Located on the 1st floor of the Ginza Corridor Street, about 5 minutes from Ginza Station, is the "Sandaimme Bunji Ginza Honten" restaurant. This place is famous for its Sendai beef tongue, oden, and from November to early April, they serve a delicious dish called "seri nabe." The restaurant has a calm atmosphere with slightly dim lighting, and can accommodate over 40 seats including counter, table, and semi-private rooms. Today, I visited for the first time to try the "seri nabe" before the season ends. What I had: - Seri Nabe (soy sauce broth), additional: Sendai wheat gluten, triangular deep-fried tofu, zosui (rice soup) - Sendai beef tongue - Princess long yam tempura - Triangular deep-fried tofu - Hashed lotus root - Sake: Kurikoma Mountain, Wataya Yukinosukeindo, Nichirinda The "seri nabe" was truly amazing. When the ingredients were brought out, I was surprised by the amount of roots, but they had a sweet taste and a great crunchy texture. There was no bitterness, and it was very easy to eat. The leafy part had a unique aroma and a different flavor from the roots. The soup, which contained the umami of chicken, was so delicious that I couldn't bear to leave any behind. I dipped Sendai wheat gluten and triangular tofu in the soup, and finished it all off with the zosui. The princess long yam, also known as the "iron bar yam," is a high-quality long yam famous in China. It has a similar taste to Chinese yam, with a sticky and fluffy texture when made into tempura, along with a hint of sweetness. I am grateful for being able to enjoy such delicious food. Next time, I want to try the oden.

I went out to drink with 9 of my senior colleagues who love sake, and we found a perfect course with all-you-can-drink premium Japanese sake. There were many heavy drinkers among my seniors, so they were all delighted with the selection. The service from the staff was smooth and much appreciated. The course dishes, including beef tongue, grated yam rice, Yufuin-style pork, and fried foods, were all very delicious.

I wanted to eat something light and elegant as I had been eating a lot of yakitori and Chinese food when dining out. As expected, the oden was light and easy to eat. The dish that exceeded my expectations in terms of deliciousness was the beef tongue steak. I have had experiences where beef tongue was tough to chew, but this one was tender and flavorful, I liked it so much that I wanted to order another plate. It's no wonder the restaurant has beef tongue in its name. Although I couldn't eat anymore due to being full, there were many other tempting dishes on the menu like grated nagaimo potato hash. The atmosphere of the staff was also pleasant, making it a restaurant I would like to visit again.

I visited for lunch on Wednesday at 12:30. I was seated at the counter without waiting. I had a very satisfying set meal lunch. The rice was free for seconds, making it a good value. It seems like a good place to come for drinks in the evening as well. The healthy set meal gives a guilt-free feeling, even when getting a rice refill.

I used the counter seat, and the table didn't feel cramped. It didn't come right after ordering, but I didn't feel like I had to wait a long time. I had the 90g beef tongue lunch for 2190 yen, and the beef tongue was very elastic yet tender. Watching it being grilled in front of me added to the deliciousness. There were a lot of side dishes that added to the satisfaction. I even had a second helping of rice! The quality of the side dishes was high, and they were all delicious. While there are other beef tongue chain restaurants, I felt this one was the best. I would like to visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant at 11:30. It seemed to be right after opening as there were plenty of empty seats. I ordered the beef tongue lunch set (choosing the middle option in terms of grams). As shown in the photo, the lineup was very luxurious. The beef tongue, in particular, was exceptionally delicious, especially because it was the "core tongue." You can choose from other side dishes such as rolled omelette, sweetened mashed beans, sashimi, and more. My friend said the sweetened mashed beans were delicious. Definitely worth a try!

At GW, I visited the restaurant as soon as it opened with a reservation for two at the counter seats. Located in a bustling area in the middle of Corridor Street, the interior had a calm atmosphere with slightly dimmed lighting. The spacious counter seats were comfortable. We ordered a mix of beef tongue, various types of oden, and pickles to go with our drinks. The oden had a gentle taste with a clear broth, and the beef tongue was tender and delicious without any unpleasant smell. The daikon radish and hanpen in the oden were generously sized. We started with just one order to gauge the portion size, which was just right for two people to share. The daikon radish in the photo was automatically cut in half by the restaurant without us having to ask, showing their thoughtfulness. Despite being busy, the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and the kitchen staff worked silently and diligently. When we requested two small portions of soba, they were served in a way that was perfect for sharing. Excellent service! When we ordered zunda mochi for dessert, we were also provided with roasted green tea and a replacement hot towel without having to ask. The total bill for three drinks came to almost 10,000 yen. It was a satisfying meal. I would definitely consider revisiting the restaurant with two people at the counter seats.

I arrived at the Ginza Corridor Street at 11:30 a.m. and was the first to enter the "Sanzaime Bunji," a restaurant specializing in salted oden and Sendai beef tongue. It was my first visit. I sat at the counter in front of the grill where I could watch the cooking. There were 15 other customers who came in after me. I ordered the Marbled Beef Tongue Set for 1690 yen. The set included 60g of marbled beef tongue, barley rice, tail soup, pickles (cabbage pickles), Nanban pickles, cold tofu, beef tongue lard oil, grated yam, and a choice of one side dish from a selection of 5, I chose the rolled omelette. The table was equipped with shichimi (Japanese spice mixture), pepper, soy sauce, toothpicks, and paper napkins. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. The 60g of marbled beef tongue was cut into 7 slices. It was thick and very tender. The rolled omelette had a seaweed filling which added a nice ocean flavor. The Nanban pickles were so delicious, I ended up getting a second helping of rice just to enjoy them more. I added the grated yam to the barley rice, which was a great combination. The service was excellent, and the meal was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A Sendai izakaya that specializes in beef tongue dishes. I couldn't decide between the weekday limited salt kettle oden and the chicken thigh with miso grilled set meal. The deciding factor was the choice of 5 types of sashimi, with marinated tuna being the best. Another small dish featured tender beef tongue with garlic oil. The beef tongue in the soup was also very tender.

I used it for a company dinner. It's a really nice restaurant in the middle of Corridor Street that can be used for business meals. It was very crowded. The course with a hot pot was around 6,000 yen. It may be a bit pricey, but it was very delicious.

Near Hibiya Midtown, there is a restaurant called Sendai Gyutan 3rd Generation Bunji where business people can have a good time at night. I have only been there for lunch, but I found it very comfortable. I recommended it to my friends as well. Instead of the beef tongue, I had the Chicken Nishikyo-yaki set meal. I was happy to see so many side dishes. The traditional Japanese plates were also lovely, making me want to recreate them at home.

I wanted to eat celery hot pot, so I visited this restaurant. It was difficult to make a same-day reservation, but I managed to adjust my schedule and get a table. The duck roll and pickled mackerel served as appetizers were delicious and satisfying. Next, I tried the salted pot oden with a variety of ingredients. The thickly sliced daikon radish was well seasoned and tasty. I thought one of the ingredients was beef tendon, but it turned out to be beef tongue, which was also delicious. There were various ingredients to add, so it seems like a good idea to try different combinations. I also ordered Miyagi specialties such as grilled beef tongue skewers and zunda mochi, all of which were very tasty. The celery hot pot had a rich chicken broth and paired perfectly with the celery. I was told that the celery roots were delicious too, so I made sure to eat them all. To finish, I made a delicious porridge with barley-mixed rice, which was very satisfying. There were many other tempting dishes on the menu, so I would love to come back to this restaurant again.

Mixed beef tongue is highly recommended. The salty flavor makes you crave for white rice! The gentle and slightly oyster-flavored broth is so delicious that you can drink and eat as much as you want. Daikon radish, beef tongue meatballs, eggs, fluffy fried tofu, hanpen (fish cake), and white konjac are all tasty. Be sure to try the scallop seaweed tempura! The aroma of seaweed is amazing, especially when paired with salt. Finish off with a large rolled omelette and grilled rice ball. And for dessert, let's have some zunda ice cream.

I had a 4700 yen course (with all-you-can-drink) at this restaurant. Overall, the food was delicious, but the sashimi was not fresh and I ended up leaving it. Since this place mainly focuses on dishes like beef tongue and oden, I think they don't need to force sashimi or other raw dishes into the course. The beef tongue was delicious. The wasabi that came with it, which seemed like pickles, paired really well with sake! The seaweed and bamboo shoot tempura was surprisingly delicious. And the main dish, the seri nabe soup, was very tasty. The chicken was tender and the seri with its roots intact was impressive. I turned it into a porridge, but the staff added too much soup, making it impossible for the rice and egg to mix properly. It felt like the rice was just sinking in the soup without the egg mixing in. Overall, it was good, but it was a shame.

I visited for the first time with high expectations for the shabu-shabu. The table for 4 people was a bit small, but it was not a big issue. We ordered the all-you-can-drink course, and both the sashimi and beef tongue were delicious. However, the highlight was the main dish, the shabu-shabu, which was incredibly delicious and satisfying. In addition, the Kirin draft beer served in small glasses directly from the tap was of high quality and a hidden gem. The food was so good that I ended up ordering a shabu-shabu set online after returning home.

Actually, I lived in Sendai for 6 years, and finally tried the seiryunabe in Tokyo. I ordered oden, beef tongue, and seiryunabe. Oden: The broth was rich and had a gentle flavor. The appetizers of duck and herring were also delicious. Beef tongue: Delicious, ended up fighting over it with my companion. Seiryunabe: It's great to be able to eat seiryunabe in Tokyo. On this day, I had a year-end party with colleagues from the same department as last year☆ Considering everyone's way home, I searched for a restaurant around Yurakucho on Tabelog and found this place. I have never been to Tohoku before, so I was intrigued by Sendai's menu items such as beef tongue and seri hot pot, and made a reservation for the 4700 yen course. When I visited, there was a sign outside the restaurant saying "Fully booked for reservations today." It seems like the end of the year is busy after all! First, we had beef tongue miso tofu. It was very refreshing to have miso on tofu, and it went well with beer. Other dishes included salad, assorted sashimi, wakame and bamboo shoot tempura, beef tongue, and seri hot pot. The beef tongue was reasonably thick with a great texture and tasted delicious. I tried seri hot pot for the first time. It is a dish from Miyagi Prefecture that uses seri from Sendai. Seri, including the roots, was added to the pot, and it had a bitter taste which was very delicious! (^^) I thought it was better than chicken meat alone ★ (laughs) For the finale, you could choose between udon or rice, so I ordered udon. Noodles eaten in a broth are the best! The dessert was yuzu sherbet. And that concluded the course meal. I was satisfied with the food, but the atmosphere in the Corridor Street of Ginza is nice, and I was glad to have used this restaurant, Bunji, with an interior reminiscent of a traditional Japanese restaurant. What's more, the beer on the all-you-can-drink menu was a rare Kirin Lager, not Asahi, which made me happy. Now, I don't have any plans to eat out for the rest of the year, so this will be the last review of 2022. During the New Year's holidays, I will stay in Tokyo alone and enjoy spicy hot pot and teppanyaki that I don't usually eat, and I will have a rare opportunity to live alone again (laughs). The children will go to Kyoto where my partner's family is. Thank you very much to everyone. It was fun checking Tabelog every day. I was quite busy and couldn't comment, so I apologize if I became distant from some people. It's a bit early, but have a great New Year!!
