The menu offers a variety of options suitable for children, including bite-sized tonkatsu. The convenience of waiting indoors in a commercial building might make it easier for families, although the prices may seem a bit high compared to other options.

My partner, who is a huge Snoopy fan, accompanied the daughter of a Snoopy friend living in Australia (currently studying in Japan) to the Snoopy exhibition at Ginza Mitsukoshi, and we decided to have dinner together afterwards. The restaurant was located right by the escalator, with a counter and tables for four people. Three of us ordered the Rosukatsu set (small), a combination of Rosukatsu and Hirekatsu, and the thick-cut Rosu set (230g). I ordered the thick-cut Rosukatsu, which had a perfect golden brown crispy coating and a moist texture that made me feel the happiness of eating meat. Surprisingly, the creamy dressing with shiso leaves received high praise. When drizzled over shredded cabbage and topped with a bit of yuzu dressing, the citrusy and refreshing aroma of the shiso made me keep adding more cabbage. (I ended up eating two-thirds of the extra cabbage we got for the three of us.) With unlimited rice and cabbage refills, this place is perfect for when you want to have a rice festival with tonkatsu or when you want to enjoy tonkatsu guilt-free while on a diet. It's especially convenient during harsh weather conditions like summer or winter, or when it's difficult to search for restaurants outside in the rain or snow.

Visited on Saturday around 14:40. Waited in line with 6 groups ahead of us. Entered the restaurant after 15:00. They take a break from 16:00 to 17:00, and we were the last ones to enter before the break. Ordered the Pork Cutlet Set Meal (medium size) for 2080 yen. Shortly after ordering, they served us pickled radish, cabbage, and various sauces. The cabbage was free for refills and had a nice crunchy texture. The pickled radish was also delicious, similar to daikon radish. After waiting for over 10 minutes, the pork cutlet arrived. You can choose between sesame sauce, sweet sauce, spicy sauce, or salt to eat with the pork cutlet. The batter was fluffy, but a bit heavy from absorbing too much oil. We ended up removing some of the batter while eating. The rice was glossy and had a nice sweetness to it. Overall, everything except the batter was great. Thank you for the meal.

On a holiday at the Mitsukoshi restaurant floor, everywhere was crowded, with over an hour wait for the eel at Bincho. Among them, Anzu seemed relatively easy to get into. Today, I was hungry, so I ordered the pork cutlet set meal (medium) ❤️ Anzu never disappoints. The thick meat is delicious with sweet fat! You can also get refills on the salad and rice! I like to eat the salad with olive oil and salt rather than dressing! I also love the dried daikon radish they serve at the beginning. I brought my accumulated thank you cards today, so I had a cream soda as a treat ☺️ Thank you as always!! Thank you for the meal!

A tonkatsu restaurant in the restaurant district of a long-established department store in Ginza. The loin katsu is the typical safe and tasty type you find in department stores. Located in the restaurant district of a department store, specifically Mitsukoshi in Ginza. They have a tonkatsu restaurant from a famous store in Hakata. The prices are relatively high, around 2000 yen for a loin tonkatsu. They offer a lineup of black pork and Joshu pork. I had the normal Joshu pork loin tonkatsu set. It comes with dried daikon radish as an appetizer, which is quite tasty. The cabbage salad is all-you-can-eat, with standard quality cabbage and tasty French dressing. The loin tonkatsu looks crispy and delicious, but the bottom part of the breading is slightly peeling off. The red meat part may be slightly overcooked, but the fatty part is sweet and good. You can choose ancient rice for your meal. The miso soup has a strong dashi flavor and is delicious. Overall, it's a decent tonkatsu place in a long-established department store's restaurant district, but it's not exceptionally delicious.

Located in Ginza, the tonkatsu specialty restaurant "Anzu Ginza" is situated on the 11th floor restaurant floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi New Building. The company is operated by a company that has its own farm and wholesale business as its foundation. The restaurant receives meat that is managed and aged in-house, as well as freshly harvested rice and vegetables from their own farm, "Tokoton Farm", every morning. Particularly, the rice is milled and cooked in a pot daily so that customers can enjoy new rice all year round. The founder is a descendant of a three-generation horse and cattle eye specialist. The pork varieties used are mainly "Joushu pork Tokoton" and "Kagoshima black pork". Currently, they have expanded to Fukuoka, as well as the United States, Taiwan, and Thailand. The Ginza store is said to be the first store to open in the Kanto region. The customers at this restaurant seem to be more women who stop by while shopping rather than students or office workers. Perhaps in the future, the number of inbound customers will increase. The menu includes dishes such as "Joushu pork fatty loin", "Joushu pork loin", "Joushu pork tenderloin", and "Shrimp cutlet set", as well as a variety of fried foods. Today, I had the "Kyoto vegetable tasting set". You can choose between white rice and black rice. [Appetizer] "Pickled dried radish" - A pickled radish with a spicy and crunchy texture, leaving a lingering delicious taste. [Sauce & Dressing] The red bottle contains tonkatsu sauce (sweet), while the blue bottle contains tonkatsu sauce (spicy). The blue spicy tonkatsu sauce is a regular tonkatsu sauce, while the red sweet sauce is closer to demiglace sauce. Dressings include "Yuzu dressing" and "Green shiso creamy dressing", as well as "Olive oil", "Soy sauce", "Matcha salt", "Curry salt", and "Sesame and surikogi" for grinding sesame seeds to mix with tonkatsu sauce. With such a wide variety of sauces and dressings available, you can enjoy trying different flavors and discovering new tastes. [Salad] "Shredded cabbage" - Extremely finely shredded fluffy cabbage. You can mix it with various dressings. Salad is all-you-can-eat, so go ahead and enjoy it. It is served in a large bowl-like plate. The cabbage is first dressed with dressing, and for seconds, you can enjoy it with the sauce. [Miso soup] "Wakame miso soup" [Rice] "Black rice" - It's actually a five-grain rice. It has a chewy and fluffy texture. The description mentions that "white rice" is freshly harvested new rice from their own farm, cooked daily in a pot. [Pickles] "Chinese cabbage" and "White pickled daikon" - The white pickled daikon is not too sour, with a slight sweetness. [Main dish] "Kyoto vegetable tasting set" - The tonkatsu has a beautiful fox-like color coating. It includes yuba roll cutlet, Kyoto vegetable cutlet, shrimp cutlet, and tomato cutlet. The yuba roll cutlet is filled with burdock. The Kyoto vegetable cutlet wraps pumpkin with cabbage and fries it. The tomato, when heated, increases its sweetness and tastes like a fruit. The shrimp cutlet is a classic with minced shrimp inside. The crispy and light coating doesn't feel greasy as if it's not fried at all. Although it doesn't contain meat, I was asked if I was okay with that, but as I am not a vegetarian, I did feel a bit unsatisfied in the end. Overall, this place is recommended for when you want to enjoy tonkatsu elegantly after shopping in Ginza, before a movie, or for a refined lunch during work.

This tonkatsu restaurant, located on the 11th floor of the Ginza Mitsukoshi new building, opens at 11:00 am on Sundays. When I arrived around 11:30 am, I was the 4th group in line, and I was able to get a table in about 20 minutes. When I left, there was a line of about 10 groups, so it's better to go early. They use a brand pork called "Tokoton" from Gunma Prefecture, which is a breed with 50% black pig blood. I ordered the "Thick-cut loin katsu set" (including tax 2,629 yen). It was a substantial size at 220g. Unlike the trend of serving tonkatsu with a rare pink center, this one was cooked thoroughly inside and had a clean white appearance. The thick cut made it very satisfying, with a juicy and flavorful texture that was enjoyable to chew. Compared to other famous tonkatsu restaurants like Hayashi SPF or Iwanaka Pork, the meat quality may have been slightly inferior, especially in terms of the oiliness of the breading. The side dishes that came with the set were impressive, with the dried radish being exceptionally delicious. The cabbage was also unlimited and the dressing was so tasty that I almost kept asking for more. The miso soup had thick seaweed, showing attention to detail. Additionally, you could have unlimited refills of both white and black rice. The service was attentive, and I had a relaxing time.
